"If I'm making things, i want to make useful things. There's no point to sculptures."
"Well there are other things too. Sculpture was just an example. You could make weapons or armor by melting metal into shape."
He removes his coat and hangs it on the nearby tree.
"Heh. You look kinda funny when you're all full of water like that."
"We have plenty of those. If i was to make something, it would be better to make things that this place doesn't have many of. Like staves, or rings."
he enters a semi-humanoid from, but it looks almost like his human form is melting.
"Yeah, i should expel the extra water by the end of the night."
"Staves could be cool. Easier made of glass than a ring is. You could get some glass tubes and work magic into them. I wonder if a water bender could use you as a weapon like that, or if the water would just get pulled out."
"Yeah, i could, maybe do staves... What's a waterbender?"
"A Bender is someone who uses natural energy in the body to manipulate what some consider to be the four basic elements: fire, water, earth, and air. Of course these aren't actual elements. You never hear anyone talk about cobalt or tungsten benders."
He laughs at his own nerd joke.
"huh, oh," he tries to answer her questions in order "yeah I guess, we went to the sun a little while back, uh the small one with the firebirds, not the big one out in space, before that me and some of my other friends, like midori over there" he points at her "fought a giant sea monster, Lang wasn't there for that one though, he was busy, anyway my name is Grim Jr., nice to meet you I guess?" he raises one eyebrow wondering why she's acting funny.When Sara mentions about the fire a couple of the villagers that came offer to keep an eye on the fire and those that are resting.
One of the villagers is the same little girl that kept following Grim around earlier when they arrived. and brought food.
she goes to grim Are you going with Lang? I'll bet you've been on lots of adventures with lang. What's your name? My name is Kay. she looks to have found teh courage to talk to Grim.
she still has trouble looking him the eyes though.
the little girl is amazed at Grim. wow, you must be very brave and strong. she seems to idolize him as some sort of hero.

Lang approaches Sun, I hope everything is alright back at the school.

There is an awkward silence for a moment unless Roel wants to say something.
For the past minute after you've gotten out of the water, the fins and things Kevin had adapted in the water, have shrunk back down into him. His form become less streamlined and his stomach and limbs fill back out. He doesn't seem to have noticed.
"So what now?"
"Uh... Not sure. What do you usually do?"
roel doesn't even give the changes a second thought.

Tybalt steps out of the way and gestures inside.
The rooms interior is odd to say the least.
The room is lit by three mismatched electric chandeliers. The desk at the back has a forest of jewelry trees with each being overly full. Jericho is curled up on a cushion here. Under the desk is a basket of sewing supplies and a folded plastic table. A purple gummy bear statue the size of a taxidermized bear sits in the corner next to the bathroom door. On the other side of that door is a large wooden wardrobe with one door open.
There is a fireplace in the middle of the right wall that burns cold. There is one bed, used and with a few odd feathers of a strange color that glint in the light. Where the other bed would be is a pile of soft miscellanea, a few feat high. There is shag carpeting in the wild half of the room and three different wallpapers, plaid, Paisley, argyle. The other half with the bed is the default Avalon style. Between the bed and cushions is a nightstand with a metal stand something grapefruit size would sit on.
"I'll turn the cold down
When she presents him with the cake he covers his mouth with one paw for a moment, then throws an arm around Mel and Arthur each, careful not to smash the cake.
"It's great. I love it. So much. Thank you.
He sounds very happy about it, as he tries to ignore the grabbing-a-hot-pan feeling Arthur gives without a shirt in between.
He let's them go.
"Here, just let me uh,..."
He starts to go through his pocket, pulling out three plates of different patterns and three pure silver forks.
"Let's see if it tastes as good as it looks. How big a piece do you want?"
A funny gesture with his hand summons a knife made of ice.(ice knife)
the bed with the strange feathers is queen sized with a gold head and foot-board, studded with precious and semiprecious gems sort of a midnight purple silken sheets with a small green crystalline pedestal off to one side and a large mahogany chest on the other side.
Arthur smiles softly at the interaction between Melody and Tybalt. he chuckles when he is hugged when he is released he goes and leans against the door frame and answers "just a small piece for me, thanks,"| 1 person marked this as a favorite. |

when he cuts the pieces Mel will bring Arthur his slice to him.
however as she does so, she seems to "stumble" and ends up planting the cake slice right into Arthur's face.

Kay is maybe a little older than Sara but not by much. and seems to really taken a shine to Grim.

Lang listens to her. then loks back at Zilla, Zilla, what hapened? Lang is seriously concerned about the state Zilla was found in.
He also is wondering about the other statement the starseed said about wanting to see him, but that isn't as important as finding out what happened to Zilla.
Grim starts coughing "wait what?"
Kay just smiles, I'm gonna be your girlfriend, unless you don't like me she looks like you just sent an emotional dagger right through her heart. Kay is about to cry.
She looks over at the being in the tree.
"Is it well?
a puzzled look on her large elf face.
tarka starts laughing at grim's predicament, enjoying the show.

mad'am Zanira read the clouds, and she said that when the Avatar returned to our village, I would meet someone special. and when I saw you, I just knew you were the one.

tarka's laugh dies down to a dim chuckle.

"Hi Grim. It's nice to meet you Kay." Zilla responds bowing slightly to Kay. "Where's Hew? There you are!" She calls out looking around for him. Quickly she walks over to him. "Jerk!" She calls out then slaps him hard enough that the sound echos. "How dare you kill me! And don't make excuses like it wasn't me cause I know that but it was still your face and I can't slap them!" She continues yelling out until she finally reaches out and hugs him. "I was so scared! I thought they might try to kill you too!" She continues.
Hew stands there wide eyed and unsure of how to respond. When she finally pulls away from the hug he flinches back. At which Zilla asks "Why are you backing up?"
Hew replies with a slight embarrassed tone. "I thought you were going to hit me again."
Alreenneesha has a puzzled look on her face at the actions of those around her.
Tybalt cuts the cake as requested, taking about a quarter of of it for his plate.
"Things happen when people make things happen." He winks at Mel as he says this.
"I dunno. Whatever's left usually. I might save some. Bathrooms in there if you want a mirror."
He points to the door next to the giant plastic gummy bear.
"This is really good. Thanks Mel."
When the Star Seed first approached, with both Zilla and Sun, Midori relaxed slightly, her hand coming away from the shuriken holster. She knew that Kami were inscrutable beings... and while this didn't necessarily look like any Kami she had ever heard of, she thought it was best not to chance it.
Midori bows deeply and respectfully to Alreenneesha upon their approach. And straightens after a few moments (and Zilla's tirade aimed at Hew).
The memory of Zilla running off in the rain was still burned bright in Midori's mind, and she averts her eyes from the scene until it clicks that something wasn't quite right. Did... did Zilla just say Hew had killed her? That didn't make any sense.
Confused, and a little overwhelmed, Midori stays quiet and to the side, still maintaining a respectful posture towards Alreenneesha.
"Then you understand why she doesn't want to speak to you right now."
"So I'm going to ask you the question she's dying to know the answer to. Why did you do it? You had to know nothing good would happen to her. Why did you chain her to that rock so Aegythrax could take her? How do you justify that so you can sleep at night?"
"What were we supposed to do?" comes a strangled reply from Vai's birth mother, who is fighting tears more and more as Aananda speaks. She is shaking with emotion as she speaks. "We hadn't the resources to fight a dragon, and he told us if we fled the village that he would hunt us down." the woman's voice broke, but she continues after a moment. "And.. if we don't sleep well at night. We haven't since the first day that monster came to our village."
Aananda can feel her adoptive daughter's grip tighten on her clothing, and Vai retreats behind her, unable to continue looking at her birth parents.

Regardless of what happens, Tybalt cuts Arthur another slice of cake.
"Well.. No, I'm not. I saw him briefly but he was busy. A crisis in a town or something.."
"You have a room here and everything so you enrolled at the school right? Have you talked to the Headmaster?" she asked Pyry.
"Oh. Well....maybe another teacher can help? There's supposed to be classes in the morning and you should probably get signed up before then so you know where to go...I'm looking forward to it! I have to take some classes with the little kids," she admitted sheepishly. "I know how to read a little, but I don't know how to write or do the things with the numbers...I wasn't exactly allowed much in the way of schooling," she added with a shrug.
Nurse Julie goes to close the door but notices Morrivan's friends out there.
she motions for them to come in once the doctor has left.
Nurse Julie also takes a seat.
I'm afraid I was not here during the tragedy that occured yesterday. I guess I have no right to really offer much assistance. but I figured that at least with friends nearby, there is hope that not everything is lost.
She sits next to Morrivan. I probably will never really know what your going through. but do you think You would like to tell me about what happened? If anything, I'm ready to listen.
Nurse Julie just smiles and tries to be as comforting as possible. hoping that at least with friends present things would go better.
"No. I don't want to talk about it," she said, barely above a whisper.
Because talking about it makes it real. And I really want the last two days to just be a bad dream, she thought.
"I just want to be left alone."
So I don't have to see all of your concerned faces and know that it's not a bad dream.

Arthur takes the (significantly larger) piece of cake and inclines his head then walks in the direction of the bathroom taking a couple bites as he does so. He holds the door open then, almost faster than the eye can catch throws the cake directly at melody. He then ducks into the bathroom locking the door and laughs, before cleaning off his hair in the sink.
Her voice sounds a little confused, "Turned off their sentience? You " With a shriek of rage she launches herself off the table at Nala almost too fast for the eye to follow, metallic claws three times the length of her fingers flashing and reaching for Nala.

Struggling to resolve the conflict between needing to keep the biohazard in a safe location and needing to protect one of its people from harm, parts of the school near the biohazard ward shudder as the floor of the lab flows up with the sound of a landslide. Directly in front of Nala there is a claw-tipped arm extending out of a rock bubble. Jessa's evil twin's voice can be heard clearly swelling rhapsodic on the topic of all the horrible things to which she is going to subject Nala as soon as she is loose.
"Seventy-two unique threats," Nala noted as she took notes, not even flinching at the attempted attack, although the observant person might notice a layer of ice over the stone bubble. "Interesting. I have personal experience with numbers fourteen, twenty-five through twenty-nine, forty-one, and sixty-three through seventy. And five isn't really a threat. I'm immune. You're not going to scare me, you know. More inventively cruel people than you got there first. Let me know when you're done with this little temper tantrum," she added in a bored tone.
