Ardiente, of the Fuerte wrote:

Ardiente escorts Raelle to the door, standing at attention. His hands are clasped behind his his back. He stands, almost poised, ready to fight. Sorchan has seen this before in his parents retainers: the bodyguard in him is at the forefront of his mannerisms. Ardiente is evidently intent on protecting Raelle, though from what is not entirely clear.

Ardiente hesitates slightly, unsure of how to phrase it. When he speaks, his voice is deadpan, as if delivering a military report. "I'm not sure of the details, Professor, but David had her under some sort of unintentional charm effect."

The look of fury and pain on Sorchan's face did not bode well for Dave's continued existence. His arms tightened around Raelle as she continued to cry. In spite of that his voice was soft and reassuring as he comforted her, as best he could.

"It's okay, baby. It's not your fault. It's not your fault."

Pyra walked into the room just then. "I just finished tucking Chara in for the night. I was going to go look for Ignace, she'll probably sew all night if we.....what happened?"

The haunted look in his eyes as he turned to look at his wife spoke volumes, though one could guess that there was also a fair amount of telepathic communication going on.

"Raelle, why don't you come with me for a bit," she said, gently, drawing Raelle into her arms and leading her into the other room.

Sorchan collapsed onto a chair, fighting with his own memories as well as his anger as a father.

"Is there anything else you can tell me," he said hoarsely.

Thank you Ignace, I will cherish it always. oh and I have this for you lang pulls out a lop-sided half stuffed pin cushion that he made some of the colors don't match. and some threads are hanging off of it.

I'm sorry it isn't as pretty but I worked really hard on it.

"That's alright, Lang. I'll treasure it because I know you did your best to make it for me," she said, trying to be encouraging. Even for a first effort it was...well, sad. Sewing was clearly not Lang's talent.

She considers, back stroking a bit around him, "Are you fond of nature, and it's amazing and beautiful things, Bradley?"

There's a warm smile on her face as she stops and watches him, paddling more water in the lake. It's clear she won't be tired for a long while.

"I am. There are amazing and beautiful things everywhere if you look, but I think it's a lot easier to find them in nature where every little thing is a kind of miracle," he said, floating on his back. He was actually kinda surprised at how well things were going. Maybe his power was still recharging from earlier. That would be handy if it were true.

There's a stir, in Anahita's features when he says the words he does and she smiles brighter. She swims a bit closer to him, not really peering at anything about him that stands out, as he floats there on his back, asking, "Are you religious, Bradley? Do you follow a belief?"

Easily a foot away from him now, treading water, Anahita might pass off as a mermaid, though of the desert, so perhaps not, with her hair drenched at her sides, considering Bradley's face as he speaks.

She's still just watching mostly his face, nothing sexual about her actions intentionally, just being with another person talking about nature in a lake, while ignoring everything else, basically.

PM question for you, Lynora-- writing it now. If you want, I phrased it to be a simple yes or no, so.. could just skip replying to it and saying yes or no in your next Bradley post. Cheers.

When the serpent arrives at the door he shifts into human form.

He is slightly above average in height with pale hair... his long mustache hangs just past his chin... But despite the color of his hair he is slim and well muscled in a wiry way... His skin is bronzed from hours uncounted under the sun.. His hands are steady and his dark blue eyes hold a timeless intelligence of one who has seen years pass and retains a perfect grip on his mental facilities...

With a calm breath he knocks upon her door

The door opens and he is looking into a kitchen. A woman sits at the kitchen table and there is a tea set in front of her, steam curling up from the spout of the teapot. She had almond shaped purple eyes and dark purple hair pulled back into a severe knot at the nape of her neck, her pale skin a striking contrast to her vivid hair and eyes. She gracefully held back the wide sleeve of her dress with one hand as she poured the tea with the other.

With a few more nods, reminded by what he'd mentioned previously with the trinkets and other foci of divine beings, Anahita says, "When we are done with this fun, perhaps tomorrow after classes, or you choose to pull me away to fly sooner," suggesting she would do so instead of attend class, "I would very much like to take you elsewhere, and sit with you to commune with the divine that is always around us. Within you. Within me, the very water we tread in, the very earth that is beneath our feet. There will be no names, no idols or trinkets required. Merely patience and stillness within yourself and myself, as we do this. I would be honored if you would attend such a ritual with me, Bradley, for I do feel a kinship with you as I've said before. Perhaps we are on the same path, and my purpose here is realized before me now."

Having said that, Anahita is quite close to the young boy, bright eyed as she is, nearly alive with an intensity that she feels within, expressed as she did without.

Then she laughs, a light joyful laugh, sinking below the water and immersing herself in water, giving silent thanks for it's existence and blessing to 'fly' within it.

A few moments later, she pops her head up and says, "Use the slide, Bradley! You enjoy it, go ahead! Show me again.. I may try it if you demonstrate once more." She's suddenly a youngster in a way, cheerful, alive.

"Oh, you know me, do you? Because of my hair?" His smiles grows, and he leans his head back to reveal small horns no longer hidden by his bangs.
