hey, yeah, Vai, I could used band members. of course haveing Bel on stage with us also, would be even better

Oh,just like you suggested, I messed up on stage there, on purpose. playing down to thier level, I think it worked some

"Hey Renkai, good to see you again." Vai said, remembering him from Light Blades the day before. She seems to shy away from him slightly, though given what Vai told Belyu, this is no surprise. "And good to meet you Melody."

She nods at Melody's question about Belyu, "Yeah, it was my brother's band."

Ok now I sense a story she seems to indicate Bel
well maybe two stories indicating Kai.

she looks at Kai and holds up three fingers.

at the mention of a harp.

you know its not what the instrument is, it's really the passion of the one playing it. I once knew a halfling that could end a war by playing the harmonica. besides bel is right. we can have that harp sounding as good as this guitar right here, acoustically speaking of course

Hey! Don't talk to my sister like that!

At Melody's encouragement, Vai looks slightly torn. On the one hand... it was bad enough being around a couple other people, let alone on stage in front of a crowd... but on the other hand... she really did like music. She loved playing the harp, making the sounds. Belyu had faced her fear head-on. Maybe it hadn't ended well for her... but she was very brave. Vai had to try. "Oh-okay. I'll come try out Melody... but I did warn you that I'm not very good yet!" Vai then proceeds to sink into the water up to her nose, still able to breath, but almost like hiding. Her hair was wet and stringy, and so even if she wanted to, it couldn't really cover her face.

well as long as you play with the heart and passion I believe you have, you should do just fine.

Melody leans in a little closer to whisper just play a duet with me first and trust me

"She's alive?" Elsa looked completely shocked at the news Avery had delivered. The long blonde hair of the elf woman shimmered in the early evening light. Avery's bearded face looks sad. "Yes... but she doesn't want to have anything to do with us. She..." he choked, emotion overtaking him, and quivered slightly, remembering the rage and hate his daughter had thrown at him. She had wings too. Horrible leathery wings. "She's not the same. She tried to attack me, Elsa. She tried to kill me. Our sweet baby girl." He looked broken-hearted, his head falling into his hands, cupping his face as the tears began to flow.

Elsa took all this in, trying to keep it together. There was reason to hope again. Reason to believe that maybe someday, their little girl might forgive them and come back to them. "Dear." she said quietly to her husband, putting a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "It must be fate that this happened today. The Gods are trying to tell us something. Maybe we just have to be patient. She's alive, that's all that matters right now."

It had to be fate, after all, that Vai had returned here on this exact day... the 2 year anniversary of the day they had lost her. Her 18th birthday.

The husband and wife hug, unable to stop the tears any long. Tears of hope.

Bradley's heart was racing much too fast. He was pretty sure that from Ana this was just a gesture of friendship. And he was okay with that. But this was the first time a girl had held his hand. It felt pretty nice, actually. But it made it really hard to think.

"I dunno, Ana. Maybe your purpose here is just to learn to be yourself, you know? It sounds like you've spent a lot of time helping other people. And helping people is good. I'm not saying you should stop helping. But it's okay to have things that you want too. I'm pretty sure you can help people and still enjoy life." He shrugged and smiled. "I just wanted to do something nice for you since you've been so nice to me. And mostly just cause you're my friend. I guess since you don't really have anything that is your 'thing' that I'll just have to surprise you...so, uh, don't get too mad if I mess it up okay," he said with a self-deprecating laugh.

Miss Jones sighed as the last of the other students left and only Dave, Skeets, and herself remained.

"You have two choices, Mr. De'Foul. You can either learn to control this ability to control others so that it only happens when you are consciously trying, or you can begin the process of retraining your mind to remove it altogether. You don't have to decide tonight. Both processes begin the same way, by placing barriers in your mind to prevent you from unconsciously taking on thralls."

"The important thing here is that you will be placing these barriers yourself. I will teach you how and supervise the entire process to make sure it's done correctly, but I will not do this for you. There is less risk if you do them yourself since you can strengthen them anytime you need to."

Glancing about, she offered, "I shall be guided by your generous advice, Bradley. Out of all who I have met here thus far, your words strike a cord deepest. Enjoy... Life, hmmm? How should I begin this? What say you?"

Though she still stood out, as a warlord or leader of humanity's might, at that moment, with her hair resting in the chaotic and relaxed manner about her dark features, expressive eyes fixed on Bradley's own, she had only attention for his words. Even the usual distractions of motion and noises about her did little to pull her focus away.

And then, perhaps a touch of the chaotic thoughts riddling her mind, she interrupted by saying, mostly out of eagerness, "Tomorrow, after dawn, I shall seek awareness of the ability to let your dreams of flying come true. Either as a bird, or as you are now."

She then, with a warm smile, waited for a response.

Melody giggles every time Vai is blowing ubbles. but ta the same time she seems a bit lost in thought like she is on the verge of some grand discovery.

the calculations running through her head. her fingers tapping on the side of the hot tub bothe a rythmic beat but with a mathmatical sequence.

suddenly she pops her head up.

I Got It! Thanks Vai, it was you that inspired this so it only fitting that you play this when and if it works.

She looks to Kai or anyone else I need paper and a pen, any paper and pen

while someone grabs it (unless there ar none around) she could even use a napkin.

I am thinking of a harp. But not just any harp, a Giant harp. the strings run the entire length of the suditorium, or whatever venue we play at, even outside, actually better outside.

she quickly sketches her idea when she gets something to write on.

stop me if this is to sciencey but imagine a harp that uses the earth (or the stadium) as it's resonanting chamber. the strings create the vibrations that release the resonance harmony of the earth itself to create music that will actually encompass the entire audience.

I'll call it an Earth Harp she looks at everyone to see if anyone is still even listening.
