Abilities

Sneak Attack (+2d6): Beginning at 1st level, you know how to strike subtly and exploit a foe's distraction. Once per turn, you can deal an extra 1d6 damage to one creature you hit with an attack if you have advantage on the attack roll. The attack must use a finesse or a ranged weapon. You don't need advantage on the attack roll if another enemy of the target is within 5 feet of it, that enemy isn't incapacitated, and you don't have disadvantage on the attack roll. The amount of the extra damage increases as you gain levels in this class, as shown in the Sneak Attack column of the Rogue table.

Feat-Burgler: You pride yourself on your quickness and your close study of certain clandestine activities. You gain the following benefits:
• Increase your Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
• You gain proficiency with thieves’ tools. If you are already proficient with them, you add double your proficiency bonus to checks you make with them.

Cunning Action: You can take a bonus action on each of your turns to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action.

Archtype: Assassin

Bonus Proficiencies: You gain proficiency with the disguise kit and the poisoner’s kit.

Assassinate: You have advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn’t taken a turn in the combat yet, and any hit you score against a creature that is surprised is a critical hit.

them for a bonus skill proficiency and a bonus feat. Check with your
DM before taking this variant.

Appearance and History:

Jack was the unwanted son of a courtesan and an unknown client. He grew up among the whores and magsmen in the city slums. He quickly learned to shift for himself, being on his own at the age of 6. Fearing the roving gangs, he became a solitary criminal, usually using the ‘snatch and grab’ techniques of an urchin, but also commanding incredible raw agility and manual dexterity that soon brought him to the attention of a local pickpocket and burglar, Thom the Gegor. Thom was a fixture of the slums, being a successful beggar and cracksman, he taught the young Jack as much as he could, hoping the lad would be able to care for him in his declining years.
Jack stayed with the aged Thom for several seasons, learning all he could about the rogue’s skills. Thom taught him never to prey on those weaker or worse off than himself, as these people had a tough enough life without someone nicking what little they had. He directed his protégé to take from only those who could afford the loss, whenever possible. He instilled in the young man a sense of ‘honor among thieves’ and kept him away from the more ‘chaotic’ members of the brotherhood.
It was just last spring that Jack returned to the small room he and Thom shared to find the old thief dead, the victim of a vicious break and enter. For weeks Jack scoured the slums looking for those who were responsible, but only discovered a single name…Falco. Whether this was one of the villain’s names, or something else, he could not discover. He needed to place his revenge on hold, as the need for work to feed and care for himself became more and more necessary.
