Taron was heavily favored due to his previous performance in the last snipe hunt. Jiminy was up to his usual tricks and Dennis was using the chaos that created to cover all the comings and going as students came to him to place bets.
"Are there any odd rules in the hunt?" Asch asks as he checks a couple of small pouches taking out a small kit and does some small modifications on his revolvers.

Dennis gritted his teeth at the use of his hated last name. "Sure, Mr. Relkav. The odds on Blackscale are about twenty to one against. The odds on Miss Sunwake are about a hundred to one against. And it looks like the odds on Redgrave are two to one in favor, but there's also a side bet going on between Redgrave and Taron Sunwake on who can clear more opponenents. "Professor Relkav." Under his hood, Vakkler winces at the reflexive correction. "Hm...alright. I'll put my ten silver here on Redgrave to win that side bet. However." The professor pulls out another pouch. "I am putting twenty silver on Blackscale to get the first snipe. I trust this is permitted, Mr. Buttercup?"
"Excellent."
Vakkler goes back to his office. "I better not have guessed wrong," he mutters. "Not with what those misers pay me."
"Good just making sure that there are no hidden rules I'd hate to let Taron win because I broke a rule." Asch says as he begins to reassemble the guns with practiced ease. When he finishes he spins the cylinders smiling as they spin with a smooth clicking sound.
"I'd hate to win that way." Taron says as he watches Asch assemble his weapons of choice.
"Well, may the best sentient win, fellas."

"You can go all out, Krays, since people get teleported to the healers just before the killing blow towards them is struck. This does mean there will not be a chance for you to make undead to aid you in the Hunt."
