"You know, the meeting is inside the lab, not out in the hallway," Keme said, interrupting Enre's reading. "Come on. We're both late anyhow, so that should prevent me from being yelled at."
"Interesting. And who are you, if I may ask?"
"I'm sorry to hear that. Are you the one tasked to maintain this place? If so, it's nice, aside from the tentacles in the water..."
"Nala is the first Winter Princess to challenge her position?"
"Well...we could just teleport him here, Mother. I'm sure they can manage without him for a half hour or so."
"Yes, I suppose the point was to have everyone here at once so we don't have to explain things twice."
Ryleh mentally grabs Fei and teleports him to the lab.
"There. Now we're all here so the meeting can get started."
"Heh. I'll bet the Winter Queen did not see this coming. Will this protect Nala from any retribution from either Queen?"
Vai avoids eye contact with Keme after their conversation yesterday. However, there was an older man whom she had not met yet... one of the teachers for sure.
"Yes, I suppose the point was to have everyone here at once so we don't have to explain things twice."
Ryleh mentally grabs Fei and teleports him to the lab.
"There. Now we're all here so the meeting can get started."
Fei has just finished the turn on the lap he was running in the pool when the scenery suddenly changes. The bright light of the sun is replaced with the clinical artificial light of the lab as the young monk - along with some of the water in immediate contact with his body - appears a few feet in the air amidst the gathering.
The water falls to the ground along with Fei, though he does manage to get his feet under him quickly enough to land in a somewhat contorted crouch. He looks around and slowly rises, the only sound for a moment the water dripping off of him to the tiled floor under his bare feet.
"Ummmm....hello. What is...going on?" he asks quizzically, giving a quick bow to all present.

"Ah. You were not where I expected you to be. Well, that would explain why you did not receive your invitation I suppose. We are meeting to discuss our plans to deal with Nasima's problem before it becomes everyone's problem. There are some coveralls over there. We'll give you a couple of minutes to put them on."
"Heh. I'll bet the Winter Queen did not see this coming. Will this protect Nala from any retribution from either Queen?""By the terms of the treaty it will protect her from retribution for this. But they are...slippery. They can find reason to deliver retribution for some other offense, real or imagined."
Rolls his eyes.
"I really shouldn't be suprised by that. Umm, I don't think she will, but what happens if she fails her trial? Is she stuck as the Winter Princess?"
"Ah. You were not where I expected you to be. Well, that would explain why you did not receive your invitation I suppose. We are meeting to discuss our plans to deal with Nasima's problem before it becomes everyone's problem. There are some coveralls over there. We'll give you a couple of minutes to put them on."
Fei turns, then bows deeply to Ryleh. "Of...course. I apologize if I have offended anyone."
He walks over and quickly slips into the proffered coveralls, then stands quietly so the meeting can resume. (=^_^=)
Vai knew Fei was coming, but she didn't expect the splash of water, and the handsome young monk's powerfully built body so uncovered. She immediately blushes, sinking back behind her mother and letting her hair fall over the one side of her face, hoping no one else spotted her blush.
Jim stops working, and, realizing that his homunculi would be making noise if they were to continue to do so, stows them inside the portable hole in his chest, to spend time expanding it while the meeting is taking place.

"That's a handy little bit of magic." Jerak notes as he feels the temperature become comfortable.
"You're practicing nature magic now, Kitty?" Sylvia asks.
Oniero spends the night both translating the book and keeping watch for the others. Progress became simple when he realized the book was written in a language he knew, but hadn't seen in so long that it wasn't immediately recognizable. Most of the book, understandably, was about blood magic and divination magic. The last page had a riddle on it however, and he knew if they could figure out what it meant it would lead to the next book.
"That's a handy little bit of magic." Jerak notes as he feels the temperature become comfortable.
"You're practicing nature magic now, Kitty?" Sylvia asks.
Kitty blushes, feeling a little self-conscious. "Yeah. I started spontaneously summoning different animals not that long ago so they put me in nature magic classes. I'm starting to get the hang of it, but I've got a long way to go. And I officially told my family that I'm not pursuing shinobi training anymore. They weren't exactly thrilled, but they understand."

Ori was all too happy to leave the cooking to Khassar once more since he had a great deal more idea how to go about it than she did. What she wanted even more than breakfast was a shower....well, you can't have everything, she reminded herself.

"Oh my..." Sylvia says as she sees the garden. Even covered in frost she found it beautiful. "This school is an amazing place."
"Alright. I believe we're all familiar with the problem. A minor god who happens to possess a seed of Destruction is trying to use Nasima as a doorway to get to the material plane. We cannot allow that to happen. Jim, how goes your progress so far?"
Well, the boys and I are coming up on completion, and my device should be able to cut the connection. The operation's going to take some time, though.

"The only spell the two mix in was one to see if you were related to someone through the past ten generations. I got that it has something to due with blood, but... that's as much as I can figure out."
