@Nesipho: You can also have joined the group later on the road, if it fits better your story (like Pakiru, it'd have happened before you all started adventuring, but it can clearly be once the group got to the Mwangi lands).
@Lyra: No, no custom crafted items. As for the enchantments, just keep in mind we're using the Automatic Bonus Progression rules, and that I require the items to have enhancements beside enchantments (as in, an item has to be at least +2 to have an enchantment like throwing and become +1 throwing).
@Ezra: The spells you picked on the scrolls are fine. I still need to calculate spent wealth versus actual wealth to everybody, though.
@Sundakan/Pakiru: As I already asked via PM and your colleagues asked here: please keep posting with your character.
@Everybody: Are you guys ready in terms of Teamwork feats/backstory/etc.? I want to start checking the sheet for issues/etc. (and copy them to my local spreadsheets), but I won't start doing it if you're still making small changes. Please let me know if your background and sheet are already frozen for my last review. Maybe we can start something already while I'm reviewing so we don't lose much time on Gameplay :)
Let me know if I missed any questions!

I haven't had a chance to edit our background yet. I had to go out of town last minute for business. I was going to add some precalculated attacks to my sheet but I'm assuming you don't need those, and I was still thinking about dropping extra rage for lookout if that's ok and none of the players object.
I'd love to get into gameplay as soon as possible though.

Pakiru Tamrat |

Mine's done.
I really hope you guys don't expect me to make this my default alias, because you'll be disappointed. Sometimes I'm going to forget to post with this alias in the Discussion thread (hell, in the Gameplay thread too on occasion). It happens.

I'm good with where I inserted the party meet up (aboard the ship Genivere) unless you want me to change it for story reasons.
My sheet is good to go.
Ready to get started whenever.

Micah Haynes |

My meeting was so unbearably boring that I calculates and typed in all my common attacks with my phone. So that's done. I haven't heard any objections to potentially needing recuperation more often so I probably will switch that. I have a lot of driving ahead of me but I'll get to the background as soon as possible.

Aw that's disappointing. Two weapon fighting with automatic progression is harsh.
Can I have the enchantment on them, but be dormant unless they are attuned properly (since attunement can be changed 1/day)?
I'll do my last run through to make sure everything's finalized.

Kejak |

If everyone's ok with my background, then I'm ready, I guess.

Kejak |

Okay, while putting in the Teamwork Feats, I noticed I have taken a feat which overlaps with an item, so I think I'm removing the feat and taking a different one. So, is Ability Focus allowed to be applied to Stunning Fist?

Micah Haynes |

@GM- i don't want to rush your initial gameplay post but would it possible to open the thread so we can dot it (make a post and then delete it) just so it appears in our campaign tabs?
Also, I'm going to trade out extra rage for lookout. If I keep running out of rage I can always retake it when we level. And, I should (hopefully) have time this afternoon to rework our background to meet everyone else much earlier. That should be the last thing I need to do before being completely done.

Kejak |

Me done too! Now Stunning Fist DC 32, it will only make me cry more when the monsters pass the Save :P

Lyra Tial |

Making a slight change. Switching from focusing on shortswords to daggers, because I'm realizing that I probably need to optimize my attacks a bit more. Automatic bonus progression means I need every +1 to hit I can get, and daggers are a little bit better.

Ezra Haynes |

I'll be trying to kick up a few standard buffs every fight. So hopefully I can help in the 'plus to hit' department.

GM Archlich |

Not sure if you have any idea of the complexity of your sheets, background and whatnot... It takes me a while to organize everything and check the numbers. Unfortunately this isn't the game for lack of patience :) it's mythic tristalt!

Kejak |

We know, we know! Just wanted to bump this a bit so I don't forget. :)

Micah Haynes |

Sorry to seem impatient. I know all too well how long it takes to go through characters like these (I've been running an 11th level mythic gestalt game for 6 months or so, and played in a 25th level mythic game for a little while). I just get nervous when there's long silences from the GM because there are quite a few high powered games like this on these forums that fizzle out before they really get started.

Yes... I'm aware about the action bottleneck problem. Sadly, there's nothing I can do other than live with it and assume I can't expect to go to combat with 5 buffs ready - I'll have to choose.
On the other hand, most of the spells or special abilities (through feats, etc) are to be used out of combat, where action economy is usually not as important. In combat, my plan is to use either Lunge+Long Arms or Dimensional Dervish to Stun Fist everyone around 70 feet. That should not take more than a couple of swifts, and once per day I can convert a Move to a Swift (superb for surprise rounds). Things like Studied Combat and so should only be used against a BBEG, when investing a full round to buff is going to be worth it.
Even with Tristalt you can't be perfect, can you? ;)
I'll add something about myself after work (including Time Zone).

Micah Haynes |

can we agree on how we're going to format our telepathy? I'd prefer not to just use italics because I like to include my character's thoughts in some of my RP and won't be able to do that if all of our italics are transmitted to each other.
what i'm accustomed to is "bold in quotes" for speaking and italics with no quotes for thought... could we maybe use 'bolded italics in apostrophes' for telepathy?
also, what does everyone else do for languages other than common? I have this language list that I use across all my games if people are ok with it? I just use google translate to get the other language and then post the english in a spoiler, for example: "Է խաղալ տեսնում եք , որ մեկ այլ լեզվի, ինչը , կարծում եմ, օգնում է ճշմարտություն , եւ եթե դուք գիտեք, թե այդ լեզուն , դուք կարող եք գտնել իմաստը թեգով :"

I believe I have added everything you asked for. If you see anything else let me know.
Also, my brother is wearing light armor which bards have no ASF% from.
He is using medium armor. Mithral Breastplate has an arcane spell failure of 15%. The "counts as one category lighter" is just for some effects like movement, but it doesn't count for ASF for example (it does reduce it in 10% though).

Nesipho Inkosi |

Agree "For transmitted thought"
Add to your list, Bosnian for the Sylvan language - since I just used it :) I'm fine with your list - not the exact list I've used in the past, but it doesn't really matter.

Micah Haynes |

Most mithral armors are one category lighter than normal for purposes of movement and other limitations.
please don't take this as argumentative (its your game and you can houserule whatever you want) but if that doesn't cover things like a bard's casting then what are the "other limitations"? The ruling your suggesting seems like it would only apply to movement (which seems to me different than the intention).

Hell, this is even a specific example used in the FAQ.
This means that mithral armor allows its wearer to use it when her own class features or special abilities demand her to wear lighter armor; in other words, the character wearing the armor is less limited. For example, a bard can cast spells in mithral breastplate without arcane spell failure, a barbarian can use her fast movement in mithral fullplate, a ranger can use his combat style in mithral fullplate, brawlers, swashbucklers, and gunslingers can keep their nimble bonus in mithral breastplate, rogues keep evasion in mithral breastplate, a brawler can flurry in mithral breastplate, characters without Endurance can sleep in mithral breastplate without becoming fatigued, and so on. It does not change the armor’s actual category, which means that you can still store a creature one size category larger in a hosteling mithral fullplate, and you can’t enhance a mithral breastplate with special abilities that require it to be light armor, like brawling (though you could enhance it with special abilities that require it to be medium armor), and so on.
As for Telepathy, I prefer something like <I am speaking in your mind.>
Bold+italics is too similar to just bolding a statement and then applying emphasis.
"Meaning this is the big reveal!" *Gasp*

Ezra Haynes |

Re spell failure: I also always thought bards could wear a mithril breastplate (as per the FAQ). If youre house ruling that it doesn't, please let me know. I may drop that armor. It's alot to invest just for the movement.

GM Archlich |

You guys are correct. My bad :) I misinterpreted what was written for Mithral. A sorcerer would still incur 15% ASF, but not a bard or magus that can use light armor without ASF.

Pakiru Tamrat |

I think I'm done, besides putting my attack bonuses/sequence and current buffs (assuming none, since we were assuming peaceful times ahead?).
I made one change to my sheet, in that I traded Improved Critical for Lunge. I forgot my Ectoplasmic Lash is already Keen.

Pakiru Tamrat |

Also traded one instance of Enduring Blessing for Sustained By Faith, as I was reminded that I need Tier 6 before I can take it twice.

Micah Haynes |

Hey all, I noticed that we didn't post descriptions in our initial posts (which makes sense since our characters have known each other a long time) but it would be helpful for me visualizing the game to read everyone's description... could we maybe post or link them here?

Sundakan |

Mine's on my sheet, but if you need a repost:
Appearance: Slender, long of arm and leg, and dark-skinned. Pakiru wears his hair in braids, knotted with the bones of the honored dead. He likewise is bedecked with jewelry of the same. He favors wearing the minimal clothing required for decency and protection, preferring to feel the wind on his skin and feel closer to the natural order.
He also faintly jingles when he walks.
