Looking at Anyka she sighs, "I can see why you enjoyed being an only child." She then goes in the house.

Anyka considers for a moment. "Yeah...but consider that what you've just gotten back, she's never had. Try not to let her feel shut out. She still calls them your parents...she doesn't quite feel like she belongs."

Finishing the small amount she sampled, she takes her bowl to the sink and washes it out. Going to Vishanti she puts her arms around her, "How bout you love? Did you need anything else to eat or anything before we go?"

"No sweetheart, I'm good. Ready to leave whenever you are my love." Vishanti replies relaxing into the embrace.

While Gashka is in the bathroom she says, "I guess a bath will have to wait until we get back from the mines."

"It will be all the more enjoyable for it I suppose." Vishanti says with a chuckle.

After using the bathroom and thinking about what Anyka said she goes back over to her big sfister. Shrugging she kind of sighs, "I'm not trying to make her feel left out. What does it matter who pays for what? I'm sure there will be plenty of stuff that we're gonna need at some point that she can help with. I'm trying Anyka, I'm just not used to her yet. She's my little sister, but I don't even know her. She sure has the little sister attitude thing down though...but that might be a family trait." She says with a smirk, "So, you ready to go put the beat down on some spiders?" She asks, trying to lighten the mood a little.

After Gashka is done in the bathroom, Derika hurries up and uses it. Once she's done taking care of her more personal business she heads back to the others. Going back to Vishanti she wraps her arms back around her and smiles a little, "I look forward to it then." She sighs before pulling back a little reluctantly, "Alright, so are we ready to go or what? Do we have everything we need to head down into these mines?"

I'm trying to make sense, but I think my brain is mushy right now.

"Definitely!" Anyka says with her trademark wild grin.

Hitome changes into clothes more appropriate for the heat, donning a black halter over the enchanted bodywrap she wore around her chest, and loose-fitting pants, along with her gloves, bracers and leather belt. Gathering the rest of her bag with the rest of her gear, she heads downstairs a bit surprised to see Laenid lying on the couch with her head in Jin’s lap, and Jin in her natural form, yet at the same time, finding the image so….adorably perfect that it draws a small smile to her lips.

Looking up and seeing Hitome she gives her a somewhat sheepish smile, "Oh hey Hithome, we were just talking and wondering if it would be okay for Laenid to stay here with us? There's really no need for her to be alone in that house, and that would free up room for someone else that might need a place." She says as she continues to stroke Laenid's hair as her head rests against Jin's chest, her other hand resting gently on her back as she holds her.

I'm sorry, I don't think I described how they were sitting on the couch together very well, so I kinda redescribed it. Jin is kind of holding Laenid against her, with Laenid's head on her chest as Jin softly strokes her hair in a comforting kind of way.

Hitome smiles. "I don't see why not." she says walking into the living room.

She smiles gratefully at Hitome while gently rubbing Laenid's back, "See, everything is alright. We'll worry about moving you over here after we get back from this mission, but is there anything you need from your place before we meet the others at the school?" She asks, already having gotten their things together, and put on all the new items that Michael had made or enhanced for her.

Laenid sits up and smiles at Hitome. "Thank you."

Eldan finishes getting the rest of his gear on. "Ready."

Chris comes out of the bathroom. "I'm guessing we're ready to head out then."

Double checking to make sure she has everything she nods, "Yup, ready to go here." She says, returning Anyka's grin, "Let's go kick some spider ass." She says with a laugh as they head out the door.

Making sure she has everything as well, she takes Vishanti's hand and gives her cheek a kiss as they leave the house and head towards the mines.

She nods, "Okay, do we have everything we need?" She asks before patting Laenid's hand and getting up of the couch. picking up the larger bag of holding that she bought, "Do we need to stop by your house for anything Laenid?" As they get ready to leave she shifts back to her human form, still not comfortable wandering about town in her natural state.

Laenid shakes her head. "I have everything I need."

You arrive at the mines to find a dwarf standing by the entrance with his arms folded. "Been expectin' ye. Barclay sent ye, didn't he?"

She nods her head, "Yes Sir, he did."

"I'm sorry it took us so long to get here. Chris was up all night making the alchemist fire that we need, and my folks got in yesterday and I was trying to help get them settled." She explains.

She holds out her hand to Laenid and gives her a little smile, "Okay, then let's go meet up with the others at the school."

Derika sighs but doesn't say anything as Gashka talks about "her" parents. She knew that Gashka wasn't used to her yet though, so it would take some time, and deep down she knew Gashka wasn't trying to be hurtful....but it was starting to feel like she didn't really want another sister.

Laenid sits up and smiles at Hitome. "Thank you."

"Anytime." Hitome says with a smile. "I'm ready to go as well, I tend to travel light."

Jin gives Hitome a grateful smile as they get ready to meet up with the others at the magic school.

Sensing her love's momentary shift in mood, Vishanti subtly rubs her back in support.

Derika leans into Vishanti a bit and tries to give her a little smile to let her know she's okay as they prepare to get instructions from the dwarf.

"Ah'm Kierk," the dwarf introduces himself. "Follow me."

He leads the way into the mines, passing by a large cavern which seems to house a fallen fortress. You descend for about ten minutes before you come to an unlit passage that is covered in thick webs. "There it is. Haven't gotten much further than this. Ah'll leave ye to it as Ah'm not fond o' spiders."

Kierk retreats back up the tunnels you came down.

Chris pulls a torch out of his bag and lights it. "Who wants to go first?"

Toni waves at Jin, Laenid and Hitome as they approach the school.

Looking at her love she says, "Do you think Moldovina could illuminate the way for us love?"

"I can go ahead of us and keep an eye out for stuff along with Anyka if we can get a little light in the area." She says looking at Anyka, "Is that okay with you?"

Jin waves back at Toni as they approach, "Hey, we didn't keep you waiting too long did we?"

"I think I'll stick to the rear in case anything tries to ambush us," Eldan offers.

"No, we just got here a couple of minutes ago," Toni says. "We're just waiting on Michael and his contact."

She nods, "That would be great Eldan, thanks."

She nods, "Okay, well...as long as we're waiting for them I need to tell you something. The three of us have decided that Laenid should stay with us. There's no need for her to be in that house all alone, and this way Sir Barclay can use it for someone else that might need a home." She says, smiling up at Laenid before looking back at Toni.

Toni smiles at Laenid and Jin. "I'm sure that'll help some folks out here."

You can see the faintest hint of a smile on Konstantyná's face.

She blushes lightly and nods.

"I'll give you the key once we get my few belongings out of the house," Laenid says.

"Why don't you go ahead and do that now," Toni suggests. "Just leave the key at Barclay's so you don't have to worry about it later. I know he's at the wedding but I'm sure there's someone you can leave it with. We won't leave without you."

"Are you sure Ms. Toni? You think we have time to do that?"

"If Michael can make us wait, we can make him wait," Toni answers with a smile.

She smiles, "Okay, we'll try not to be too long. Come on Laenid and Hitome, let's go get your stuff and take it home." She says, a happy lilt to her voice.

Laenid walks beside Jin back to the house. "Is it strange to only live in a house for one night?"

She thinks about it for a moment before shaking her head, "I don't think so. It's okay to not want to be alone."

Laenid smiles. "I think you're right."

She unlocks and opens the door to the house. "After you."

She giggles and goes in the house that Laenid stayed in.

"Thankfully, it's only the few things you bought for me at the tailor's and Halfpocket's," Laenid says, gathering things up.
