Hmm. My wife wants to play, so that's 4. I also sent a message to Thron, because he wanted to get into one of my games. So that's probably our five right there. I'm gonna wait on a recruitment thread since it might not be necessary.
Wife's going to play Fidget Pendelton, gnome oradin of Sarenrae. For those not in the know oradin is a build which uses a level of life oracle and the life link revelation combined with levels of hospitaler paladin to turn the character into a party HP battery via lay on hands. She's gonna go for the whole dervish dance thing. Probably do the Guardian mythic path.

Hope you don't mind a few questions mechanics-wise about that build;
-"You may have one bond active per oracle level." Seems like getting at least a few levels of Oracle will be necessary; how much Paladin would she be going?
-"Each round at the start of your turn, if the bonded creature is wounded for 5 or more hit points below its maximum hit points, it heals 5 hit points and you take 5 hit points of damage." Is that a terribly significant amount of damage?
Still handy having a divine caster and hopefully a good player, just curious about your thoughts from that mechanics standpoint.

Hmm, I guess at least a few levels of oracle would need to be thrown in to get the whole party. I was thinking it went off character level. I think her general plan is to be almost all paladin. Probably start out Oracle 1/Paladin 2 and see where it goes from there.
5 HP is not a significant amount at high levels, but at low-mid levels essentially giving people fast healing 5 is huge. The idea is that she'll have healing options that allow her to heal while she keeps fighting. It's not a be all end all, but it's cool. She doesn't need to get a link with everyone, just whichever one or two melee characters/eidolon are getting hit the most.
Thron is in, but he won't have time to make a PC until Wednesday.

Hi everyone! I'll see what happens with my Oracle levels, as Jelani says we may not end up needing more than two or three life links at most. I can always heal the old fashioned way too if necessary.

Hi Fidget, looking forward to playing with you again!
Nathaniel, if you're curious, here's a build guide for the Oradin.
And jelani, I almost asked if we'd be as good of just recruiting from player you know. Sounds like a great group!

Hey Thron, glad you'll be joining in. We're going to be 1 full caster and 3 tough, melee-ish partial casters.
Mythic Paths aren't the only lens to look through, but from that vantage we have a:
- Archmage (witch)
- Archmage dual with guardian or trickster (summoner)
- Champion (inquisitor)
- Guardian? (oradin)
So I'd say something that interests you and goes with the Marshal or Trickster or Heirophant paths. I like Jelani's Zen Archer idea, or an archer Bard/Ranger/Cleric/Paladin, or a Gunslinger, or even a Mad Bomber/Grenadier Alchemist.
if it were me, I think Marshall is a really interesting role and I'd like to get to play it some day...but I don't honestly feel like we have any big gaps right now, except as Jelani says some ranged damage, so feel free to make whatever you think'd be fun.

Yello, Thron, Fidget.
Hmm; given all the not-quite-true frontliners we have (with the exception of my eidolon), I'd love a character who can give us bonuses; a Bard or a Freebooter Ranger or anything else similar.
Ranged damage is a good point.
@Fidget & Jelani- with regard to the healing, you probably don't need a link with all of the party, just those most likely to be in the line of fire- my eidolon, me, Ruarc.

I mean, I honestly think this party will be fine no matter what you play, Thron. But ranged damage would be nice, and Zen Archers are a ton of fun to play. They get a rediculous amount of archery related feats and can do really good damage. That's without even considering Mythic.
You could do a dwarven Zen Archer/Empyreal Sorcerer/Arcane Archer. Have your spells, AC, will save, and to-hit all based off wisdom. Even pick up a useful physical skill based off wisdom with the Wisdom in the Flesh trait. You'd be sturdy, your slow speed offset by monk, etc.
As for SLAs, I go with the current FAQ. Spell-Like Abilities, Casting, and Prerequisites: Does a creature with a spell-like ability count as being able to cast that spell for the purpose of prerequisites or requirements?
That being said, for Arcane Archer make sure whatever race you're using to qualify that cheese has an SLA that's on the wizard/sorcerer list or it will count as a divine SLA.

@Fidget, excellent, I like that she and Poppy are related! (I had my suspicions, based on her name.)
Did Jelani ever mention Hoosible Drybriar, the gnome I played with him and Thron a while back? He was...different in his own way: a sweet, distractible fellow who delighted in dried flowers and dried corpses, and dreamed of one day animating those corpses with Wendo spirits. In the mean time, he wove wreaths and chains of dried flowers to decorate the corpses with.
Sadly, that game ended before he was able to realize his dreams. Which reminds me (Jelani or Thron or Arkwright too, since I know you're a DM as well) if you ever have a game where you think Hoosible would fit in, give me a holler. There aren't too many games with room for a poor, misunderstood gnomish Wendifa, and I still think he'd be a lot of fun to play...

Once you've finished your character crunch completely, please post in the new discussion thread so I can check it over. Once I've checked everyone's alias, I'll open gameplay for posting.
