Flug mutters something incomprehensible, makes an obscure motion with his hands, and using a spider casts a spell on himself.

Nastrod, Thorgrim and Gezzo all move toward the tower, with Gezzo moving into the entrance astride Lryhla. He snaps a shot with his crossbow while enroute, but the bolt sails wide and arcs high over the tower into the surrounding jungle.

As Gezzo enters the tower, arrows strike at him from overhead!

Gezzo:
Wow, what a Perception roll! The light shining through the entranceway, enhanced by sunlight entering the arrow slits in the walls, allows you to observe that several murder holes are present in the ceiling over the entrance walls. The two persons attacking you immediately inside the entrance are both armed with a cutlass and dagger, employing both weapons on the attack. They are dressed in ragged, torn and bloody clothes, and are dressed like sailors...with moldy fetid skin, a blank visage, and the smell of rotting flesh.

Hampered by the weight of her backpack, Celif continues towards the tower at a slower pace as several of her compatriots rush by her. She quickens her steps as best she can and, once closer to the tower, (MA to N8) sends forth another burst of holy energy.

Figuring area of effect in three dimensions is always "fun." :o) Story Master, anchoring from an upper front corner of the 5' square ("cube") Celif occupies, a 30' radius sphere will include opponent A on the roof (but not opponent B). I can draw out the details and upload the diagram if you need to verify that. The field will of course include both of the zomboids attacking Gezzo. Based on where it seems the murder holes must be, it would likely encompass those two shooters on the second floor as well (but I can't say for sure).

The skeleton warriors on the tower roof continue to launch arrows towards Celif:

Rudy runs so quickly through the tower entrance that the creatures inside don't have time to react! He attacks the creature at I-8, successfully grabbing it in his teeth and chomping down with his bite! The creature stumbles and falls prone!

I don't see a map update since the 28th, but I presume/it looks like I can get to Gezzo's current location in a move action.

Seeing Gezzo slumped unconscious in his saddle, Celif rushes over and taps him with a wand.

True, but she's burning through Channel Energies like mad, and if I drain her spell slots too she'll be useless... and we don't know what else is going to come down on us "right now." Using the wand leaves all her offensive/defensive/healing options intact. Plus I figured the minimum possible heal from the wand would at least bring him up to zero -- stabilized and conscious, if disabled.

OTOH I have very little experience running a healer and zero with clerics, so... noted! :o)

Nastrod moves into the tower, provoking an attack of opportunity from the undead creature 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 but is misses with both cutlass and dagger!

Nastrod whirls and brings his flaming weapon down on the head of the nasty thing...and the blade smashes it, carving the thing in two with one mighty stroke! The second enemy in the entrance is destroyed.

The ground floor of the tower is bare of furnishings or other large debris. The entranceway and flooring have dirt, sand and bits of plant debris scattered about, with a path of footprints and scuff marks evident leading to the stairway on the western wall. In the central part of the tower, a crumpled tricorn hat spattered with dried bloodstains is pinned to a crack in the wall by a dagger.

As you go up the stairway you can see four skeleton warriors straddling a wooden frame. They are staring down the murder holes waiting to attack below.The main feature on this tower floor is the remnant of the hoist mechanism formerly used to raise and lower the missing portcullises. A length of stout iron chain from each hoist windlass runs over a pulley attached to the ceiling, ending with a large iron hook. Sections of this level are walled off to enclose rooms, which are each secured by wooden doors.

Gezzo's head rolls to a somewhat upright position after the healing effects of Celif's magic wash over him. Taking Gezzo's regaining of consciousness as a queue, Lryhla bolts for the last place of safety.

Lryhla moves to T6.

Once out of the view of the undead archers, Gezzo mumbles a foreign incantation hoping to bring more relief to his beaten body.
