That changed the year after, when a famous dwarf miner named Cedrav Goldtracker discovered a mine in the base of the nearby Kodar Mountains that was-quite literally-filled with platinum. With this, the townspeople traded the platinum for many items of desire, and in time, the security force was increased, and the academy that they were only dreaming of became a reality. However, a present danger makes it clear to the locals every night, whose roars signal their arrival...

Sorcerer/2| AC13(17) | HP 12/12

My character probably doesn't know this of course but Orcs have light sensitivity. Are we in bright sunlight?

Scarab Sages

Male Half-Elf Wizard (Evoker) 1

...Just remembered that. For the sake of it, let's pretend that it's nighttime.

Sorcerer/2| AC13(17) | HP 12/12

or cloudy if you prefer :-)

Male Human Fighter 6

I thought light sensitivity only effected them on the round they were exposed to bright light. Their pupils have a hard time dilating, but they do

Sorcerer/2| AC13(17) | HP 12/12

Pretty much. Even if it's overcast they would be all right. My character can cast daylight as a spell like ability but since he has no way of knowing about their light sensitivity, it wouldn't make much sense for him to do so.

Roran would know. He grew up with them

Sorcerer/2| AC13(17) | HP 12/12

It's up to the GM but it normally is a dc20 knowledge local check. I don't want to meta game so I was thinking it would make sense for Desmond to figure it out after the fight in conversation. Unless it's nighttime then it would make sense to cast it.

I'm finding out which Level-Up system will work best for this campaign. Once I find out which one is good, I'll post it on this thread and the Campaign Info.

Scarab Sages

Male Half-Elf Wizard (Evoker) 1

Ok...scratch XP. I'm just gonna tell you guys when you'll level up (like when you defeat a boss or something similar).

I might be a little slow on posting for the next few months, my wife is pregnant with our 4th child due in October and this one is giving her a run for her money. We've already had multiple hospital visits and it's not looking like there going to end soon. Do to this I've had to take a few sick days from work to play Mr. Mom to our other 3 which leave little time for posting. If I have not posted for over a day and you would like to move the story along I give Vyranos my permission to post on my behalf.

Male Human Fighter 6

Oh man, well best of luck!

Scarab Sages

Male Half-Elf Wizard (Evoker) 1

Well, Alyara, I don't think I will be able to play your character...but here's what I'll do-if you haven't posted for over a day we will move on without you...but when you do post, I will give you some boost ups (i.e., when everyone is at level 2, you will be boosted to level 2).

Or if you just want to quit this PbP, just PM me and we will move on.

Also, best of luck to you and your wife!

Question regarding pace: Is the expected GM posting to be weekly?

Please mind you, it is simply a question and nothing more :D

Scarab Sages

Male Half-Elf Wizard (Evoker) 1

Well, with college in the way, I'm definately gonna be limited on when I can post. It will be at least once a week-make no mistake about that.

Hello everyone.

I wanted to offer my apologies, but I am bowing out of this one - there are two main reasons: I am trying to make space in my PbPs to run my own, and am currently participating in too many of them already; the second one relates to pace, and my personal preference - the posting and plot advancement are sparse, which actually does not allow me to relate, or get involved with the story or character.

Thank you for having taken me on board Vyranos.

Scarab Sages

Male Half-Elf Wizard (Evoker) 1

No problem. Best of luck to you Heldar.

Male Human Rogue Assassin (Criminal) 6, HP: 37/37, AC: 19 (20-duel wielder)(20-SS Quick); Saves: Dex +7, Int +6; Perception: +6; Initiative: +4

I am out of town on business the next two days. Please feel free to DMPC me. Just sneak attack when you can!

Scarab Sages

Male Half-Elf Wizard (Evoker) 1

Okay then. Thanks for the heads up!

Level 2!

Male Human Rogue Assassin (Criminal) 6, HP: 37/37, AC: 19 (20-duel wielder)(20-SS Quick); Saves: Dex +7, Int +6; Perception: +6; Initiative: +4

How are we doing HP for next level?

Male Human Rogue Assassin (Criminal) 6, HP: 37/37, AC: 19 (20-duel wielder)(20-SS Quick); Saves: Dex +7, Int +6; Perception: +6; Initiative: +4

Marco is Level 2!

I have not done my HP because I do not know if we roll, take PFS number, take max, or some other convention?

Scarab Sages

Male Half-Elf Wizard (Evoker) 1

Marco: I think that since the Rogue class is your favored class, you should be able to take the max + your Constitution bonus + 1 hit point (if you chose a hit point over a skill point). At least, that's what I think-I do know that if your class isn't a favored class, you have to roll for the points.

Male Human Rogue Assassin (Criminal) 6, HP: 37/37, AC: 19 (20-duel wielder)(20-SS Quick); Saves: Dex +7, Int +6; Perception: +6; Initiative: +4

Thanks, but I am all set on the mechanics. I just want to know the DM's call on how we are progressing with HP advancement - Roll, Max, or Average. It is the GM's call. I went back through the character creation threads, and I could not find anything, other than taking Max at 1st Level, which is pretty standard.

Scarab Sages

Male Half-Elf Wizard (Evoker) 1

Well then, if it's the GM's call, I say that you should just take the max at first level, but roll for more HP every time you level up.

Sorcerer/2| AC13(17) | HP 12/12

hit points: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Nice

Male Half-Elf Wizard (Evoker) 1

Here are the deities and new weapon

Ragoren (aka, the Immortal Giant) Domains: Chaos, Destruction, Earth, Evil, and War. Alignment: Chaotic Evil. Portfolio: Black Ogre-like, with red flaming eyes; God of enslavement, giants, and devastation. In the Kodar Mountains, the orcs and ogres tell of an all-mighty ogre-like god with the strength to shatter continents. His name, Ragoren, comes from the Giant word rago, "king", and ren, "earth/world"; his name literally translates in Giant to "king of earth/king of the world". The evil giants, like ogres, trolls, and fire giants, worship him like a war hero, praying that he will return to flatten the smaller races; orcs also worship him as a symbol of power and intimidation. Good giants, however, view him as a curse, or (to frost, rune, and taiga giants) as a hoax. In a climatic battle between him and Vearnikar (see below), he was outcast to the realm of the Old Gods. His favored weapon is the great sword.

Taevina (aka, Shelyn's Advisor) Domains: Air, Community, Good, Knowledge, and Nobility. Alignment: Neutral Good. Portfolio: phoenix-like goddess, golden colored; Goddess of information, messages, and communication. To some of the churches of Shelyn, the clerics say that she has a companion, named Taevina (Celestial for "the messenger"), who flies throughout the afterlife, and to other gods, to send messages and receive information. Her favored weapon is the short bow.

Vearnikar (aka, the Holy Dragon) Domains: Animal, Fire, Good, Law, and Rune. Alignment: Lawful Good. Portfolio: snow-white dragon w/ humanoid-like posture; God of life, trust, and valor. One of the least known of all gods (besides the Peacock Deity), Vearnikar (a combination of Celestial and Draconic; translates as "the savior" and "the hero") was said to be the offspring of a gold dragon and a silver dragon; in life, he traveled across all of Golarion, smiting the evil and saving the innocent. However, he was slain when banishing the evil warlord god Ragoren; Aroden, seeing on how powerful the spirit of this dragon, made the dragon into a humanoid-like god. Thus, Vearnikar was the last creature to be turned into a god before Aroden's death. His favored weapon is the dragon's scythe (see below).

I also have a new weapon.

Name: Dragon's Scythe
Description: A pick with three spikes sticking out of one side.
Cost: 35 gp
Dmg (S): 1d6
Dmg (M): 1d8
Type: One-handed Exotic Weapon
Critical: x3
Weight: 15 lbs (7 for Small characters)
Dmg Type: Slashing

I hate to say this but...

This campaign is now closed.

I am moving to a place without internet for a while (how long I don't know), so I have to close this down.

Man, he forgot to mark the campaign as inactive...is there any way to get it off my campaign tabs?

Grand Lodge

I wish I knew as well, I have a couple campaigns I wish I could make inactive.
