OK, geez, this could be a major can of worms. So here's what happened and why:
Waaay back before I came to Flaxseed and I still had a live group to play with, my Witch whom I'm sure you all know and revere had embarked upon a 2-parter adventure ("Wonders In The Weave") - trouble was, I realized in the nick of time that if I did part II, I'd miss out on the all-important opportunity to play "The Sanos Abduction" to earn him a certain Improved Familiar whom I'm sure you all know and revere (I'd initially played that with my Summoner, talk about the wrong Boon for the wrong character, but no problem, I'd been wanting to DM, and that was my first time!) - SO, we halted the "Wonders" arc and I ran "The Sanos Abduction" just in time for him to hit 7th level. We never did finish the other arc, though...
...fast-forward to that group dissolving and my coming here: Someone else was running, or proposing to run, the "Wonders" arc, which of course I'd never completed and wanted the full Boon for (without knowing exactly what it was). I seem to recall being under the impression that I couldn't get it unless the two parts were played consecutively, SO I DM'd Part I and stepped in as a player for Part II.
Vladek is now my highest-level character, at precisely 42 XP/freshly-level 15. If he has to lose that one deeply-buried Chronicle...what happens???
| kaervek78 |
So you put the second (DM'd) chronicle of Part I on the same character, right? I think you need to shift it to another character.
One possibility is to level Vladek down to level 14.
Alternatively, if you have another appropriate DM chronicle (same Tier / Subtier) waiting to be assigned, you could put that on Vladek (=exchange it for the doubled chronicle) before you play him again.
And if you don't have such a chronicle available, you simply must DM another appropriate game a.s.a.p. - and invite me as a player because you are grateful for my very wise advice... :-P ;-)

IHiYC, please reach out to one of us (the PbP VO team) for help. Chronicle repair like this is best done with such help.
By the strictest interpretation of the rules, that chronicle sheet would simply become invalid, as would any other chronicle sheets that couldn't apply because the character was under leveled. It would quickly become quite a mess. In cases like this where a mistake was made, we can help find the best way to fix the problem.

Well that's...effectively what I'm presently doing; you've got me a little confused.

Here's also the LINK to a relevant post in the official Announcement thread of GAMEDAY XIV.
If you don't get your boon in the next few days, ask about it there.

Hey! Now that Gameday ended, I had won a boon by rolling a 20. Where do I go for it?
Hey! Are you interested in playing a PFS adventure for 1st/2nd level characters?
I am recruiting for the game Heroes for Highdelve (Tier 1-2) .
If you are interested, please click the link and provide your details in the recruitment thread.

Boons is mostly (maybe always?) a convention thing (which GameDays are) and requires coordination with the Paizo staff. Note that for conventions if you GM they will also give you the scenario you are running for free. Nice, huh! So, yes, Paizo still supports 1e games in that way.
If you are running a PFS game independently then you may not award boons.

Where do I report issues with RPGChronicles? Out of tier gold is showing up as 8.56 gold pieces when it should be over 1000 gp.
It's the sheets for 8-06 Reaping what we Sow.
There's an "email us" link at the bottom of the RPGChronicles page.

Anyone else notice that the search-bars for our threads don't seem to be working at all? What's up with that?
| kaervek78 |
Yeah, the search function not ...well, functioning is really not helpful.
However, what you can use is the search function of your browser (CTRL+F on a PC).
And if you remember which alias posted the text you're searching for, you can list their posts in their profile and do this search there.
I know it's not the same, but it might help a bit.

Search still works for posts more than about two years old, but I've had that issue for a while.
How peculiar; well, that provides some clue to what's happening....

Good day all. Reintroductions and apologies are in order.
I had disappeared 2 years back, I had moved to a different country, my marriage broke down, and I was just alone and lost for a long time without motivation. I lost all my pathfinder hardcopy materials as well. It's been about a year since my divorced and I am slowly picking back pieces, I've moved to Melbourne 4 months ago, just bought a digital copy of the new player core, and hoping to re-join and get a game or two in, and eventually pick up GMing again.
If anyone has room for a lowly level 1 character please let me know!

ANNOUNCEMENT
I have opened up the Outpost IX Event Listing sheet so that GMs can start adding their game details in, such as start dates and server/channel info. This is especially useful for GMs running GM Choice recruitment so you can advertise your recruitment channels now.
Remember, you can advertise your recruitment, but may not seat players until the GM and General Seating dates.

In any case, I see I'm already in there, good!
This'll be a perfect fit for that dilemma I was talking about up-page with Vladek Odradek, BTW...
...and sure! Kaervek78, my game is nominally FCFS, but you may have priority-seating in it if you want it!

Suppose I should give Discord another try, since the forums are getting a smaller and smaller percentage of games.
(I've done PBD before, and while I wouldn't say it was a bad experience, since that would imply something went wrong, I've enjoyed games here a lot more.)

Do that, and you'll be catalyzing the shift.
For what it's worth, please consider me a vote against (I can't use Discord due to having gotten myself into some kind of weird Gordian-Knot/Catch-22 situation).

I would like to make a suggestion regarding running Bonekeep through play-by-post.
Currently, the rules state:
As of 4/8/22, the Bonekeep specials may be run as part of Play-by-post events, subject to the same rules as any other convention. To account for the play-by-post nature of the event, GMs should only run their players through up to half of the encounters, either chosen by the GM at the start or decided based on their players’ actions. Players can only earn up to half of the maximum gold on the chronicle sheet.
After running and playing the Bonekeep scenarios both in person and through play-by-post several times, I would like to suggest the following changes:
At conventions, and according to the scenario, players are given five hours to complete the adventure.
Instead of limiting play-by-post games to only half of the rooms, I propose running six rooms and awarding 75% of the maximum gold, rather than just half.
If the PCS are limited to only half the rooms, there is only one single route they can take to the final room/encounter. And that would be very rare. Opening it up to six rooms gives the PCS a better chance to make it to the final encounter.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!

And some of the floors cannot be finished...
I doubt given this is PFS1 that this will be changed though. It was only relatively recently that they even opened Bonekeep up to PBP play.
