"Well, I need someone to go with me to talk to my grandma, but it doesn't have to be you guys if you have things you need to do to get ready. Although there will be time later on. The snipe hunt isn't until after dinner. Still, maybe Krays would like to come with me. I bet he'd like to meet my grandma," she said, smiling at her kobold friend.

"Well if you'll be ok with out us we have some work to do for the hunt. To make sure we all come back alive" Asch says with a coldness in his voice that contrasts the fire in his eyes.

Basically Asch is picking up some bane bullets.

12 fey bane bullets
36 human bane bullets
24 magical beast bane bullets
24 monstrous humanoids bane bullets
12 undead bane bullets
6 construct bane bullets
6 animal bane bullets

Also a few other items:
Ring of protection +2 Asch/Amada
Ring of forcefang Amada
Ring of Ram Asch

Well, I'm trying not to pressure him, and Ryleh can be a bit intimidating. :)

Jiminy accidentally steps on something that crunches under his feet. He looks down and notices crystal shards on the ground by the target.

"Uh-oh. Hey, Spin, the shot looked good, but it looked like it didn't go off. If the spell had worked the bullet would have dissolved. There's little bits of crystal all over the floor..."

He looked thoughtful.

"You know what? I think I know how to make it work though. But it'll take a lot of power and I won't be able to keep it running for long. So we'll wait until just before the hunt. I think I can copy Ephebe's abilities onto you temporarily...just the ones involved with shooting the Caster. I do have limits after all," he said with a cocky grin.

oh come on, now! New school, new group of friends, craziness happening everywhere, one of the cute girls imprints on him, and the sixteen year old kid is supposed to be excited to go meet her family? It's been a day! :D

It's about a DC 5 Sense Motive check to figure out how she feels about him after that inarticulate outburst. :P

So let's see how Mr. unobservant does....Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21

Apparently Jiminy is very observant today...

Jiminy's jaw about hit the floor as he saw his usually calm and rational sister floundering for words and otherwise acting like a normal teenage girl. "No way!" he thinks. "This guy? For real? Now? Oh,crap." Calculates chances that he'll survive if he makes it clear that he wouldn't take it kindly if his sister should happen to get her heart broken and doesn't like his odds. Ephebe would gut him if he threatened her guy. He narrowed his eyes and watched the shapeshifter suspiciously.

Asch's eyes widen slightly when he hears Ephebe. "Well life's not worth living if there is no one to live it with." He thinks to himself. "I wonder if Spin is even aware...wait....the gym did she tell him maybe that's why he seemed weird....er"

Boy was he pissed when I outshot him 4/5, and then had to correct him on the right way back to the truck when he got lost. Took me years to figure out he had been trying to intimidate me. Not all of us. They tried to teach me to shoot when I was twelve. Gun knocked me flat on my butt. (I was a really small twelve year old, and it was not a good gun for teaching children with.)After that I outright refused to even pick up a gun. Lots of tromping around in the woods. No shooting. :)

Ayup. The U.P., where even the girls know how to shoot (except me). :) I've mostly broken myself of the 'eh' thing, although it does creep in when I'm not aware. And it drives my husband nuts that I can't shake the accent. Frequent rants on a boot being an article of clothing, you don't talk aboot things. :P

Culturally speaking, we're supposed to treat other beings with respect and we DO NOT eat sentient creatures. Honestly, Grandma hasn't even killed anyone in a couple of decades, and wouldn't do that unless someone was really, really evil and a danger to the family. Be respectful, after all she is my grandmother, but neither of you are in the slightest bit of danger," she said firmly.

Everyone's still at the doctor place, right? I can't remember if we moved, or if the door's locked. There's definitely a penalty to being uninvolved for a few pages. :P
