Elena walks arm in arm with Kāma around town after they finish breakfast. "I wonder when the smells of home will stop bothering me."
"I wish I knew beloved. It sseems that the ssame ssymptom has been afecting you lately." Kāma answers as they walk. It was fascinating to see the town under snow. Coming from Deshur the experience was a new one.
Elena sighs. "I suppose nothing about being pregnant is easy. Is there anything you want to do while we're out?"
"Well at leasst you have a beautiful glow about you. You look even more ravishing than usual." Kāma says with a smile, caressing her beloved's cheek. "We can see if the ink your mother ordered for the Mendhi night has arrived."
Elena grins. "So will you do both your hands and feet?"
"Yess, we might as well go all the way. Besides, I want to be as beautiful asss posssible for you." Kāma replies excitedly.
Elena swings around Kāma's arm to give her a tender kiss. "My love, you are already more beautiful than I could ever imagine."
Returning the kiss with equal tenderness, Kāma hums happily. "As are you beloved."
Who would have ever thought that the best decision she would ever make in her life would be to leave Deshur.
Rajni stirs on the couch.
After the class had let out, Elsa had gone to the market to get a couple items for her dinner tonight. While at home, she thought about her teaching as of late. The students were getting frustrated, she could tell because she had the same attitude at Castle Snowhawke. But unlike her teachers, she didn't have nearly the experience, nor the patience, to work through it. Why Michael thought she could teach was still beyond her. Elsa needed to do something, she didn't have a clue what it was or how to.
After several minutes, she headed back to the school house to either talk to Michael or Jelks. One of them had to have some pointers for her.
Elsa finds Michael in his study, taking a rare break as of late.
Asha shakes Rajni lightly by the shoulder.
She startles slightly as she wakes up and opens her eyes. Looking around a bit she still sounds a little sleepy, "Huh...wha...Oh, mama. Was I sleeping? I thought I had a book..." She says as she looks around for the book she had been reading.
"You dropped it on the floor a while ago," Asha says. "It's nearly time for lunch. The paladins left."
She sits up and rubs her eyes, "Really? I didn't think I was that tired." She sighs as she sits up, "Is Celine still asleep? I probably shouldn't let her sleep too long or she won't sleep well tonight and Arista would probably kill me."
"Let's head back then," Elena says, leaning her head on Kama's shoulder.
"She's been up for a little while, playing with Juhi again," Asha answers.
She nods, "That's good. Does Juhi seem to be having fun? I mean I know there's a slight age difference, but I think she needs other kids to play with.....to do kid stuff." She says thoughtfully.
"Juhi's doing fine. Celine is more than enough distraction for her," Asha says.
"That's good. Do you need any help getting things finished up for lunch? I'm sorry I passed out like that."
"Yes, I could use a hand," Asha says.
She nods, "Okay, just let me know what you need me to do." She says as she stands up and stretches.
"I need you to chop up the vegetables," Asha says as she walks back to the kitchen.
"Okay Mama." She says as she follows her mother back into the kitchen and fetches one of the larger knives to start chopping the vegetables with, "Do I need to skin and peel them first, or just chop em' up as is?" She asks while feeling stupid that she knew so little about food prep.
"Alright my love." Kāma says kissing Elena's forehead as they walk through the streets toward home.
"As is, Rajni," Asha says.
She nods and begins to chop up all the vegetables.

Elena enjoys the walk home and the subdued sounds when she walks in the door. "I guess they are done for the day, thank Amanurata."
"Sounds like someone's home," Asha says to Rajni.
She nods as she continues to chop the vegetables, "We're in the kitchen." She calls out as she moves some of the chopped vegetables to a bowl and starts chopping some more.
Elsa approached and cleared her throat.
Kāma smiles, taking Elena's coat after she closes the door behind them.
Celine plays for a little while but seems to get bored quickly. Once she's played with all her toys she starts wondering when mommy will be coming to pick her up. Taking her bear with her, she goes to one of the windows that looks out onto the street and watches for her mommy.
Elena pokes her head in the kitchen. "It's just us."
"What's wrong, Celine?" Juhi asks, joining her.
Michael looks up. "Elsa? What is it?"
Nodding she keeps her eyes on the vegetables as she chops, trying to be careful not to cut her fingers in the process, "Did you have a nice time out?"
She sighs as she looks out the window with a forlorn expression. Pointing to the outside she looks at Juhi and says with a slight sad tinge to her voice, "Mommy workin'."
"I.......I need some advise. About my teaching."
"I feel better, if that's what you meant," Elena says. "Did the inks show up yet, Mother?"

"She'll be back," Juhi says. She understood what happened to her own parents, but Celine probably wouldn't so she says nothing more.
Michael adjusts a pair of spectacles slowly slipping off his nose. "What sort of advice are you looking for? Teaching methods or whether you should be a teacher?"
Asha shakes her head. "They should be here by tomorrow. Are you going to want lunch?"
"Ehhh...I don't know about that," Elena says hesitantly.
Taking a seat, she let out a sigh. "Methods. I really have no clue what I'm doing."
"So what sorts of issues are you facing?"
