Two things:
1) My brother, who is playing Artha Cid, aka the heavy blades teacher, lacks a laptop currently. He's had to loan his out to our mom, so he borrows mine or posts from his phone when able. However, he also recently started working at a new bar, so he doesn't have as much free time to post as he would like.
2) I was thinking of making an NPC, possibly a Gnome, who would own a bar down in Kuros.
While I know classes/levels for an NPC aren't that important, there's an Oracle mystery that could be just spectacular for him: the Wine mystery.
He's going to also be part councilor/advisor. I recently got Inner Sea Gods, and Cayden Cailean's priests abhor bad drunks and alcoholics, and sometimes will use minor magicks to help such overcome whatever depression or series of bad events has caused them to be so miserable.
Of course, as Cayden is also the patron of adventurers, he would support such and likely also help fund the school, in the hopes that at least a couple of students might eventually take up his patron's lifestyle.

So, pretty much, Lyn/Dalesman/DB3 (the main GMs) now have the option to drop the Empire hammer whenever they want, the wards ARE going to fail... it's just that we don't know when.
Am I reading this right?
You still haven't answered the question of why you're so interested/scared about the wards. Do tell, Grasshopper....

I don't get any extra SLA's due to my status, just what is possibly the best spellcasting class in the game.

2. Well, then, go ahead. Add some background and color to the game, please, feel free. I have been trying to encourage all of you to spend more time providing story hooks for each other (hey, and me too...I can admit it isn't an entirely unselfish request) and take a more active role in making the game. Thanks for asking to make sure you're not duplicating anyone else's efforts (you're not) and go right ahead and run with this.

I hope you feel better soon. In this case I rather hope that it is bronchitis as that is relatively quickly and easily treated. If it is mono, then you should be prepared to endure illness more frequently in the future, unfortunately. At least that's my observation of those that have it. It really does a long-term number on people who get it as teens or adults. I was fortunate enough to be exposed to that virus as an infant and it is much less severe when you're that young, so mono is one thing I don't have to worry about at least....it's just everything else I catch. Had a fun case of food poisoning over the weekend. Well, actually, my whole family did. We're all doing better now. But won't be wanting barbecue again for a while. :(

I do actually expect most if not all players to run stuff for their fellows. Even if it's just a few NPCs and a mini-arc here and there. And I am really happy that Dami has really stepped up to that challenge. And also kudos to Ed for rising to the challenge with a mini-arc and the Nurse Julie NPC. And Magic has been great about providing background NPCs as well. Not to say that the rest of you aren't doing well, just wanted to give a little pat on the back to some people who have been putting forth effort and could use some appreciation. :)
And FCD is more than semi-official as far as I'm concerned. This game is too big for one person to wrangle by themselves, and when DB3 and Dalesman were not so available due to real life, he really stepped up and helped me run the game. He may not have been part of the group that initially wrote the setting canon, but he's definitely contributed to a lot of it since then and is someone that I trust to make an emergency ruling in my absence.

As of now I don't actually have anyone waiting in the wings that I know of as far as the Champion stuff goes. Have to have Dave's Patron let him know that he's been drafted, and did forget to add Ana to the list (oops, thought I did that in the last edit) but I genuinely didn't have anyone that I remember for that spot...had a brief thought of giving it to Keme after his speech to Tybalt, but after the character literally died to get out of being a Champion, I doubt he'd willingly go back to it even for a different Patron. :)
