Special Abilities:

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Bloodrage (SU) 6/day
The bloodrager’s source of internal power grants him the ability to bloodrage.

At 1st level, a bloodrager can bloodrage for a number of rounds per day equal to 4 + his Constitution modifier. At each level after 1st, he can bloodrage for 2 additional rounds per day. Temporary increases to Constitution (such as those gained from bloodraging or spells like bear’s endurance) don’t increase the total number of rounds that a bloodrager can bloodrage per day. The total number of rounds of bloodrage per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours need not be consecutive.

A bloodrager can enter a bloodrage as a free action. While in a bloodrage, a bloodrager gains a +4 morale bonus to his Strength and Constitution, as well as a +2 morale bonus on Will saves. In addition, he takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class. The increase to Constitution grants the bloodrager 2 hit points per Hit Die, but these disappear when the bloodrage ends and are not lost first like temporary hit points. While bloodraging, a bloodrager cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration.

A bloodrager can end his bloodrage as a free action. When the bloodrage ends, he’s fatigued for a number of rounds equal to twice the number of rounds spent in the bloodrage. A bloodrager cannot enter a new bloodrage while fatigued or exhausted, but can otherwise enter bloodrage multiple times during a single encounter or combat. If a bloodrager falls unconscious, his bloodrage immediately ends, placing him in peril of death.

Bloodrage counts as the barbarian’s rage class feature for the purpose of feat prerequisites, feat abilities, magic item abilities, and spell effects.

Arcane Bloodline

Disruptive Bloodrage
At 1st level, the DC to cast spells defensively increases by 2 for enemies within your threatened area. This increase stacks with that granted by the Disruptive feat.

Indomitable Stance (EX) A steelblood gains a +1 bonus on combat maneuver checks and to CMD for overrun combat maneuvers, and on Reflex saves against trample attacks. She also gains a +1 bonus to her AC against charge attacks and on attack and damage rolls against charging creatures.

Background:

Raised in the Albashar Barbarian tribe of eastern Katapesh, Nasir Al Issaf never fit in with those around him. If you spoke to most in the tribe they would say that Nasir is not fit to be a Albashar warrior. If you spoke to the chieftain, Ik-Jahanshad, he would mumble under his long beard that Nasir cares too much for those around him.

Raised by Ishmael and Serah Al Issaf, Nasir never quiet fit in with the other boys. While the other boys grew up, they focused on sword fighting; serving as warrior for the tribe. Nasir learned to wield sword but never found the connection that the others men of the tribe seemed to exhibit with their weapons of choice.

Nasir found that he would rather care for people than fight, that is until an unfortunate incident. Since Nasir found himself better at speaking than fighting, the tribe couldn’t figure out what to do with him, making him the “diplomatic spokesperson” to the other tribes in the area.

On one trip to a neighboring tribe, as negotiations were underway, Nasir found the entire diplomatic conversation besieged by gnolls. Seeing his warrior dispatch join the gnolls in eradicating the neighboring tribe, Nasir fled. Eventually traversing the desert back to his tribe he confronted Ik-Jahanshad and found that the Albashar had been working with the gnolls to systematically take out every other barbarian tribe in the area.

As someone who abhorred violence for violence’s sake, Nasir was shocked to find the anger welling inside of him. He left in a hurry to track down and find the gnolls tribe responsible for this slaughter.

Tapping in to his anger, Nasir preceded to slaughter every gnoll he recognized from the genocide. In retaliation the gnolls, sent a force to kill the Albashar tribe. When Nasir came back, he found nothing but a flaming wreck, his parents and as near he can tell everyone he ever loved dead.

Uncertain what to do, Nasir found his way to capital city of Katapesh; found life as a tanner. But the anger burned inside of him, that anger was always behind him, so when he heard that the city of Katapesh was attempting to rouse adventurers to take over a town run by gnolls, he jumped at that chance. Any chance to kill more gnolls, to pay them back for what they did.

Appearance and Personality:

Nasir has shaggy medium length brown hair. He is about 6 feet 6 inches and weighs about 230 lbs. When you look at his face, it looks stern and weathered, the sadness compounded by his sunken and grey eyes. He carries a greataxe strapped to his back.

Nasir is quieter than most would expect from a barbarian, and while he was taught how to swing a sword he would rather speak with people. A little kindness goes a long way, except when comes to monsters. Nasir believes that being gentle and kind will get you further in life than, but still reserves a certain amount of anger and rage for those that threaten those that have earned his loyalty and trust.
