She sighs as they reach the cave, "Of course I don't have a light source with me, what else is new?" She comments, starting to feel frustrated at how ill prepared for these circumstances she was.

She slaps her hand to her forehead, "Oh yeah....I guess I haven't used it in so long I kinda forgot. How will the rest of you see though? I mean...I guess the lava will give off some light...I don't know, I'll just be quiet now." She says as her face turns a dark shade of pink. Turning around she takes a step into the cave to see just how dark it was. Hearing Magestreia she nods again, "Okay...well that's good."

Her feet a couple inches off the ground, Rhadaya hovers after her wife, squeezing her free hand for a second, to allay her embarrassment.

Taking a deep breath she wills herself to relax. Tesia had no idea why she was feeling so flustered, but right now she just felt really stupid. As she feels Rhy take her hand and give it a little squeeze, the simple yet comforting gesture help to calm her. Taking a moment to collect herself she finally gives Cyna a nod, "Yeah...thanks. I'm really sorry, I don't know what's wrong with me. Let's go find some lava."

Turning around she focuses on her surroundings as she gives her eyes a chance to adjust. She stays alert as she makes her way through the cave, looking for any signs that might keep them out of danger, while helping them to find the lava at the same time. As long as shed had something else to concentrate on, she would be okay.

Safest way to the lava: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (4) + 30 = 34

"Since I don't need to hold a weapon, I'll take the torch," Magestreia says to Cyna, taking the Everburning Torch. She keeps to the middle of the group to provide illumination.

Mirrin looks around as well, just in case there were any traps.

The interior of the volcano is dotted with many natural pillars of varying heights. Tesia and Mirrin reckon the quickest way down would be to leap from pillar to pillar, though that would be rather difficult if one wasn't athletic enough. There is a longer path along the wall that spirals downward, but some areas are thin and probably brittle. The druid and rogue also see that certain areas of the volcano are scorched and unnaturally clear of debris.

DC 17 Knowledge (Dungeoneering) check.

She nods and explains what she sees, "Aside from the brittle looking spots on this path, the other thing that's slightly worrisome...is how some of these areas are scorched and seem unnaturally clear of debris. Almost as if....someone has already been here....but, who would stay in a volcano?" She poses out loud as she tries to work it out in her head.

I was kind of thinking the order go like, Tesia, Mirrin, Rhadaya, Sadhana, Celia, Cyna, Magestreia, and Sienna. Am I forgetting anyone, and what dgo you guys think about that marching order? I'm not great at battle tactics, so I'm not sure if that's good or not.

I actually like that. The likelihood of actual traps is probably small, otherwise, I'd say Mirrin first.

Seeing how narrow the path was, she knew they would have to go single file. Looking back at the others she says, "Okay, we're going to have to travel single file along this path. I think I should go first, followed by Mirrin, Rhy, Sadhana, Celia, Cyna, Magestreia, and Sienna bringing up our rear. Is that okay with everyone?"

You walk along the path for only a moment before Tesia spots five magma oozes slithering up the wall and onto the path, though portions of their large bodies hang onto the wall.

Sadhana and Cyna know that magma oozes are vulnerable to water and cold, immune to fire, their bodies can deal damage to weapons that touch them, and they will split into identical copies if dealt slashing or cold damage.
