Seeing the threat Ilithial focuses on the 4 close together as one hand drops to a rod at his belt. A small bead of fire launches from the wizard and blooms when it reaches a point that allows it to engulf the shadows but not include any of his allies. I had not thought I would get to use this rod when we were assigned to the lower path. Ilithial muses as he steps back and away from the remaining shadow.

Could you be a little more specific on your results? There were several attacks and we don't know what happened. I expect that this encounter is pretty mild compared to our level, but it's still good to know what happened.


Z'dim stabbed one and weakened it and Ilithial's fireball fried that one and two more.

But yes this is a fairly easy warm-up encounter

Once the group is as healed up as we can manage Ilithial mentions When we rest I have prepared an extra dimensional space that should help keep us hidden and safer than trying to find a place in the tunnels. I will ask you to help choose a place for this space though as it must be anchored by a rope that should be placed in an out of the way spot.

Good ol' rope trick. Will easily hold us all but can't pull up the rope like in 3.5. And we will need to maintain a watch out the window provided and something that was aware of us could climb up and enter the space.

Between the two paths neither seems to be well travelled. The most recent prints look to be a group on horses going right into the larger tunnel. But a few travellers on foot have gone left into the smaller one. You do not see any prints from animals.

You go down the large path to the right and travel about an hour when the path splits again. To the right the path goes on as far as you can see with nothing special and the path forward is the way the riders went and you hear the sound of running water coming from that direction.
