Two more arrows dart through the air and implant themselves into the ground between Yurei and Gallix, but as Gallix looks down at the missed shots, a third arrow slams into his chest and through his armor.
Mr. Peppers is up, one move or standard action, and we'll move back to the top for full rounds
GM Red |
... Oops, just remembered Gallix's mutagen. Gallix, please ignore all damage from the previous two posts!
Mr. Peppers |
Hrm, I was trying to bless 'Sugi's katana when all this broke out so I'll assume I have that wand in hand.
Mr Peppers looks up just as a bunch of gobbos start launching arrows at everyone. "Ah crap.." He draws out his pew pew wand and is now dual wielding wands.
GM Red |
Yeah, I think it would have happened right as you took out that wand.
Mr. Peppers draws his trusty pea shooter, and three more arrows fly through the air as the goblins continue their onslaught.

Sirettis |
"My apologies, the mist is unavailable." She runs toward the tree, underneath the goblin with the green hat and stares at the redcap goblin. She snaps her fingers as the creature prepares its next arrow.

Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne |
Well that changed my plans! Well done, Peppers!
Gallix curses under his breath as the purple goblin falls to its death. "Ugh! I wanted to see you burn! Guess I'm alright with watching you fall, though." "I wonder what kinda nuts I can shake outta this tree," he calls up into the tree as he grasps the trunk and tries to shake the goblin from his branch.

"Are they all dead? Anything useful? Good thing they didn't have platforms up there for some firm footing."
Very welcome. I couldn't find the dragon's mods for combat though.
Cup |
Late to the party! Thanks for the expert botting!
Cup claps for everyone. "You did really well. Does anyone need healing? Let's do that quickly. Longjing and Isa, do you want to scout to see what is waiting us on the other side of that fort?" Cup repeats this request in auran for Sirettis's sake.
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne |
Gallix makes his way out of the bushes until he rejoins his party. A few deep cuts across his arms and legs show where the goblins' arrows grazed him, while some lighter scrapes show the result of his careless charge through the thick foliage. When he finally makes it out, he pulls his healing wand from his cloak and offers it to Cup. "Yes, please," he says with a grunt.
Sirettis |
Sirettis reapplies her wand to heal her wounds. "I am ready. Thank you Miss Poshkettle."
Isa does not notice a human in the camp. She does notice several crudely made buildings lit by torchlight, and an opening to a cave at the northwestern corner of the camp. She can make out several goblins standing in the yard, idly picking their noses.
"It sounds like there are other goblins in the camp. If they didn't hear us already, let us make haste."
Cup |
"They heard us already. I sang, and we had a full-scale battle going on!" Cup grins. "What I want to know is the layout to expect. Towers are standard issue with forts. Is anyone up in those towers?"

Mr Peppers gives D a sideways look of horror "I realize they are merely goblins... about as miserable a creature as ever could be Gnomes aren't too far behind really... but tossing a head over the wall is a bit barbaric for my tastes, not to mention we'd be better suited to wait to hear what the birds see."
Mr Peppers will check over the corpses to see if they are also bile infected, using a stick of course, no sense getting his shoes all nasty.

Gnomes aren't too far behind really
D. looks sideways at Cup, then Mr. Peppers again.
"She's hardly miserable, unless you stomp on her little heart.""Don't worry, i'm not going to do that. I prefer getting a-head of the enemy anyway. That was merely musing out loud."
At current time. It would be a good motivator for surrender however.
Sirettis |
"Isa, could you give an update? Hopefully they don't suspect you."
Isa nods (or whatever the equivalent is as a bird) and flies around the camp, checking to see if the goblins are on alert, and if there are any occupied towers.
Isa's Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Mr. Peppers detects some magical items on the corpses. Upon searching them, he uncovers two potions and a scroll in addition to 51 gold pieces. He also notes that all six corpses have remnants of Demon's Bile.
Isa and Longjing swoop back down reporting little in the way of guard towers, and they also notice the goblins Isa had seen previously are no longer in plain sight.
Examining the camp overall, Longjing notices that it's built upon a natural stone shelf of this mountain, and from your point of view, you get the sense it may be possible to climb the cliff face directly.

Mr Pepper's eyes light up once again with the blue visions of awesome begin to cloud his eyes. "MAGIC!! There's magic in them there goblins!" After taking a few moments on each he passes them along to whoever else would like to examine them, starting with Cup. "Are you still looking for practice? Nothing too extreme, but useful none the less...
After his curiosity is quenched, unless someone else points it out first, he'll mention the unstable looking rock face. Not sure climbing up those cracks is a good idea, unless you're a goblin that is. Looks like we'll need to use the stairs."
He'll of course reveal the items and everything once people have their chance to test their mettle, very teacher to student like.

GM, can we control that rock slide and where it goes?
Sir D. Arthraven |
Italics in bold mode are also used as accenting those words.
But i know you meant that anyway, RP wise it was too good not to kick that ball. Besides, the others might not have heard it.
GM Red |
Er, not really. Basically, climbing it is a second option if you don't want to take the stairs, and failing a climb check means a rock slide might happen... Maybe... :)
Cup |
Pity. Because that could have been amusing!
Mr. Peppers |
"Mr. Peppers, do you know what this potion is?"
Mr Peppers gets a shocked and hurtful look on his face at the question. "But of course! Its not a very difficult, similar to the first. I suggest you take your time and the name will come to you. The most important part of spellcasting is focus and concentration."
Cup |
Given that you can't retry spellcraft checks until the next day...
Cup looks up at him with dismay. "I have focus, don't I? This one must be a somewhat more advanced potion, or I'm sure I would have gotten it."
Mr. Peppers |
He frowns and shakes his finger "No no, its not. You just lack the proper focus. Its probably a gnome thing. Try again later when you aren't so distracted, its not something useful to us at the moment anyhow."
Mr Peppers then holds up the scroll "Anyone able to use cleric scrolls? Good for someone who doesn't do much attacking. Maybe you Miss Cup?"
GM Red |
What did you have in mind, Cup? I will always allow PCs to do creative stuff, within reason, of course.
