He watches the display over each structure not seeing a difference...then notices the signatures flare up in the fifth structure as he passes by. Excitedly he calls it in.
"HQ! Sunbird! I've got seven firebirds at target area five! Repeat, firebirds in target area five!"
"Copy that. Boss, did you catch that?"
"Yeah, I caught that, HQ. DIverting to target area 5." There was a pause and then he continued. "I just got confirmation that Raelle was taken by a group of firebirds. Sparky and Scorch, you are closest to target area five. Divert there. Sunbeam, stand by and prepare to provide backup. I want the other teams to continue to check the other structures in case this is a trick to throw us off."

Miss Jones' Office
"If you said no, I would have referred you to the Headmaster so that he could use his divination skills to make sure that you are not under the influence of any outside presence without invading the privacy of your mind. You are not under any compulsion here, young man," she said sternly, as she reached out and forcibly removed Andromeda's hand from his shoulder as Andromeda had frozen in place. Andromeda whimpered a little bit before staggering back. "Look at what you are doing to the people around you," Miss Jones scolded Thad. "Even the ones trying to help you. You must learn to control your powers before you do yourself or someone else irreparable harm. Now that you know that it is not compulsory, do you wish to change your mind? Do I have permission to scan your surface thoughts or not?"
scan stuff:It's not really much of a rules thing. No save since he would be voluntarily agreeing to it. Just a quick glance through his mind to see if there is anything out of place. Mostly double checking to make sure that there isn't anything there that doesn't belong there. It would take a deeper scan to get into the whole mindscape thing.
Thad shrugs, then looks back up at Andromeda again, before looking back at Miss Jones. "Uh, sure. You can-- I get you want to help, but I'm fine. If I was alone in this room with just you, I might not be."
Thad thinks, and nearly blurts out at one point, >>I can't believe that I'm hanging out with these two. Okay-- think good thoughts. No naked girl thoughts. Does she see images or words? that's weird. Telepaths. Those a*~@**&s just ditched me, whatever. That freak fled, guess that's good. Wonder what I'm eating for dinner later on. Hopefully there's nothing bad going on here-- not sure I could finish her classes, but, like I have a choice.<<
He certainly doesn't have any 'negative' thoughts, and she'd notice he doesn't appear to have any thoughts related to morality either-- that's not to say he's a cold hearted killer, or sociopath, but more, he likely just doesn't get that 'fear' is bad. In his mind, anything glowing, i.e. having emotions, is good. Just a different hue on the fantastical spectrum of lights atop the world below.
He's got some form of psychometry, based on sight, well above any normal measure from invoking a psionic ability, but it does seem he lives with a duality of vision that would greatly impair him in various social and educational ways.

"I am amending your assignment, Thad," she said crisply. "You will turn in that essay on ethics and enchantment in two weeks time. No later. In the meantime, I am signing you up for emergency sessions with Professor Shiro. How you managed to reach this advanced age without any understanding of good and bad, or even positive and negative, is a mystery. But it cannot continue. You were hurting Miss Sunwake. As, from her description, it sounds like you were hurting this other student. The wards didn't place you in detention because you don't understand the ramifications of your actions or of how they affect others. That does not mean you can continue in this manner. Given time, practice, and proper teaching you should be able to manage to be around other people more easily. You and Miss Halliwell should get on well together as neither of you possesses the slightest iota of magical or psionic talent, and yet neither of you can stay out of the emotions of others. None of this means that your ability is in any way bad, if that's what you think I am saying. It simply is. And you must learn to use it in a way that does not cause pain to those around you. People always expect empaths to be so sensitive," she added shaking her head. "If only that were true. Very well, you are dismissed. Go and report to the infirmary. They'll let you know there when your appointment will be."

"Okay. Great. No nasty things in the head. Glad to hear it," she said weakly. "Now I gotta go find Tryko'Sam and make sure he's okay too. Except he's not. And after a round with Thad, I totally get why not. I'm just gonna go," she said, pointing behind her towards the door and promptly not using it.
The first place she went fortunately took no outside time at all. As usual she found herself right at the heart of the maze, next to the fountain, outside of Time. She was waiting there, her golden eyes full of understanding. But if you asked Andromeda later what she and her Patron had talked about, she wouldn't be able to tell you. She never could. She just found that she knew things later on.
Once she was calm again, she stepped back into time, and teleported after Tryko'Sam/
The time it takes her to step out and back in to time is barely a fraction of a second, so from a real-time perspective, she just teleported away. No one but her experienced the moments in between.

"I don't want to be nothing," Ginni whispered. "Even if it hurts, I still want to exist. I won't give up. I won't." She tried to reach out and grab the demon-her who had spoken, like she had done before, but this one jumped back out of her reach, while the other two took swipes at her. She shrieked as much in surprise as in pain as their nails hurt her.
As soon as Ginni is hurt, the psychic wounds simply vanish. Phaezeriel's psychic healing flows into her through his hand on the pillar behind him. Along with it comes a wordless reminder not to underestimate the demon.

He shifts slightly in place, robe flowing along with his movement and showing flashes of the neumerous scrolls in his pockets, along with silver and cold iron trinkets of all sorts."I've been told to try and... Tolerate... Infernals. However, when people hide from me, I can only assume the worst."

Thad kind of nods and shrugs, the typical teen response perhaps or a combination of that and his manner of 'seeing' the world. "Well, okay I guess- you're the authority here. If I did hurt her, or that other guy, I --." He stops talking after that thought. He moves to stand up and leave since being in here without Andromeda around-- who does her stepping backwards and vanishing, would start to hurt him.

Appearing after the Thad scenario gets resolved, Andromeda re-enters normal reality near Tryko'Sam, who does a double take at her instant appearance, and then chuckles once. He seems 'calm'.
With a quick scan around the area, she would see a small crater off to the side, where a few edge of the forest saplings were felled, snapped and the like-- along with a boulder that appears out of place, given the scenery. Depending on good her ability to track is, from that area of 'destruction', are foot steps leading up to where Tryko'Sam sits now.
The grassy knoll he's atop has a bit of a view of the grasslands around him, this isn't near Avalon for sure, and the temperature would suggest being a bit more 'southward' from the normal grounds the school is in. They could be anywhere, where there's grass and hills, with a forest within a short distance and mountains a short distance past those forests.
Tranquil looking 'bison' creatures roam, far away from the crater and all, keeping their distance.
Tryko'Sam's outfit is ripped- he's clearly not a liar, and just a 'shorts' like portion remains up to one point, while the upper torso covering is a barely holding together tattered and torn garb at this point. It appears to have various rips and dust, mostly on the back.
"Hey there. Have a seat-- nice view. Kinda peaceful." He gives a slight twitch at the word.

The barriers get set up as required, and almost as if on cue, Holo-Mel stops playing her guitar and wanders over to where the barriers are in place.
she sits on the floor nearby and starts to doodle on small chalkboard. she then sets it down on the ground so it can be seen. and she backs away a few paces and sits on the floor again, she is playing with her sonic device hoping that they get the idea.
the chalkboard has pictures of stick figures that seem to represent everyone there. it shows the one that looks like Arthur pointing something at the set-up and the numbers 6784 are written over his head.
it appears that she knows that the barriers are in place but is unable to communicate anything else.

Demon-Ginni laughed in unison. "Oh, I don't think so. I think we're just going to tear you apart and take what we want," she taunted, lunging at Ginni who scrambled back.

Her emotions, like most of her powers, are placed under powerful seals. If those seals are off, then she is very, very dangerous. There's a whole story there and it started to come out during Treisdan's story arc. He kicked off her current difficulties maintaining those seals when he discovered her real name. But since that player is no longer around, I'm not sure when or even if all of Miss Jones's story will come out. So, short answer, from Thad's viewpoint she has no emotions. If that ever changes, you're dealing with what's under all those seals and that is not at all a good idea.:)

Demon-Ginni laughed in unison. "Oh, I don't think so. I think we're just going to tear you apart and take what we want," she taunted, lunging at Ginni who scrambled back.
Meanwhile the third demon-Ginni who had been defeated but not absorbed flew across the landscape of Ginni's mind, heading straight for the pillars.
Phaezeriel shakes his head slightly in denial, gestures with a hand, and all the Ginnis hear his thought, ::Lost.:: The one running toward the pillars disappears.
Using a psionic version of Maze.
Int check 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Yep, she is totally lost....One of the demon-Ginni's was chasing after Ginni and Ginni was barely staying a step ahead of her, too preoccupied with not getting shredded by those ridiculously sharp claws to notice that the second one had disappeared.
Meanwhile the second demon-Ginni had taken advantage of Phaezeriel being distracted sending the third one into the maze to teleport to Ace's pillar. She laid a hand on it and it started to glow red.
Ace, make a Will save at a -8

you remember Mel sent you another sonic device like the one she uses.
You also have some basic instructions on its use, and learned how to adjust the various settings on it.
the drawing seems to indicate to use the sonic device to activate the shields and to open the rift just enough to get the device through.
the numbers are probably the setting for the sonic device programming.

Phaedra frowned. "What does happy have to do with anything? I am a firebird of the noble house Svarog. I have a responsibility to uphold the standards of my people and bring honor to my house. I cannot compromise those values," she said haughtily.

Well, that'll do then. :)
Ace can feel the compulsion worming its way into his mind through his connection to Ginni, but this time he is able to resist it. He isn't sure exactly what would have happened if he hadn't, but he has a very bad feeling about it.
Ginni's Mind
"Oh, no, you don't!" Ginni screamed in rage as she felt the attempted spell go off through her connection to Ace. She suddenly blinked across the landscape to land right next to the demon-Ginni who was next to Ace's pillar. The silver mist around her coalesced into claws and her small wings grew larger until it was impossible to tell which one was demon-Ginni and which one was Ginni. "I don't care what lie you are! I will tear you apart if I have to! You keep your dirty claws off of my boyfriend! Even if he is a jerk sometimes, that doesn't mean you get to touch him!" she screamed, grabbing a hold of demon-Ginni's hair and yanking it hard in order to pull her away from the pillar.

Phaedra Svarog |

"Lucas!" she squealed and hugged him. Not at all the reaction he would have gotten at home, but it had been several days since he saw her last. Apparently long enough for a visit from her brother to be considered a good thing instead of a pain. "You know how many times Mama told us that we weren't supposed to associate with non-firebirds," she said reprovingly, answering his question. "It's not like I don't talk to anyone. There's Ignace. But the only other firebirds in my class are way younger. I'm just doing what I'm supposed to," she said firmly. And if her lip trembled a little bit because she was very near to crying, well, it had been a very trying week.

After his newfound companions leave he busses the trays to their designated location. He then uses his newfound ability to teleport at will to take himself to one of his sources of pride and renews work on the repair and construction of his ship.. He thinks to himself as he uses the glass melting furnace to create mirrors of the proper reflective quality, backing each with melted down golden feathers buffed so bright that you could use them to count flies and spiders on the ceding... Huh 9, that's more than yesterday, Hmm this ship really needs a name, but you aren't supposed to change the name of a vessel once it's been named so it needs to be a good one.. Bah, I guess I can decide on that when I finish the dang thing. Maybe tybalt has an idea.. I should ask him later he nods and begins poring the glass into a mould to make the full body mirrors for his new "Pride room" as he liked to call it. A special place for him to go to when he wants to be more in tune with his patron.
It currently contained some of his trophies, his guitar, a couple spell books and notes for the song he's been trying to write for the past few days. In a couple hours he'll have the place lined with mirrors and etched in gold. Good enough work for a day or so. As he gets to work on the next one his mind wanders again eating lunch with those new guys was enjoyable, I really liked andromeda, and Tykro was a bit vacant but at least he was nice to look at, could probably grate cheese on those abs. Maybe that's what I need to get out of this funk I'm in, get back on the horse as it were and get into a new relationship. But who with. Well if I want eye candy there's plenty to choose from, but that's boring so that chucks some out a lot of people. Who should I approach on this, well there's tybalt, on the plus side the boy was certainly very cute, and oddly feminine, so sweet it makes his teeth hurt and he has a good sense of humor, he's even fairly magically strong, and quick to please. On the other hand... I like having him as a friend. One of his only friends. And after the whirlwind disaster of his last "true love" biz... He didn't want to risk that... Maybe if he had more friends he could give it a shot... But for now he's going to reconsider that for later. Maybe, no she's taken... So's he... And him too...her I could seduce if I wanted to break up that relationship but that's an a$&%##$ move.... Andromeda's cute, smart too and apparently strong enough to be champion of time, and a dragon so that's a plus... On the con side I know very little about her... I suppose I could learn similar thoughts occupy his mind as he makes mirrors and pours his champion power into them.

The quivering lower lip turned into a full blown crying fit at this point. "That's not fair!" she wailed. "You always do this! You don't listen to the rules and just do what you want and then make it seem like you're the good one! Why am I in the wrong for doing what Mama told me? And it's easy for you! You all get to stay together. You can see everybody whenever you want. But you're the only one who's come to see me since we got here! And it took you a whole week to remember me! Even Lily's lectures are better than this," she bawled. Anything she said after that was unintelligible through the sobs.

He pats her on her head sadly as he clutched her to his breast. He switches to ignan, thinking that she'd prefer the more noble spoken tongue of her home instead of the common tone of the world below. Espically considering their audience "I did not forget you. I could never. I sent Icarus. I believe it was twice that he came. You were 'hanging out' with Ignace at the time. I would have come earlier, but... Given Lilly's reactions I thought you would prefer your space.. I am so sorry"

She can barely breathe through the hiccuping sobs that shook her body. It took her at least three tries to get all the way through saying, "I just want to go hoooome."

Lang stood there as the awkward outsider for a bit and soon the conversation switched languages.
Lang sensed that no introduction was forthcoming. and the rest off to the infirmary, lang gathered his things and started to head toward his picnic area. Sun had soon joined him and what was originally gonna be dinner with friends soon became a dinner with just Sun.
I hope that I wasn't like that in my past. he muttered as he went to eat.

"There's a bunch of us who can do that," she said with a shrug. "I always could, so sometimes I forget that other people can't. And I'm doing alright now. I took a time out, so to speak, to center myself after I took Thad to see Miss Jones. I got a big hit of emotional whammy doing that. I can totally see why you needed to get out of there. He's just a clueless kid and he doesn't know what he's doing, but that didn't make me want to punch him any less. But he's the teachers' problem now. He's getting all kinds of extra lessons to learn to control his powers."
"Speaking of, I need to take you to see Miss Jones too. I think you've got a passenger in your head. Not sure if it's just peeping through or actually in residence, but I'm pretty sure it isn't good for you. No need to rush, but I figured you'd want to know. You strike me like the kind of person that would want that crap cleared out," she said, absent-mindedly picking blades of grass and tearing them up before dropping them.
Watching the falling blades of grass, and their parts as Andromeda does what she does, it might be in that split instant that she realizes that his attention isn't immediately on what is said by her.
After snapping his attention back to her, he says, "I ... don't like mental tampering. I have to trust the person intimately or something. I don't think anything is wrong with my mind-- besides the usual memory loss from brain damage and such. Lose some brain cells, or a big chunk, lose some memories. I usually rebuild fast, but I got broken over an ..." he shudders a moment while closing his eyes, "Repeatedly. It was beyond anything I can remember as ... bad. Even the long black space trip wasn't this bad."
Then he looks off again, either agitation or something, gnawing at him.
Sense Motive DC 15 if you'd like more details.
DC20: He seems to want to break something-- and it has to do with the topic.
DC25: Lack of control, lack of being full of his own memories, perhaps the nature of his being, plus all the things, he's a powder keg just waiting to blow up. Being distracted, (from what she recalls about his recent sharing) is probably the only thing that's been staving that off.

Lucas holds her to himself and rubs her back in a soothing manor, his body heat deliberately increased by several degrees as he hums her a lullaby that their parents would have played for them.
Despite his closed eyes he projects telepathically to Lang :;please be patient with her. She's been through a lot:: his words are followed by a pause that was probably supposed to contain words but instead contained a fierce feeling of protectiveness equating death to anyone who harms his sister.
