On a completely unrelated note, one of the Half Price Books in town had a bunch of old Pathfinder AP books in stock. Someone had clearly dumped their collection. I managed to pick up most of Runelords (Issue #1 wasn't with them), most of Second Darkness (missing books 4 and 6)...and the entirety of Crimson Throne.
So, at last, I have this AP in hardcopy. And I can't even begin to tell you how badly I want to read it. But I don't want to spoil the surprises in store, DM, so I am exhibiting some uncharacteristic self-control, and have not read a single page of any of them.

So, if Mr Wizard is CMB'n to rid himself of the Stirge, what spells is he casting? *wink* It gets really ugly when you can bring forth a veritable swarm! Summon III to get d4+1, AND Superior Summoning (total of d4+2!) for that last delicious, "What CON?" effect :D Unless you can think of many characters that can handle four CON damage (or so) a round... :)
But the next question is: can a Neutral Aligned Sorc (such as I) summon a L/G Lantern Archon? How about with the Sacred Summons Feat (oh my!) and at least one level of Blackfire Adept so she *poses* as an Evil Aura for that Sacred Summons... That would be so cool--dark lanterns throwing baleful beams of green malice! :D
I'm pretty sure that cannot happen....since your "aura" would essentially be NE so then the only creatures effected by Sacred Summons would be those that have only the EVIL subtype. There aren't that many of those on the SM list.

Karri should be CN...then with Blackfire Adept her aura would be CE and she could summon Demons. OFC the local paladinry might smite her repeatedly...
You have a point. When I wrote down her alignment there was no real motive for Neutral, other than to express her fight to offset the Legion.
I see the CN alignment as a fight against the Evil of Legion, versus a fight against the chaos.
Karri doesn't want to hurt people for pleasure...that is a "good" action. It balances out the evil urges that Legion sends her...
I don't think there's many paladins in Korvosa. More than in Kaer Maga, certainly, but still, probably not a whole lot.
The Hellknights, though, would be glad to squash the demon incursion beneath their jackboots.
Karri hasn't taken an action yet.
Also, I'd just like to remind you that the last time you turned your back on Karralo, he ran like hell and escaped into the city...

I went nearly that entire fight and never used
Slowing Strike* (Ex): An opponent damaged by the
slayer’s sneak attack has its speed is halved for 1d4
rounds. A successful Fortitude saving throw negates
this effect (DC = 10 + 1/2 of the slayer’s level + the slayer’s
Intelligence modifier). Against creatures with multiple
types of movement, you must choose which movement
type to affect. If you affect a creature’s f light movement
while it’s airborne, it must succeed at a DC 10 Fly check
to remain airborne; regardless, its maneuverability
is reduced by one step. If you target a creature already
affected by this ability, its speed and maneuverability are
not further reduced; you may either extend the duration
by 1d4 rounds or choose another movement type to affect.
I'd like to switch it for something with a static effect....that I don't always have to remember to apply.

Folks, I just want to apologize for the slow posting, but I've been juggling my day job with some freelance writing and cartography for Paizo and Legendary Games, so I'm currently kinda burnt out. I may be unavailable to post for a few days. My laptop (where I keep all my adventure notes) is in dire need of a new battery, so I'm going to take it in to be serviced on Tuesday. I have all the important PDFs and stuff on a jumpdrive, so I'll be able to keep track of the campaign. Until I post otherwise, my pacing is likely going to be interrupted.

An update!
I had to take my laptop in today for servicing--schedule problems prevented me from getting a ride out to fix it. I'll be getting us back on track tomorrow, when I get my laptop back. :)
