Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

"Well, there's the auditorium...it pretty much looks like an auditorium. And the cafeteria. Same deal. Umm...I promised Michael I wouldn't show you his room without him there, but I can take us through the student lounge on the way back to the infirmary and you can see my room if you want to know what the student accomodations are like...ummm.....there's lots of classrooms and item creation labs and such, but after a while they all look alike."
"Any of that would be fine, Kitty." Sylvia assures the young tiefling. "This is our first time here after all, so we don't mind seeing all the boring things." ;)

"Well, okay, if you don't mind."

Kitty led the way through the school, stopping to show them a few classrooms and labs on the way to the auditorium followed by a brief stop at the cafeteria, a trip through one of the student lounges and a stop at her room.

"Michael's room is the same size, but with stone floors instead of tatami mats. And all of his furniture is taller. This is the kind of furniture we use in my hometown. And each room has its own bathroom as well, which is quite convenient. Honestly it's nicer than home in that way."

"Okay, well, I think that's everything I can think of. So I guess it's time to go back to the infirmary and check on Michael."

"I think we can use just a little cut and smear it on the edges so we don't have to try more than once." Oniero says as he holds up a piece of paper with a magically sharpened edge.

"Let's get this over with," she said, holding out her hand.

"How much do you want to bet he pretends to be asleep?"
"I'm not betting with you, Jerak."
"Don't say that, Sylvie! You used to like our little bets." Mr. Dacamara protests as the head for the infirmary.
"Those bets never had anything to do with our children."

Ori Reading wrote:

"I'll try to be quick about it. It shouldn't hurt too-" Oneiro starts to say before he swipes the edge of the paper across one of Ori's fingers. The blood spills from the cut non to slowly, and a few drops fall to the jungle floor already despite the shallowness of the cut.

Kitty smiled as she listened to their banter. It wasn't like her family, but she thought she was starting to understand the pattern a little now.

She waved at the healer before heading into the room where Michael had been resting.

"Geez! Give a girl better warning! Especially a girl who turns into a giant spirit monster when she loses her temper....common sense, boy!"

"Oh, look, that worked better than expected. I hope your packed up, because I'm not planning on wasting more blood than necessary on this. In other words, let's get a move on."

"So it worked?" He asks, ignoring the 'common sense' part of the little speech.

Image

"Can't you see it? The path is marked out clearly now....oh, never mind, just follow me," she said taking off in the direction she saw the trail.

"It's bad enough they have to fight without me. Without both of us would be too much of a handicap. I'll be alright, love. I promise, I'll be extra careful. And if it will make you feel better, I can ask Lysander to help...I'm sure he'd love that," she said, rolling her eyes.

"You didn't go crazy from the paper cut, did you?"

Oneiro Mance wrote:

"Yes, the magic thing is actually woirking, so let's assume that it's insanity. Way to look a gift horse in the mouth. I mean that, actually. Good job. A healthy dose of scepticism will serve you well as a paper mage. In the meantime, I'll just keep following the nice magical trail into what will almost certainly turn out to be an ambush."

"I saw a bunch of nightmare wolves yesterday. Thought I should at least ask."

Kitty Tanaka wrote:

"So did you manage to... nope they're still following you." Michael grins as Kitty and his parents return. He's sitting up now, and doesn't look any worse than when they left. "How was the tour?"

"Not bad. Most of the time we were gone was just snooping through your room. Kitty was very cooperative about the whole thing."

"Jerak!" Sylvia exclaims as she slaps the back of her husbands head. "Teasing Michael is one thing, but don't bring Kitty into it without asking her first!"

"It's an excellent question, and I would certainly keep an eye on me if I were you," she called over her shoulder as she hurried to follow the trail.

Kitty smiled. "It's okay. Michael knows I would never do that, Dacamara-sama."

She bowed. "I am pleased that you feel comfortable enough around me to include me in your misguided attempts at humor," she said a twinkle of mischief in her eyes.

"Dang ice!" Anthony laughs as he gets back up and races after the ball. It would be a lot easier to do if he could keep from colliding with people. Why couldn't he be as agile on the ground as he was in trees?

Ehos finally loses his footing in a huge mess of people mashing towards the ball. They had been playing for 10 minutes and no one had scored yet, but at least everyone was staying warm. Ehos clambers back to his feet and spots the boy from earlier. He definitely recognized him... but from where?

Female Half-elf Gestalt Sorcerer6/Dragon Disciple9 // Rogue (Swashbuckler)8/Duelist7

"I can become immune to electric attacks, that should come in handy. Keme... how are we supposed to take energy from Khoda? Is there some sort of device? Vai is imagining a packmate the likes of Jims, except with a vacuum on it's back. She can't repress the smile that comes with the image.

Image

"You should be able to draw the energy into your stone, at least for a little while and with some help. Or...I don't know. If you're not comfortable using that pendant, which I can understand...I guess I could make something to hold the energy. But you have to be the one to draw it off."

Female Half-elf Gestalt Sorcerer6/Dragon Disciple9 // Rogue (Swashbuckler)8/Duelist7

"Alright. I don't mind using this pendant. And maybe if Khoda's attention is focused on me, it will give the others some breathing room." Vai says nervously. She had seen Khoda's power in action before. She wondered if her draconic form would be able to stand that much electricity...

Image

"Idiot. What do you think my job is? One annoying distraction coming up.....Just promise to scrape me up and bring back what's left," he said sardonically.

Female Half-elf Gestalt Sorcerer6/Dragon Disciple9 // Rogue (Swashbuckler)8/Duelist7

"At least you'll be playing to your strengths." Vai says with a grin.

Image

Keme looked startled that she'd actually joked back. And then he laughed.

"So you do have a sense of humor after all. Good to know."

Female Half-elf Gestalt Sorcerer6/Dragon Disciple9 // Rogue (Swashbuckler)8/Duelist7

"Of course I have a sense of humour, you've just never been funny before." she continued to grin. There was something a little fearful in her joking, her nervousness over the entire operation coming out as humour.

Male Kobold (Adult Black dragon) Gestalt Sorceror/Oracle Necromancer; Champion of Death

He smiles at his mate
"We just fight better side by side is all. I know you'll be well protected here."
She will get a faint bit of worry over the bond

While observing the banter between Vai and Keme, Fei ruminates over Ryleh's answer...and how Sifu Daiyu will feel about such a use for her meditation classroom.

"You wound me!" he teased. "I am the veritable soul of comedy."

"At least I assumed that was what all the pointing and laughing was about..." ;P

She squeezed his hand. "It's going to be alright. We'll make it be alright."

Nods and kisses his wife.

"Like I'd let a crazy lady out of my sight." Oneiro says under his breath. "Lead the way, Professor!"

Following the hazy red path is surprisingly boring after being attacked by dweomercats the previous day. It twists and turns, but it's not hard to follow a path made of blood. About midday the trail leads to a more open area of the jungle... and the ruins of what was possible a temple at one point.

Female Half-elf Gestalt Sorcerer6/Dragon Disciple9 // Rogue (Swashbuckler)8/Duelist7

"Of course of course." Vai says and a thought strikes her. Not everyone here knows about what she truly is. She needed to be in dragon form during the fight. There was no helping that. "Excuse me" she says to Keme, and moves back over to her mother. She whispers to her "Mom, I need to be able to fight in dragon form, but I don't know if everyone here can be trusted."

"Misguided?" Jerak says in mock-hurt. "Kitty, how you wound me with your words! My attempt was right on target until my darling wife knocked it off course!"

"Dad... give it up." Michael says simply. "I know Kitty well enough to know she could come up with a better joke than that."

"Now even my own son turns against me..."

Ignoring his father's fake lamentations, Michael looks to his mother.

"Really though, how was the tour?"

"We had a great time. We saw the alchemy lab where you made Saffire, and the gardens were a wonderful sight even if they were covered in frost."

Dark Archive

"Gotta score already..." Anthony breathes as he slides toward the ball. He almost had, he was going to score a point! Then he spotted the elven boy from earlier and slid right past the ball. It couldn't be...?

The dark is all around. Time passes, but it ceased to have meaning. tick. The dirt settles. tock. The roots of trees slowly work their way through the stone walls. tick. Rainy seasons come and go. tock. Even the sounds of animals walking above has stopped. tick. There is only silence and darkness. tock.

"So....what do you think the chances are that the book is here?" Ori said, looking around.

He's been here so long he can't be sure he isn't hallucinating...again....but it sounds like voices far above him.

"One book leads to the next. If it's not here, the way to the book will be." Oniero replies as he makes a regular paper lantern. "I didn't expect Flesh to be so close though. I hope that's a good omen."

He looks at Aananda. "It never seemed to be a casue of concern for anyone else, so it was never mentioned."
