The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

Just offering suggestions and support.

Like I said before, life is choice -- rock on.

Hey, I'm pretty happy with Vakkler's current character growth. If I wanted, I could easily Trickster Mode-style skip past his struggles, but what fun would that be? ;D

Good Kobold!

I for one, appreciate your rigid sense of maintaining discipline. Plus-- more spikes in guts /might/ help. Fear is a great motivator. As is pain.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Why is Squeaky living a suspicious omission?

Also LA By Night has been spectacular so far, but alas wifi is $10 per day n right now ain't payin that so only internet is via cell.

Mostly teasing, but IC it could be seen as suspicious that Ace's animal there 'luckily' survived the attack, and was the only one out of dozens. No need to defend yourself OOC, but could raise suspicions.

Well, change has to make sense. As things stand, Vakkler has been struggling to find the balance between discipline and cruelty since the Dacamara incident. He's not going to make friends with any students anytime soon. ;)

Incident... Making me snap and try to murder you slowly...

Same difference.

Wait... does Vakkler follow this religion of the kobolds? Cause... it would not be healthy for Vai to have people worshipping her... O_O

Oh, i have plans....

Vai's heal check is to see the status of the burns: are they healing properly? Etc.

DC15 is First Aid, so she made the baseline DC for this stuff: though just to see if it's healing should probably only be DC5ish.

All I have time for right now.

alcohol is water based. Mostly water, really.

Flaws good, provides conflict and eventual resolution, one hopes. Just avoid, IMHO, being too riddled with woes, unyielding, issue prone characters, no bueno.

Anyway, just rambling. I'm fairly sure you know what you're doing.

Well, he's not as devout about it as most of his race--just like he's not as evil as most of his race. That's why he's not worshiping Ephebe, the only dragon he knows for sure about.

But his IC knowledge is hilariously limited, so it's hard to be sure. If he finds out a chromatic dragon is at the school...well, it might make things uncomfortable for both parties. ;D

Are you breeding capable? No experience necessary! Stud duties are free! And typically enjoyable with the right stimulation.

:zips around prepping the rush:

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

I'm really not entirely sure if Tybs /would/ be fertile or not.
Catfolk are short lived, so he would mature a lot sooner.
He still has hair, so his body progresses normally day to day, it's just long term things that stopped/were greatly slowed. Aging, puberty and such.
He stopped just before his growth spurt, but that doesn't mean it stopped before he became able to breed.
The day it happened, he was technically an adult by catfolk standards.
Hmm...

If anything does come of the whole Dustscale thing (waiting for Lynora's word on whether that's legit or not), there might be some fun to be had there. ;D

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

It would be irony coming full circle.

Adulthood in D&D terms is usually the 'fully able to breed' age.

Humans are listed as adults at 15 - that's typically the age that both male/female bodies are ready to spread seed/bear children.

I think the bigger things with Tybs is that... awkward to say, his seed might need a nice cold place to... germinate. If you get my meaning. >_>

OMG.

Just draw a picture, so much easier!

Words, phhhfffpttt!

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

That part is something I had thought of. And if there were any frozen people that weren't male(Dave, Pyry,), this might be a bigger issue.

Tybalt Baneko wrote:

Polymorph, silly!

Magic makes anything possible!

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

Gender wise, yes.
When we do the next time skip after this one, Tybs is going to make his Greater Hat of Disguise.
Depending on how long the skip is, it's possible that I may add a couple things to it.
Hat of Disguise 3.0, if you will.
Plus I need to make a new refrigerator amulet. Whenever I get time for that.
Busy catfolk is busy.

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

Just a couple more notes.
The catfolk that I have been playing Tybs as is far more cat like than the traditional pathfinder catfolk.
Real cats are able to "get funky" as early as a year old, so with the human aspect pushing this up considerably, I have decided that Tybs is fertile.
I stated that Tyb's powers go away if he polymorphs the ice away. This not only leaves him with a glaring weakness but also leaves his major problem open to much abuse. Realizing this, I'm changing the story a bit so that the ice is persistent, no matter what form he takes or is changed to.

Hey Icehawk, could you explain in detail more about this:

Adon Derro wrote:

"Hay, guess what vai. It's someone's life... Or some words coming out of your mouth becoming false. Make your choice."

as far as you can tell, he /still/ doesn't give a ****

Specifically the last part, about 'as far as you can tell'.

Is he Bluffing? Is he completely Apathetic and even a simple DC5 Sense Motive can sense this?

I'd like some more details, because if you are /are/ Bluffing, I'm asking for you to roll, Anahita has a Sense Motive that peels paint at 200 feet, let's make sure you can beat that. :)

I'm not even aware of what Vai's Sense Motive is, but assuming automatic success in hiding emotions is ..uh, not right.

Thanks.

Oh, kitty fur face, why are you so self-inducing in the pain and suffering?

Is that so important? We could just restart your existence, you know? Make you a sexy tall Elf, like Ehos, and go around swooning the boys and girls!

Would you like that? :D

Eh? Sure. He's not really trying to bluff.

He's just doing his best not to care himself.
So there.

So there.

So, he /does/ care, but is hiding it? or ignoring it? or doesn't care? I'm kind of confused.

Best not to care suggests he does-- what's he doing? or feeling?

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

....
He cares, in a way, but his care is swallowed by a black hole of jaded apathy.

So....
He cares, but he doesn't want to, and as such ignores it.
Geez, i hate sense motive sometimes. Makes you explain too much about your charecter.

Probobly just me being really tierd.

See? Insight is good.

And that's why people dedicate ranks to skills that help.

Thanks for the info, much better than what you wrote, imho, and goes a TON further explaining things for people who /notice/ such without out right dismissing their abilities.

Plus, it really did read like you were Bluffing (hiding your emotions) or acting (which might be the same).

Cheers.

Weeelllll... Doesn't matter if that's your choice, but, considering sentient species being typically the ones actively making that choice, or not, no biggie.

Kind of a concern if that's all there is, but, non-issue. Indifferent.

Ooooo, newts!

I probably made Jivana's friggin' year then!

Not sure a Patron's good graces is worth the silent treatment/death threats from Dad though...

Female Kobold

Vakkler is actually fairly homophobic for similar reasons. Kobolds see marriage as a practical affair, Fiddler On The Roof-style. A match that won't produce new community assets is a waste of time. ;D

Shadow Lodge

You know, I actually had something very similar come up in a role play, KC.

My character(referred to as R) was gay, and thus the black sheep of his family. Much more so than usual, actually, because his family was being hunted down my mages and slaughtered.

My explanation for this was simple: imagine a village that' stole defense against their enemies was their numbers. Now imagine that one person in that village is homosexual, having no interest in women. He can't increase the numbers of the village further, so he's all but ostracized.

Just so yas know DB3, Vai is searching for Belyu!

Shadow Lodge

64 posts for me to read, and one reply to Vakkler at least. I'll go to the game thread now. :)

I'm back

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

Hi DK. :)
Good to see you back.
Renkai is off being renkai.
Your doctor received a very thorough verbal lashing from Nala.
Tybs and Dave are looking over the sapphire that WoM left, arcane sight, true sight, analyze dewomer.
Triesdan... I'm not sure what triesdans doing...
Yrrin is still in the cafe and hasn't been adressed.
Sorun's team technically won the chess match because Sara tipped her king because they needed to stop and watch Hew.
Kizmets could be thoroughly entertained by watching Lewis try to right a chair he knocked over with his tiny arms.

Grushdeva du kalt misht

Thanks for the sum up. Will have yrrin post....

Renkai is in cafe as well....
