One would think that having ended the Urgathoan threat to the city, our heroes would be granted more time to rest. But alas, that is not the case. For Queen Ileosa herself has condemned Old Korvosa to a slow death, and is forcing the Korvosan Guard and Sable Company out in favour of a military force loyal to her alone--her Grey Maidens.

She must be removed from the throne, and the man who has the authority to unite the Peerage in doing so is trapped somewhere in Old Korvosa.

So, underwater planning!

I'm going to be packing a few contingencies, just in case something happens to the potions Raksi gave us. I've already prepped an additional water breathing, and I've got a few other options online. I'm also packing a dominate monster spell, so we can try to turn one of those sharks to our side.

I'll need to pick up a spear, for certain. By the by, are any of our warriors not wielding at least a masterwork weapon? Or do you want to keep using your grandfather's sword? I can definitely prep a masterwork transformation and get things upgraded for ya. Or you could just buy one, up to you.

Any other thoughts on what we need to get before we make this dive?

Well, glowing red eyes, certainly, and it's a darker gray color than most other dolphins. It still has a playful smile, but their teeth are sharper and longer, and the fins have a distinct bat-like structure.

Back! I was trying to come up with ways of being useful in these encounters, and I remembered we had some wands from previous loot. I went through the gameplay and discussion threads and noticed we had a wand of magic missile and a wand of acid splash that we never sold, and no one claimed it, either. It was found after we killed Devargo, in the same room we found Zellara's head. Unlike the wand of ghoul touch, which we actually did sell, these were forgotten... so, since Lyla is usually the one keeping track of the loot, I figured those might still be with her.

Dragoncat, if you have any objections, no problem, let's just say she fizzles her rolls because the magic has worn off (so I won't have to rewrite my last post), ok?

Again, sorry for the absence and thanks for your condolences, I'm better now.

I'll put in for the magic short spear. I don't have a magic weapon yet, and it's on the short list of available druid weapons. I can hold the wand as well - there are plenty of times when I'm not actively in melee that I could spend buffing people.

Not much is useful to Nalun outside of the weapons and armor.

Can you use power attack with a Rapier? If so I guess Nalun could become a fencing expert?

You totally can, Nalun. I think 3.0/3.5 had verbiage that prevented PA from being used with light weapons, but PF did away with that. It's -1/+2, unless you're using a weapon two-handed, or in your offhand. Then it's -1/+3 and -1/+1 respectively.

Sure, if you've got the time and money. The Retraining rules will be allowed... although considering the circumstances, you might not have enough time when it comes to dealing with the plague here.
