Love the 15 pt buy! I will try and put something together for your consideration.

But now I feel bad/ashamed for not directly inviting you guys to my Iron Gods game.

Male CG Elf Magus 2 | HP: 9/15| AC: 16 (14 Tch, 11 Fl)| CMD: 14 | F: +4, R: +6, W: +2| Init: +4 | Perc:-1, SM:-1 | Speed 30ft | Arcane Pool 4/4 | Spells: 1st 1/2|Active conditions: None.

I'll probably pop by with a character as well!

Male Elf Fighter (Mutation Warrior) 2 | HP 22/22 | AC 21, T 13, FF 18 | F +4, R +4, W +1 | Init +7 | Perception +7

I've got the crunch and basic background done for a Human Fighter. Lawful Neutral, over time he will slip to lawful evil, likely just as a result of how he handles things. He's a Hellknight Aspirant, so I definitely want to prestige into Hellknight Commander from 6 to 15 most likely

Luckily in that particular campaign it is not difficult to meet the additional pre-reqs for any Hellknight PrC (I'm looking at you book 2).

Male Elf Wizard 3, HP 18/18, AC 13 Touch 12 FF 11, Fort +2 Ref +3 Will +4, CMB +2 CMD 12, Init +11, Perception +9 |
Prepared Spells:
Detect Magic, Read Magic, Daze, Color Spray x2, Gravity Bow, Web Bolt, Invisibility, Summon Monster II

Yeah that's the sense I'm getting! Hellknight isn't too bad a PrC as those go either

I'll be travelling most of tomorrow, so I won't be able to post quickly, but I'll get something up.

What's our next move? Are we going to assault the hideout or look for other leads first?

Sleep would probably be a good idea. You'll all be fatigued if you keep going without rest, you've been up at least half the night.

Male Elf Wizard 3, HP 18/18, AC 13 Touch 12 FF 11, Fort +2 Ref +3 Will +4, CMB +2 CMD 12, Init +11, Perception +9 |
Prepared Spells:
Detect Magic, Read Magic, Daze, Color Spray x2, Gravity Bow, Web Bolt, Invisibility, Summon Monster II

I'm for sleep then hideout. It'll let me change my spell loadout too

Do you guys know how to remove an alias from the player list? I accidentally posted with a different alias once or twice and now its showing up here.

Male CG elf fighter (lore warden) 2 | HP: 18/20 | AC: 19 (15 Tch, 14 Fl) | CMB: +4, CMD: 19 | F: +4, R: +4, W: +0 | Init: +4 | Perc: +11, SM +0 | Speed 30ft | Stamina 3/3| Active conditions: None.

The GM needs to enter the campaign settings and remove the incorrect alias as a current player.

Fixed

Ah, thanks much.

Hey I was starting to plan level 2 and had a question. Can I buy a rank in a background skill one level, then use a normal class point to buy a rank the next? Or is it, once background skills are selected, only background skill points can be used on them? The rules say background skill points must be spent on background skills, but don't say if normal skill points can be used on background skills.

Sorry haven't used BG skills before. If thats the case I guess I need to label my BG skills to keep track of them.

edit: nevermind, found the answer "Characters can expend their regular skill ranks on background skills if they desire"

Ah drat, just realized I made a mistake on my char sheet...k(engineering) shouldn't have had that class bonus. I probably thought selecting a background skill added it to class list for some stupid reason.

That could be a really cool scene repelling down into the burned out ruins...each carrying one of Olivio's spore things before blitzkrieging ranged weapons...

..or not. Heh ok scratch that, impossible to do while blind

Not necessarily...

Ah right, I always forget gnomes do the impossible

Male CG elf fighter (lore warden) 2 | HP: 18/20 | AC: 19 (15 Tch, 14 Fl) | CMB: +4, CMD: 19 | F: +4, R: +4, W: +0 | Init: +4 | Perc: +11, SM +0 | Speed 30ft | Stamina 3/3| Active conditions: None.

Hey guys, just to let you know, I've started a recruitment for Reign of Winter if any of you are interested!

Travel today, don't expect quick posts.

Excuse my lack of posting the next few days, I'm in the middle of moving and will return as soon as I am able.

Male Human Alchemist (HP 16/18 | AC:14(18) | T:12(14) | FF:12(14) | Fort:+5 | Ref:+5(+7) | Will:-1(-2)
Status:
Init: +2(+4) Perception: +4 Bombs: 2/6 Conditions:

Excuse me for butting in here folks but have any of you heard anything from ElegantlyWasted (Maeglin Starcaller) recently? He just stopped posting about 2 weeks ago and I'm wondering if anyone here knows him IRL and can confirm that he's ok?

Sorry to say, no. Hopefully it is just something technical.

Yeah, we haven't seen him around for a while now.

Dang, too bad about Maeg. Could use some arcane support about now...look at all the useful spells he had prepped XD

Hmm, question if I had moved along side Cal and attacked the one at max-5, would I have gotten sneak attack from flank with Dewdrop even though Dewdrop is grappled? Does grappled condition remove the flanking possibility?

No grapple does not remove flanking possibilities.

Guys, we are probably still a ways away from it, but with Maeglin seemingly gone I was thinking of multi-classing to wizard next level and eventually perhaps arcane trickster. I'd pick up some utility spells/battlefield manipulation type stuff that might complement Any and give me more of a combat role. What do you think

Male Elf Druid/Barbarian 4/2 Init +2/ HP 61/63 // AC: 15/T:12/FF:14 - // F +8/R +3/W +7 /CMB +8 - CMD 19/ Speed 40'
skills:
Perception+12 Stealth+3 Sensemotive+2

It would give us some arcane which is good, and well arcane tricksters are always fun

Or I don't know, if I were to do that I'd stick with spells where DC didn't matter that much, and in that case could probably accomplish the same with UMD provided we can find/buy stuff somewhat regular.

I'll be going overseas for 3 weeks come Friday and I have absolutely no idea whether or not I'll have internet access. So the game will take a break for a bit, but I promise I'll be back.

Oh, also, everyone leveled.

hps: Roll or half die plus one, whichever is better.

Cool, may I ask how many HD Ganamede had?

hp: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Going to stick it out as Unchained Rogue I think, I'm really enjoying the flank minigame with melee sneaks. If I can use wands to increase my mobility options and/or shape the field that would be some good stuff.

Nilelane levelup Summary:

+8 hp
+1 bab
+1 reflex
evasion
rogue talent: bleeding attack

----new skills
k(local) +1
UMD +2
Sleight of Hand +2
----upgraded skills
k(eng) +1
bluff +1
sm +1
stealth +1
acro +1
disd +1
perc +1

Male CG elf fighter (lore warden) 2 | HP: 18/20 | AC: 19 (15 Tch, 14 Fl) | CMB: +4, CMD: 19 | F: +4, R: +4, W: +0 | Init: +4 | Perc: +11, SM +0 | Speed 30ft | Stamina 3/3| Active conditions: None.

Have a good trip GM!

Also Cal, its like:
a)Cal advances and attacks target from 10 ft away.
b)Target 5 ft steps forward and full attacks Cal.
c)AoOs???
Getting AoO's seems hard; it would only seem to happen if they were farther away, and you would constantly need to be retreating so they have to move more than 5 ft to get to you? Or I am probably overlooking something obvious.

Male CG elf fighter (lore warden) 2 | HP: 18/20 | AC: 19 (15 Tch, 14 Fl) | CMB: +4, CMD: 19 | F: +4, R: +4, W: +0 | Init: +4 | Perc: +11, SM +0 | Speed 30ft | Stamina 3/3| Active conditions: None.

hp: 1d10 ⇒ 1 taking 6 then
+1 BAB, +1 CMB, +1 CMD, +1 stamina
+1 Fort
+ Dodge (bonus from fighter)
+ Combat Expertise (bonus from lore warden)
Skills +8 points (2 base, +2 Int, +2 Lore Warden, +2 background)
Adventure Skills:
+1 Acrobatics
+1 Diplomacy
+1 Knowledge (local)
+1 Knowledge (religion)
+1 Perception
+1 Swim
Background Skills:
+1 Handle Animal
+1 Knowledge (geography)

@Nilelane: The scenario you proposed is indeed true, but it is far from optimal since Callanniel needed to move in. When back in town, my intention is to grab a cestus so Cal can wait for the enemy to come, get an AoO, attack in close range with cestus and move away tumbling, repeating the process. Actually Cal's build is more like a late-bloomer since he'll be getting combat patrol in the future.

Also, when there are more enemies things get better since Cal will be able to threaten almost every single square around you all, making any movement a trigger for his AoOs.

Ah cool, sorry just trying to think how we can get organized. I wonder if Any and/or Dewdrop could fight defensive or total defense while you attack from 10 ft away behind completely free of risk? Just in the mean time some formation like:

CD
#ATN

Where T is the target creature?

Also another thing, I took the rogue talent Bleeding Attack to force spellcasters that have been sneaked to make a concentration check and to bypass DR. I could instead take "Slow Reactions". This makes any sneaked enemy unable to make AoOs for 1 round and would mean you could make combat maneuvers without improved X feats or provoking, what do you think?

Male Elf Druid/Barbarian 4/2 Init +2/ HP 61/63 // AC: 15/T:12/FF:14 - // F +8/R +3/W +7 /CMB +8 - CMD 19/ Speed 40'
skills:
Perception+12 Stealth+3 Sensemotive+2

Do you roll for animal companions HD or do the Auto half + con modifier? Ive seen it done both ways mostly just curious.

hp: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
dewdrop in case we roll: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

HP++7 (1/2+1+con+favored)
BAB +1
Fort +1, Will +1
Skills +5
+1 Climb for a total of +4
+1 to heal
+1 to knowledge nature
+1 perception
+1 Survival

Background Skills : Craft Weaponry +1, Handle Animal +1
Spells
0 level - 4 total
1st level - 2 + 1 wisdom bonus total

Druid skill - Woodland Stride (Ex)

Starting at 2nd level, a druid may move through any sort of undergrowth (such as natural thorns, briars, overgrown areas, and similar terrain) at their normal speed and without taking damage or suffering any other impairment. Thorns, briars, and overgrown areas that have been magically manipulated to impede motion, however, still affect them

DewDrop

HD 3
BAB +2
Will +1
Skill +1 - +1 perception
Feat - Power attack

To be honest Dewdrop will eventually be good at flanking and a little battlefield control with things like improved bull rush, improved over run etc, At least that was my plan for him.

ACs will be the same as everyone else. For reference Ganamede is a 4th level Barbarian.

Male CG Elf Magus 2 | HP: 9/15| AC: 16 (14 Tch, 11 Fl)| CMD: 14 | F: +4, R: +6, W: +2| Init: +4 | Perc:-1, SM:-1 | Speed 30ft | Arcane Pool 4/4 | Spells: 1st 1/2|Active conditions: None.

Have a wonderful trip. I'll likely be leveled tonight or tomorrow; work is a mess today!

Can't wait to see that spellstriking shocking grasp :)

Male CG elf fighter (lore warden) 2 | HP: 18/20 | AC: 19 (15 Tch, 14 Fl) | CMB: +4, CMD: 19 | F: +4, R: +4, W: +0 | Init: +4 | Perc: +11, SM +0 | Speed 30ft | Stamina 3/3| Active conditions: None.

@Nilelane: Sorry, completely forgot to answer your question regarding your rogue talent! I believe Slow Reactions could be pretty useful but there is no need for you to take it right now IMO. Since Cal is a Lore Warden, he will get a pretty good bonus on level 3 for combat maneuvers so I think you could wait a little longer!

Cool, thanks for the feedback. I'll hold-off on that one then.

Back now, will see how to get this train a-rolling again.

Male Elf Druid/Barbarian 4/2 Init +2/ HP 61/63 // AC: 15/T:12/FF:14 - // F +8/R +3/W +7 /CMB +8 - CMD 19/ Speed 40'
skills:
Perception+12 Stealth+3 Sensemotive+2

Woot lets do this!

Awesome, glad to hear it :D

Maybe PM Any and Cal? They both seem to still be playing games on the boards

I'll handle it.
