The Giant's Might

Game Master Yukom

On a volcanic castle in the heart of the Kodar Mountains, a fierce giant king brings forth his ultimate ambition-to rule all of the Inner Sea region under his iron fist. Your mission is to infiltrate his army, discover his armada's base, and slay the giant king before he slays freedom itself!

Scarab Sages

Ya this is another campaign I'm doing. It's similar in rules to "Roar of Rovagug", but it has a few different rules.

I'd like to submit Desmond Areos. You can find his character sheet Here. I haven't written a background yet but it will be up soon.

Scarab Sages

Of course. I'll set up the Gameplay thread, & just post your character's stats & info there.

I see. I'll have to remake the old alias, but I still have the old stats and backstory thankfully.

Also I was hoping to expand a bit on my character's background a bit. Is there anything you can tell me about the setting at this point?

All I can say about the setting is that it's a story about the heroes trying to overthrow a tyrant.

Character creation rules? Starting wealth? Traits? Well here is a pretty standard character, he's still under construction

I have an interesting character concept. Screw the old 'sword and board' tank paladin. He does about 0 damage if they're not evil and is so unkillable he's ignored anyways. I propose Roran Strax, a man thrust into the care of savage orcs when he was little and raised as a barbarian. Growing up in such a world made him strong, however being a human in a world of orcs, half orcs, and ogres left him as a very good talker compared to his peers, and he is ruggedly handsome. As a noblewoman and her paladin bodyguard were traveling through their woods, Roran sprung them in an attempt to rob them. However, he found his vicious attack style couldn't do a thing to the stalwart paladin, who calmly fended off his worst blows and left continuous bruisers in return. Finally Roran gave up, and the paladin pitied him and his situation. Once Roran realized he was an oddity and didn't belong in the wilderness, he went with the two and was taught of the world, where he was accepted into the church as an initiate. After many long years, he emerged as a proud, if rugged, paladin. Roran has a simple approach to the world, a deep throated laugh, and an easy smile that makes others want to forget their worries, sit down with a beer, and tell stories through the night. Even though most other holy warriors offer a stalwart defense of those who need protection, Roran carries an enormous greatsword with the idea that "evil can't hurt you if I killed it first"

Hardly have a crunch up yet, just the character concept, but it will be a Paladin that fights like a barbarian. High strength, crit and power attack focused, not doing quite as much damage as a savage barbarian but being quite a bit harder to kill than them.

FYI, the GM has the character creation guidelines on the 'Campaign Info' tab.

thank you!

Is it cool if I change some stuff about my old character to make him a Fighter with the "Two Weapon Warrior" archetype instead?

Also since we are so close to Belzken, would orcs be a playable race?

Scarab Sages

Yes you can change your character to a Two Weapon Warrior. However, orcs are not allowed to be a playable race

I submit Marco Andrezi, male Rogue Thug, for consideration.

If it would be Ok my brother and I are looking for a game to join together this one seems pretty interesting are you looking for any kind of party make up like only one fighter etc?

Scarab Sages

@Marco Andrezi: Ok, go on ahead and put his stats in the gamplay thread.

@tdunn1989: If you're asking if you & your brother can play one character then that's fine by me, as long as that character qualifies for the rules of character creation.

Oh I mean he would submit one and so would I

@Vyranos, any comment on Roran?

I would like to submit Heldar - Dual Cursed Life Oracle - and also inquire if the usage of his archetypes would be acceptable.

His background was geared to Golarion, but I believe it can be easily adapted to another setting - crunch wise he is still missing two traits, which I inted to add.

In terms of mechanics and his role in the group, Heldar is in essence a full support/healer.

Scarab Sages

@tdunn1989: I attend to have only 5 characters, & besides the two that are already signed up, another one will sign up eventually. But I suppose you two could sign up, & I could also consider increasing the number of players. So yes go on and sign up

@Roran Strax: Well, it's an interesting character concept, so it's fine by me. Just post the character's stats & bio on the Gameplay thread

@Heldar: The rules say that archtypes are allowed as long as you ask me for permission first, & if I approve of them. In this case, I do believe a Dual-Cursed Oracle would be interesting, so I just need his stats & bio on the Gameplay thread.
