After a short walk north, you find the path and follow it to the cave's entrance. The air is thick here, completely unlike the Fall air elsewhere. The stench of sulfur wafts from the cave.

Sādhanā:
"I sense a shard here," Oblivion says.

"Oblivion says ther's also a shard in here so it could get wierd. Be ready for anything." Sādhanā says drawing the ebon blade.

Oblivion:
"Can you get a feel for the effect? Time distortion or atmosphere or anything like that?"

She places a hand on Arista's shoulder casting the protective force spell. "I'm pretty sure a Devil will be able to sense angelic blood."

Cast Ablative Barrier active for next 8 hours


Sādhanā:
"It's weak but it's drawing upon the power of Hell itself, creating a portal. I would be cautious going in."

"Wait!! This shard is creating a portal, drawing on the power of hell itself. Entering the cave may be literally fighting this thing on it's home turf" the magus says ominously.

Arista stops in her tracks, inches from the opening and looks back. "What choice do we have? We are the voices of the downtrodden, the arms of justice for the innocent and weak. We can't allow that thing to live. Even if this portal takes us to Hell itself, we can't back down now. As warriors of Good, we always know the risks we face. I won't be forced to back down, not now, not ever!" With a decisive nod of her head, she turns back around and heads into the cave.

As Arista walks into the cave, her footsteps sound like they are hitting metal. A rising heat permeates the cave as you progress. You reach an open chamber, the jagged fragment of the shard jutting from the ground, radiating an unholy light. The walls appear to be filled with molten magma, pouring forth from giant skulls into small stone basins. Several bodies lie on the ground, mutilated and tortured beyond recognition. Their weapons and armor litter the floor, but most appear beyond salvaging. Behind the Shard, you see the bone devil, his tail arched in a threatening position.

Orias rushes towards one of the bodies and picks up a weapon. The weapon changes into a slim ebon blade that radiates an evil energy.

Sādhanā's gaze locks onto the devil, a rapid chant generating 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 1mages of herself as each of the Oblivions develops a wicked silver edge. With a command word, the wings on her boot become a blur as she lifts an inch off the ground.

Standard action:Casts mirror image, Swift action:spend 2 arcane pool to make weapon +3 keen silver, Move action: activate boots.


The bone devil mutters an infernal incantation and makes some gestures.

Summon: 1d100 ⇒ 38; So close...

Narrowing its eyes, it leaps off the ground, hovering 10 feet in the air.

The devil avoids the majority of Sienna's icy attack and the rest hardly does anything to it.

Celestial:
""Go after the shard first, we need to take out his power source. I think then he won't be such a problem. Then we'll tear him apart!!"

She raises her arms and prays to her Goddess, "Great Goddess Sarenrae, guide our hands in this fight so that we might bring glory to you. Bless us and give us strength to defeat our enemy."

Everyone feels a surge of power flow through them as her spell goes off.

Free Action: Speak, Move action: Move to H8, Standard action: Cast Mythic Bless - +1 to attack, weapon damage, and saves. Can reroll one attack roll or saving throw.


Toni casts a spell, covering herself in a shimmering light.

Protection from Evil on self.


I'll see if Drago pops on between now and when I get home. *shrugs* Ya never know.

Charging forward staying close to the ground, the 7 Anizari magi streak towards the shard, lauching a powerful strike against it.

In a blur, she strikes again, sword flashing through the air to drive into the crystal with resounding force.

The shard explodes as Sādhanā drives Oblivion into it. A multitude of lights fill the room and another vision takes hold of everyone.

Go Ask Alice:
You see a grand marbled hall and a lone figure sits at a chess table. Bright sunlight pours in through the large windows. The figure wears a horned skull as a mask. The door at the far end of the hall opens and Vonder strides in.

"My, my, you hide in such a strange place," he says smoothly.

"But a&!*@@+s like you keep finding me," a female voice retorts. "What do you want Vonder? Another misguided attempt to kill me?"

"Ah, still sore about Jahlrem? He's been taken care of."

"I know," the woman replies. "Are you going to try and do the deed yourself now?"

Vonder laughs and takes a seat across from the woman. His face grows grim. "You've made that practically impossible now. Do you enjoy what you've become?"

"Vonder, I'm tired of your stupid questions. Actually, I'm also tired of calling you Vonder. I know the truth, Star-Spawn."

"Oho, figured it out, did you? You've always been a smart one, Alice. Too bad your lovers never appreciated it," Vonder says, an undercurrent of vindictiveness in his voice.

"What are you after?"

"The game has gotten a little more interesting, I see," Vonder says dismissively, taking a piece off the chess board and move another. "Your daughter has turned up at long last."

Alice looks up, her expression hidden by the mask. "So?"

"You're awful at pretending you don't care," Vonder says. "Let me get to the point..."

"Please do."

"She is the key to the kingdom...Perhaps you set it up that way, but I have her within reach," Vonder sneers. "If you wish to spare her life, tell me what you did."

"I'm sorry, Star-Spawn," Alice says defiantly. "R'lyeh must remained sealed away."

Vonder throws the board to the floor, his face twisted in anger. He grabs Alice by her red robes. "Perhaps we should take a trip..."

"Do your worst."

Everyone make a DC20 Will Save or be staggered for 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds.

Bone Devil: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

The bone devil shakes his head trying to overcome the visions. He lashes out at Orias once again with its stinger.
