Thanks, it was actually below average damage though (I think average when I hit that way is 22.5). I just really like the idea that in game many of the other characters probably assumed I was some kind of caster (since I've used obscuring mist and gust of wind) and then I do that, lol.

the Dragon Between |

A fight with the Otyugh was diffused through skills. A fight with the warforged in the sewer was prevented a few rounds ago by Taryn!

Carduus the Bemourned |

Carduus will continue delaying until he has an opportunity to advance within channeling range of Beylinda.

the Dragon Between |

I am starting to fade here. As the boards were down for almost a full day, I'll give Beylinda a bit more time to post before I BOT her tomorrow.

the Dragon Between |

Great job guys!
That was a complex combat to run through on a PbP especially with two groups combined. The rest of the complex will not have such narrow confines though
I think we may have lost Dharakk as I have not seen him post in some time anywhere. Finally, we can move on after a bit of RP with the Otyugh.
The half-orcs loss though does lead me to my next question, does someone from Table I want to join Table II once this story arc is over as Table II is now down to 3 players while Table I still has 6?
Table I will be leaving Sharn while Table II will be adventuring in Sharn for some time.

Carduus the Bemourned |

We at Table II include an oracle of life, a bloodrager, and a blade adept arcanist. I don't really know what a blade adept arcanist is, but I'm guessing that she's kind of like a magus; so I'm guessing we have melee covered, we definitely have healing covered, as well as possibly some utility magic, unless I'm totally wrong about Beylinda's capabilities. We've also got social skills covered, as all of us have ranks in at least one such skill (Taryn & Beylinda both have Bluff and Diplomacy, Carduus has Intimidate and Sense Motive.)
In Rission we lost our ranged combatant, in Dharakk we lost our disable device capability, in Haqueton/H4RP00N we lost our stealthy backstabber, and in Liberte' we lost a psychic monk (I admit I'm also ignorant of what psychic powers are capable of.) So maybe a ranged combatant, a person of roguey skills, or a dedicated arcane caster? Or we can just see if any characters mesh in RP.

Beylinda Chumana |

Not really it is just a watered down magus. What makes the magus such a good arcane melee is spell combat (the ability to cast + make melee attack) + 3/4 bab
The blade adept is just a full arcane archetype (9th level spells) that can use a melee weapon (to deliver touch spell for example) but it is still a 1/2 Bab.
So beylinda can defend herself (with pretty good damage for a Level 1 Magic User as long as she has spells [she did 28 pts in two shots], i might say...) if it comes to melee but she is not a melee centric character

Taryn d'Lyrandar |

Yeah- we have a melee, a full arcane, and a full divine... honestly, the thing we could use the most is a regular poster (Dharakk was, I think, our most frequent poster until he disappeared).

the Dragon Between |

Been sick as hell. Updates tomorrow. If you witched to a new group keep the same character. :-)
If you all want to stick on table I I can easily recruit 1 or 2 more for table II.

the Dragon Between |

Table I has all 6 players (only one was lost very early on) still intact.
Table II is down to 3.
Now I could recruit but I thought a more organic way of increasing Table II was to have 1 person from Table I shift over post this first story arc.
Not a requirement just a suggestion.
I am going to try an update tonight but still not 100 % yet so of i don't bear with me :-)

Gauntlet of Sharn |

I'm thinking Gauntlet could change groups...he's no specialist at anything, is a secondary Arcane caster, Decent melee, Can take hits and keep going...and he has disable device.
This would mean he would stay in Sharn then, which he's also most comfortable with anyway...
Does that make sense?
Does that hurt table I any?

Gauntlet of Sharn |

I'll go with any actual consensus.
If my original group wants to keep me, or someone else chooses to jump ship and the other group doesn't care, I'll stick it out and the GM can recruit another person or two for the other table if needed.
If the other group wants me, and the original group does not protest too much, I'll switch.
Fair?

the Dragon Between |

Agreed, Table I has good RP chemistry. I will begin to Recruit for Table II. I think 2 replacements will be fine. IN the meantime now that I am almost feeling better again I will move us forward tonight. The rest of my games will have to wait till tomorrow for updates.

Taryn d'Lyrandar |

Apologies- my posting is going to be spotty (at best) for the next few days due to a death in the family (my wife's grandfather). Please feel free to bot me as necessary.

the Dragon Between |

OK. Finally the group has accessed the hatch now it's just as easy as climbing down and getting what you came for right? :-)

the Dragon Between |

Long week at work including today. I will update either early in the morning or in the evening tomorrow. But tomorrow for sure. The long hours were good though as I am now caught up and can actually start to post regularly again. To say the least I did not realize how backed up I was at work till I returned to the office!

Erix d'Orien |

No worries Shadow!
I will say though, its been kinda tough for me to stay invested in this game since the merger of the two groups. There's so many people, it's hard to feel relevant. Especially since Erix doesn't bring anything special(casting, tank, disable traps, etc) to the table.

The fight in the stairway was a tough session if you were not about to die during it! I thought perhaps the Otyugh encounter would turn into a fight but you all diffused that one pretty quick. Don't worry, the rest of the arc will have you all able to act if necessary. I'll be updating that tonight.

Storyteller Shadow |

So, anyone have Knowledge Nature?
I'll give 1 more day for people to respond then I'll move us forward.

the Dragon Between |

FYI, I restocked Table II with 3 instead of two players. This is because I want the two tables to have a balanced amount of players for reasons that are lost somewhere in the depths of my own mad brain...

the Dragon Between |

The dice roller has been f&&~ing brutal to PCs this week. I suck as a PC but this week I really sucked, I think I had two or three successful rolls all week!

the Dragon Between |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

I have Table II's other players moving forward. You will all converge once we finish this arc. It is actually not that far from being over :-)

the Dragon Between |

Is anybody else having the issue of not being able to see Carduus' last post on the new page??
Yes actually. I will address it tomorrow :-)

Carduus the Bemourned |

The whole frickin' world's against me, dude, I swear to god!

I have had the same year...
