Pular moves forward as well, gratefully sinking into the shadows of the place. She also looks around for any signs of life, but not just human. She looks for signs of rats, mice or any other rodent whom she may speak with and gain information.

I gave up. This is a bit less nice. North is up. Place yourself in the area you can see and I'll re-work the vision from there.

No, just a rough description will do. Squares are 5ft. When it comes to tactical stuff I'll knock up small section in sheets again.

Arian is guarding Viridi and thus adjacent to her.


Pular will have crossed over to the far wall (where I suspect there are some shadows) and will be holding position there until she sees where everyone else is heading. While there is she able to look into what looks like arrow slots? She will continue to be stealthy.

Everyone is basically outside the church then? The smallest windows are about 5 feet wide, but so dirty as to be basically unusable.

Inching his way to the northern most entrance, Nasir peeks in from behind the north pillar to see if he can see anything inside the monastery.

As you move into the church, you can see North into the main Chapel. A short set of wide ceremonial steps leads down to a cavernous chapel in which the congregants would gather for sermons in happier times. The vibrant orange and red starburst of Sarenrae still stands behind a film of rusted rainwater and dirt along the north wall overlooking the collapsed altar. Between the stairs and the altar stand dozens of old marble benches, many overturned and even more broken into two or more pieces.

A wide walkway bisects the pews, leading directly to the raised altar. Here and there a few clumps of the original red carpet along this thoroughfare hang on against rot and neglect.

Above the center of the chapel, dangling about ten feet from the floor, hangs a cluster of gnoll skulls in various stages of decay. Strung together like a ghoulish candelabra of twine and bone, the boulder-sized ornament hangs from the wooden rafters about twenty feet above the ground.

The "wings" off to the east and west can also investigated if you wish.

Arian points briefly at the skulls with her polearm, wordlessly, and cocks her head to one side as if to indicate surprise that someone else has been hunting gnolls. Then she points to the west and raises a cupped hand, like a question mark, once Nasir looks her way.

Seems like drawing whatever this thing is out into the open could be beneficial since the open space we could use to our advantage.

Nasir whispers to Shiiru behind him, ”Something that can kill gnolls, either a friend or an enemy, but has to be dangerous. Be on guard. I’ll draw whatever it is out.

”Should we all move in together? If we do I will certainly attract the attention of whatever is in their.

Upon seeing Viridi walk straight in to the monastery Nasir will walk in as well. Knowing that he is useless at sneaking, Nasir pauses a moment to allow everyone else to hide themselves before walking in to middle of the monastery.

”You must be fearsome to have killed so many gnolls! Come out and lets discuss the terms of your surrender! You’re clearly intelligent but you are surrounded by a number of capable warriors, give up now and we’ll let you live. You can find another place to live.”

Nasir will heft his greataxe in both hands ready to fight whatever comes out.

Intimdate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Nasir will move to the far side of the pillars from the north entrance.


Pular continues to hide in the shadows. She quietly draws her dagger as she moves further into the building.


Now seems like a sensible time for some init rolls please.

As you enter this area of the church the feeling of dread some of you felt whilst Pugwampi hunting falls over you again. [ooc]The dread aura is in effect, all D20 rolls are now "roll twice, take the lowest".

Other than waiting for someone to point out the Pugwampis since I botched those perception checks, Nasir isn’t to useful in a ranged fight so yeah I’ll hold and see if the thing gets closer.

Shiiru manages again to aim true despite the difficulty seeing the target. A small creature drops from the rafters to thund onto the floor.

Pular sees the small creature fall from the rafters and looks for a way to climb up to where the enemy is hiding.

Will try to climb up to where one of the creatures is but is it possible to do it stealthily?
