Winks at Vai, mid grumble

Genosuke |

Oh, my. That's not what was intended!

Jeran Darkclaw |

Throwing more paper to the weakening wall, Oniero folds paper into a spiked ring and flings it as Jeran.
"Catch!"
It's the good version of the cestus, the one that let monk's use their unarmed damage instead of 1d4. Does piercing damage.
"Thanks!"
Gripping the spiked ring, Jeran throws another punch at the creature, hoping this time to damage it and not his friends.
Attack:1d20 + 35 ⇒ (17) + 35 = 52
Damage:8d10 + 16 ⇒ (3, 3, 6, 1, 7, 5, 5, 1) + 16 = 47

Genosuke |

<facepalm>

Query |

"Vacate. Purging commenced." Query warns the group, signalling them to retreat from the room as his summon begins to emerge...
Elder Earth Elementals
Its body half melded with the stone of the floor, it surges towards the nearest Grisgol, attempting to overpower the construct.
Awesome Blow: 1d20 + 43 ⇒ (12) + 43 = 55
Damage: 2d10 + 15 ⇒ (2, 5) + 15 = 22
If the check makes it, the Grisgol is knocked back 10 feet into a wall if applicable...Which would do an additional 1d6 damage from "Falling".
I'm not sure, but Greater Overrun makes it so that this movement provokes attacks from my allies. So I dunno if Awesome Blow would use that, but if so, then have at him, Jeran!
As soon as his summon is on the battlefield, Query visibly 'relaxes', his arms at his side as he takes a step back into the hallway.
The Deva takes a few steps over, provoking an attack from the Grisgol as he places himself between Ori and it.
"Time is critical. Please vacate immediately."

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

"What's so funny?" Vai says, then sticks her tongue out. Her face was burning with embarassment. A small part at the back of her mind told her to just run away, but she didn't feel like running for some reason.
You can thank Fei's aura for this continued exchange xD
I live to serve.
[Bows humbly];P
Fei listens to the exchange - a bit puzzled at the timing, but quietly impressed with Vai's tenacity in dealing with Keme's..... unique personality.
;D

Jeran Darkclaw |

Jeran reflexively takes a swing at the creature on its way past.
Attack:1d20 + 35 ⇒ (5) + 35 = 40
Damage:8d10 + 16 ⇒ (9, 4, 7, 9, 5, 9, 2, 2) + 16 = 63
And then registers the command to 'vacate'. He swears under his breath before taking off at a dead run to get to Oneiro, on the grounds that Khassar has sense enough to run and the professor would turn into a giant tree creature quite capable of defending herself if she ended up in too bad of shape, but the stubborn paper mage would likely try to hold his ground. And he was gonna drag him out of here by force if necessary.

Ryleh |

"Alright. You know what teams you're in. Work out some kind of practice schedule for aerial maneuvering so that you not only can do so, but can work together at it. Make sure to have a back-up plan in case of damage to your wings as well. For now that is all. We'll reconvene when we are ready to move forward on this matter. Thank you all for coming today and let me remind you once again, it is vitally important that Nasima not learn so much as a hint of any of this."

Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |

"Fine by me. Hey, can we work out this schedule thing quickly? I wanna check the results for the student council election."

Krays |

"I will make myself free whenever, just let me know."

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

"Assuming that Sifu Daiyu will allow us the use of the classroom, it would probably have to be after the last clash of the day," the young monk ponders aloud. "If this is to be kept secret as well, we may not be able to do it every day - or with everyone present at the same time..."
"Hm."

Ori Reading |

Ori, deciding that wisdom was the better part of valor, decided that now would be a good time to run. Before the guardian spirit made another appearance.

Genosuke |

"I can open a gate to the plane of air when ever needed."

Ryleh |

"I can open a gate to the plane of air when ever needed."
"Very good. Then we have all of the pieces in place."

Oneiro Mance |

These things were covered in paper, so why couldn't he just take control of them!? His wall was burning, his lungs were so tight and he was getting lightheaded, but he couldn't just leave the book here!
Of course, you don't get much choice when a werewolf picks you up and speeds you out of the room.

Jeran Darkclaw |

Regrouping in the hallway, "Khassar, Oneiro and the professor are both in pretty bad shape....Can you help them?"

Keme Tokala |

"You can use magic?" Vai mocked. It was much easier for her now that everyone was having their own conversation and they weren't focused on her. "Well that is certainly a surprise."
"Well, it wouldn't be if you knew anything about kitsune....you do know what books are right?" he teased.

Ori Reading |

"Thank you, Khassar," she said, gratefully.
"So, how long do you think it will be before the dust clears and we can go back in? We can't just abandon the book."

Nala Zamarosok |

She was looking at an enormous pile of thin sticks. She wasn't sure what they were for, but a talking cat had been going on and on for the last five minutes about how she had to find the stick with the red end or something terrible would happen. Apparently the sticks were some sort of fortune telling tool and this was the only way to avert disaster for having spilled them. And there was a limited amount of time to stave off this disaster. She sighed. It was like looking for a needle in a stack of needles.
She started sifting through the sticks.
1d100 ⇒ 63
She thought she saw the right one, but another part of the pile crashed down on it before she could grab it. She started searching again.
1d100 ⇒ 84
This time she was more fortunate. She spotted the stick again and this time got a hold of it before it disappeared within the pile again. She held it up.
"Here it is. I found it!"
A chime sounded and she was falling again.

Query |

"Purging will complete in short order. Please wait here until completion." he says as he takes a step into the doorway after you all leave.
From inside the room you hear the continued assaults from the summoned beings, and between the continued assaults of the elemental's powerful fists and the deva's flailing hammer, Query seems quite confident in that the two beings will not survive much longer.

Ryuzo Kato |

"I what...? Oh, she is being tested for Champion status? Wow, nice. That should keep her mother off of her back." He visibly relaxes, for the first time since they arrived.

Nala Zamarosok |

She was seated behind a tall bench wearing a black robe. It looked like a courtroom. And apparently she was the judge. There was a prisoner waiting to be sentenced.
"Your honor? What is the sentence?" the lawyer asked, anxiously.
She felt lost. She looked down at the paper in front of her that detailed the crimes of the accused. And saw red. She knew too well what it felt like to be the victim of this kind of crime.
"Hang him," she said flatly. "It's too good for him, but do it anyways."
There was another chime, but this one was a deeper pitch.

Vai Sunwake |

"Well, it wouldn't be if you knew anything about kitsune....you do know what books are right?" he teased.
"Oh yes, I've been studying hard recently. However, I try to focus on things that are important." [i]Vai replies offhandedly, failing to hide her smile. Her smile fades as she changes the subject. "Speaking of important... I need to go talk to someone."

Nala Zamarosok |

She was standing once more in front of the altar, but now there was someone sitting on the altar grinning at her. It was impossible to tell if this person was a boy or a girl. They looked pre-adolescent except for the eyes.
"You'll do," the child(?) said and disappeared.
Nala stumbled back from the altar, and fell through the door.
She looked up at Ryuzo. "I'm not really sure what just happened," she admitted.
Ryuzo can see that she has a Champion aura of Luck now.

Keme Tokala |

Keme Tokala wrote:"Well, it wouldn't be if you knew anything about kitsune....you do know what books are right?" he teased."Oh yes, I've been studying hard recently. I need to go talk to someone."
Keme shrugged. "Fine by me. We can practice our tactics later. I should get back to her highness anyways. It's not good to leave her unsupervised."

Oneiro Mance |

"Thank you, Khassar," she said, gratefully.
"So, how long do you think it will be before the dust clears and we can go back in? We can't just abandon the book."
"Thanks, Khas." Oniero rasps as his breathing eases significantly. "I don't know. I didn't see it in there, just some damn decoy meant to distract as as those scroll covered creatures move in."

Ryuzo Kato |

"Yep. You have a different patron now. One more like mine. Arise champion!" he says playfully, extending her a hand up.

Ori Reading |

"Well, if we're very fortunate, then those creatures won't be able to withstand the assault against them. Or we'll have to risk another attempt at fighting them. But somehow we'll make it back into that room to search for the real book."

Nala Zamarosok |

"Yep. You have a different patron now. One more like mine. Arise champion!" he says playfully, extending her a hand up.
She took his hand and scrambled to her feet. "I'm a champion now? Of what? And what does this mean? Is there anything special I'm supposed to do?"

Ryuzo Kato |

"Umm. Well, that's up to your patron. Mine is pretty upfront with what she wants done, most of the time. I don't know much about the others, I don't hang out with them that much. But, it usually has something to do with what your patron is. Yours is luck..." he shows his aura "...and mine is deception. You can tell by the aura."

Nala Zamarosok |

[blink, blink]
"Gods help anyone who tried to go up against us at cards,' she said dryly, as she tried to think about the implications of being the champion of luck.
"You're all sparkly. Is that how I look too?"

Nala Zamarosok |

Nala blushed. It wasn't that she was unaware of her looks, but they were just looks. Somehow when Ryuzo said it though she got all self-conscious. Well, self-conscious and happy.
"Well, this will take some getting used to. This and the shapeshifting. If I ever even learn how. So...I guess we go back to Avalon now?"
