The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

I was kinda expecting him to get frozen over in an instant ice hockey rink or have a snake fall on the poor guy. But it was nice. And unexpected. Was I the only one predicting something bad happening?

Yep Johnny did, IF Ty had not left Johnny would have done some other thing.

let's just go with I left and happened to come back right after. It occurs to me that he would've freakes out much worse if he had seen him shoot johnny.

Not while he was feeding the birdies.

Human being Game Master and all round good egg

No it was ok he shoot Johnny

Also it was not really PvP, Johnny would not have hurt the thug, or fight back, Johnny 'wanted' a reaction, Johnny just did not expect one that painful.

Undetand me and WoMs have been talking v PM about what WoMs should offer Johnny, we both knew what was going on v interaction before hand. As I said I like WoMs as a 'bad guy' I know the PC may not in truth be good or bad, but actions leeds other PCs to think not always, that which is true.

Speed yep could have done with less,

long posts
Needs more cow bells AKA spoilers

I am OK with johnny getting shot. Tybs not so much. Had he seen that it would've been much more confrontation and a lot less being sneaky and waiting for the hand shake.

Now I have to wonder if the people who wrote Tybalt's class actually understood the mechanics of damage reduction...

Third party publication, 'nuff said.

Alright, I think DB3 has the right of it (though the way it's worded leaves alot to be desired). The DR, as usual, only applies to physical attacks... however, any damage from one of the other sources which is also applied with that attack overrides the DR.

Essentially, cold, fire and electricity in that list are treated kind of like 'materials' to overcome DR. Which means that Tybs' DR still does not apply to regular elemental attacks.

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

I thought warlock was a simple, cool magic class that works well as a telespazzer rogue. Adon can help when he gets on. He help make Tyb.

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

Should be a combo of a class that gives you DD, and the Dimensional agility feats.

Ryuzo has Abundant step from monk, and all of the Dimensional Agility feats. The other half of his gestalt is ninja. So, he can flank for himself after the first attack, dealing sneak attack on the rest of them.

It's a pretty sick combo.

Male sorcerer 16 wilder (leader/telepath) 3 elocater 2, thrallherd 1, pyrokineticist 10.

He does have the demensional ajility feets, worlocks can have the shift wizard ability at will

This. I thought dr applied to non magic fire till a little ago, but it never apples to magic.

Monks use fists. And can attack 6 times in a round at 16, I think.

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

Ryuzo uses fists, or claws in his were-mole form.

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

There are were-moles?

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

Adon you told me there wasn't someone who did the dimensional dervish thing here. That's why Tyb exists I wanted it to be something that isn't here already.

I didn't Know there was, sorry.

And overall, you are the only one here who can teleport this much. Oh, and your a cat made of ice in a school filled with firebirds.

Shadow Lodge

Ryuzo versus Tybalt would be a cool(no pun intended) fight. If you could follow it.

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

Don't worry. Ryuzo is more of a staff memeber now than a PC.
He assists Nala and Ephebe with the elementary students as a chaperone.

this is why adon didn't know, espically because he doesn't read the backlogs, not that you asked me for help of course

My point is nothing. My point is your face. My point is mushroom.

Ryuzo is a Zoanthrope (kind of a precursor to lycans).

Have you ever played Bloody Roar? He's basicly Bakuryu.

Female Half-elf Gestalt Sorcerer6/Dragon Disciple9 // Rogue (Swashbuckler)8/Duelist7

Vai is also a dimensional dervish, just so everyone knows. But she went duelist because of Sadie's influence.

We would be crashing through every part of the school. We go flying through the cafeteria land in the lake. Tackle slide into the garden fly through some classrooms. Both of us tackling Bradley in the infirmary. Knock over a couple book shelves on the library. Dissapearing fist to claw fight in the air above the school. Crash through Ryo's office knocking cards everywhere. Fly through Ruby's shop crashing through things. Finish in a random sim room.

Also it would be rather fair. He has monk things and my claws count as silver and magic for DR.

Male Human (Mole Zoanthrope) 16 Monk/Ninja

Don't forget my ninja tricks. Oh, and I'm kinda the Champion of Deception, so you'd be fighting 3 of me at once, mixed in with a handful of mirror images.

It most certainly would not be fair ;)

Hence why he's a staff member now

male human gestalt fighter 15/duelist 9, rouge 5, monk 1

To many stinkin champions... Grumble...

I like the champions it gives people something to work for. Also keeps the stronger players entertained.

Working for it is a delusion. Normally, a character is pre-chosen.

Would this be bad time to mention I have plans for a new Champion? ;)

Yes.

Not always though. maybe Lyn sees a quality in the way the character is played and allows them to be one. You never know.

How do you know you are the 'real' Champion of Deception?

Deception could be lying

Lol

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Basically this. It's about who fits into the role best.

But there are an ever decreasing number of spots available so a lot of the Champion stuff has become more back-burner so as not to annoy those who don't have one. It still comes up from time to time but it's not driving the main plot as much now. More smaller tangential plots.

Also, most of the Champions right now have become staff members (or are seemingly permanently AFK, like Asch, Amada and Enre).

I think the only active student champions are Vai, Fei and Keme.

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

I think a lot of that comes from players getting championship and then dropping out of play whether they want to or not.

You're on the Internet, what did you expect? :(

Your personality is unique. Go with that. Too much focus on 'powers' as a definer of a person, imho, not worth it. The 'class' isn't defined by your abilities, your personality defines the class' abilities. Because, technically with any class, you can always choose what to do next (depending on rules (light) obviously).

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Kitty is gonna be soooooo pissed at Ana and Ardiente if she finds out what they did....wonder if Ana'a lecture superpower renders her immune to lectures from others....

Well, if you've read the backlogs, the Patron has been mentioned a few times...

Does Kitty think that all the meat in the cafeteria is conjured?

There's a reason Fei still has a job in Materials and Supplies. The food comes in there. ;)
