Background:
Pular was born in the doomed town of Kelmarane to a litter of 9 pups in 4686 AR. The town was already on its way to being deserted, and 3 years later, the Packmasters departed, taking whatever livelihood there had been with them. With nothing to keep them in their warren, Pular and her pack departed for the big city of Katapesh in 4689 AR.
The great city was already home to several packs, and Pular’s group soon joined the Green Paw Warren, located near the famed Dusk Market. Many of the warren worked at the market, and so Pular was drafted into the Dusk Walkers. For many years she watches and assisted all who came to the Dusk Market, until one day she and her companions found themselves surrounded by a rival pack, the Yellow Tooth. A running battle took place that left causalities on both sides, but the most tragic was the death of Pular’s father. Ratfolk usually do not create very strong bonds with their parents, especially their fathers, but for some reason Pular and her father shared a common bond…the love of knives. It was with his dying breath he revealed a secret to Pular. Hidden in their old warren back in Kelmarane there is a strongbox. Within was some treasure, but more importantly, a pair of daggers rested in an oiled cloth. He pulled the key from his pocket, and with his last ounce of strength, placed it in his daughter’s hand.
With most of the Green Paw Warren destroyed, Pular decided to go and look for her inheritance. She had hear around the market that a group were looking to re-take the town from trespassing gnolls, so she packed her meager possessions and headed out to fined (she hoped) a better life.
