ok so I'll go first....
• How do you feel about the tempo of the game?
Well, sometimes I just want more posts, but then I have a busy few days at work and realise I am the one holding things up and then I realise others have lives too and I'm just being impatient when it suits me. So overall its probably ok for me. But this is my first PBP.
• What are some of the things (if any) that you're really enjoying about this campaign that you would like to see continue?
The maps make thing super easy and I am a visual guy more than a an imaginative one so it helps a lot.
• What's missing, i.e. what would you like to see more of?
Maybe to early to tell? We've had a mix of things in such a short time. Battle, traps, conversation and negotiation.
• What can I do to make the game more enjoyable for you?
I'm linking the way it is. I think its good having a discussion about rules so that its clear and transparent but also logical. No point having rules if they don't make sense just to have rules. They need to make logical sense to enjoy them.
My amateur 2 cents worth :)

Im with Beerg on this. The pace seems fine with me, but probably more than him im the one lightnon posting.. Its just been busy for me lately.
Not to lump the rest of the questions, but im really not having any issues with your GM work. Pbp can be difficult to keep moving and so far that has not been an issue at all. Very nice job so far!

This is a very nice game, imo. No real complaints here.
1.
The tempo is actually pretty fast for pbp. It doesnt get much faster than this unless you chance on a group that does like 5 posts each everyday.
2.
I like the Jack character and want to see more tomfoolery. Maybe back in town we can get into some antics.
3.
I'm hoping there's some more plot/NPC interaction available once we get back in town. But that's not a complaint, Im fine with the quest as it is.
4.
Nothing coming to mind, like I said I think this is a very nice game.

Well, thanks for all the positive feedback folks. I'm really happy to take on constructive criticism too, though, so consider all those to be open questions from now on - if there's anything you feel that's lacking, or that you think I can do differently to improve the game, just post it up here or in a PM if you prefer.
For my part, I'm having a great time with you all - this, and its sister campaign, are my first crack at GMing pbps, and it's great to have such a fun, creative, and engaged group of players.
Alright, enough with the backslapping, time to get back to plotting your deaths facilitating your interactions with this fantasy world.

Oh sorry, late to this conversation.
I think it’s going well. As mentioned we really haven’t been able to explore our characters a whole lot and the module is a bit 2nd edition-ee lol but those are my only laments. I’m really enjoying the interaction and characters so far and the pace is solid.
Overall I’m with the others. So far so good.

Greycastle |

I think early levels it’s not bad and will probably never be a problem for us but at higher levels when the Paladin has many more spell slots and is able to use more and more dice for smite it can be a bit OP.

Beerg |

OK, just back here guys, sorry im inundated at uni at the moment. I took GWFS based on being able to re roll on Smite. But, im always open to other views and if you feel its a bit OP then lets not. Im here for the story not the smashing. ;)

GM Hewy |

I've just tallied up the saleable loot at this stage (doesn't include the orcs' filthy hide armour - nobody wants that - nor the drow poison, as I assumed you may want to keep it and use it). We'll round up to 73 gp each at this stage. Not heaps, but keep in mind a gp is worth about $100, so that's roughly the equivalent of over 7K each.
So spend it up as you like. Post up here on the discussion what you want to buy - between the stores available at the Twisted Tower, and Nilelane out in the town, you can pretty much get whatever non-magical gear you like. Healing potions will be negotiated through roleplaying, at this stage by Nilelane at one of the temples. Same with scrolls or spells in the spellbook (although you have to catch Elminster first).
Oh, and amended the bolts on the loot page to note that they're poisoned. You may want those Jack :)

Sorin Greystone |

Speaking of which. Possibly a vial of Antitoxin would be a good purchase for Sorin as well as a healing potion. I have 5 gold additional funds to put into the money we have.

Beerg |

im on that bandwagon too, would like to upgrade my chain to full chain before we go back in?

Beerg |

GMHewy, given the change of mind on GWFS, can i change the skill to the +1 AC instead? initially looked promising even though i have already forgotten to use it. With it being physical only, coupled with my memory i feel i may barely make use of it at all. I'd rather a passive skill thats always in effect? It's a random skill i believe i'll struggle to remember at best as its post action.

Beerg |

or even potentially protection which could be handy for fights. If youd be happy for me to re pick?

Beerg |

Cheers GMHewy. Think I'll just go with +1 AC instead. That way its easy and no having to remember.
re: purchases 88G currently, Selling and I'll assume 1/4 unless you state otherwise:
Chain Shirt 12.5G
Greatsword 12.5G
Halberd 5G
Purchasing if possible:
Full Chain 75G
Warhammer 15G
Shield 10G
remaining 18G

Beerg |

actually scratch that. I have just realised I have chain mail and not a chain shirt. Its my starting armour. make that a HP if possible :)

Sorry for the slight slow down folks, I've been really ill for nearly two weeks now, without life responding appropriately and slowing down for me. Still dealing with it, and ordering my thoughts to post properly hasn't been easy this week. But never fear, the weekend is here, so I'll get the ball rolling properly again, as of the next couple of hours.
Also, I'm looking forward to you all getting to level 3, so let's make that happen sooner rather than later :)

I like the sound of third level. Hope your feeling better.

GM Hewy |

I hope no one feels that I broke the rules there, or went easy on Jack... To be fair, he rolled so poorly, and got rolled against pretty well, but also there's no way I'm letting someone die from a double fail on a death save without letting them use their inspiration. If Jack had rolled two fails just now instead of two successes, it would have been bye bye Jack.
I'm not sure why I'm defending myself, but I guess I don't want you all to think that if you're about to die I'm going to somehow finagle it so you don't :)
Want to tell them what nearly did you in, Jack...?
