Ruul Spiritskin |
LOL, sorry.
Ruul stops hesitating and joins his companions on the attack!
The bull closes on the thing with a meaty fist.
Punch: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

The Elusive Trout |

Acrobatics, dang it! 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 You clear Ruul, but not the monster. High jumps aren't as merciful as long jumps, and this creature is large...Reflex save is needed to stay on top of the monster. Otherwise, you slide back onto Ruul. And you will be mounted.

The Elusive Trout |

1d100 ⇒ 40
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 261d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 101d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 231d20 + 8 - 5 ⇒ (18) + 8 - 5 = 21
Ruul's attack, whilst strong, doesn't do nearly as much damage as he had hoped. The necrotic flesh of the creature is stiff and strong.
The lithe Manny leaps into the fray and onto the monster due to sheer luck and a bit of improvisation in the air.
The monster lunges, ignoring the smaller creature for the thing that punched it. Several tearing sounds signify its movement, and it sends a mighty elongated arm-braid into Ruul's face before wrapping it around him, pulling him into a fetid embrace.
Ruul ends up eye-to-eye with a stitched face in the torso.
That's ten damage and a grapple, bud.
A pale woman creeps out of the same opening from which emerged "Matcha". She's grinning, and sticks to the walls headed towards the exit.
Sorval says something under her breath and then takes off after Manny, intent on getting an advantageous position against the creature. Due to concerns with her abilities to move, she only gets to its side this round.
Zeltor?

The Elusive Trout |

Ah yes, but first.. Sunny.
Sunny is in no way hindered as she does her odd dance out of captivity. Neither of the men pay her any mind as she attends to Donaon, who is bleeding out on the ground and generally nonresponsive.
Heal check or wisdom check, Sunny. DC to beat is 15.

Zeltor |

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Noticing a pale woman trying to creep away, Zeltor doesn't even break his momentum, turning to focus his fire on her - "Don't even take another step" - he warns, punctuating his intention with two arrows.
Flurry 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Flurry 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Sunny, |

"HAAALP! PLEASE HAAALP!" Suny cries, even as she does her best to tend to poor Donaon. "I needs some HEALIN' HERE!"
Heal Check:1d20 - 2 ⇒ (10) - 2 = 8
Sunny doesn't want poor Donaon ta' die. ;_;
Perception:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 (To look around her cave in the hopes of seeing something left behind which might help.)
But the tears in her eyes blur her vision.
Not that I has tha' healin' skill, but tha' dice roller could be a tad more kind. (¬_¬)

The Elusive Trout |

Sunny tries to staunch the bleeding, but fails to do so, making a noise Zeltor can hear through the chaos of battle.
Zeltor shifts his bow from the creature he had managed to hit once before onto the fleeing woman... only to miss narrowly due to a shimmering arcane shield.
The bearded man who had been one of Sunny's jailors finishes removing the ropes fastening the horse and moves it away from the wall.
"Pup, get the kit and give it to the lass. Lass, get out of the way."
The younger man grimaces but retrieves a small box out of a bag he picked up from the corner and tossed it next to Sunny before standing next to the horse as well.
Sunny, you get access to a healer's kit with 2 uses left.
"Your things are in the main room." Hersh adds.
Ruul, Manny

Sunny, |

Blinking back tears, even as she's nodding thanks for this small mercy, Sunny again attemps her best to help poor Donaon.
Heal check:1d20 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 + 2 = 1
Her first attemp hampered/wasted by her shaking hands and blurred vision.
(>_<) *Screams @ dice roller results in frustration!
Will be having another go next round.

Ruul Spiritskin |
Ruul grunts in surprise as the hideous thing grabs him and wraps him in a crushing embrace. He’d wrestled all manners of men and beasts but this was something entirely different. Ignoring the pain coursing through his body and the foul stench assaulting his senses, the bull rears back and slams a fist into it again.
Flurry: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 5 - 2 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Flurry: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 5 - 2 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

The Elusive Trout |

1d100 ⇒ 97
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 91d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
The monster takes a few more elegent hits from Rull and Manny before tossing the latter down viciously.
However, you autosucceed to NOT take damage from the fall, and you are now at the right of it. One move will have you flanking.
The woman that Manny had pointed out and Zeltor had shot at moves closer to the archer-monk and kisses a finger, whispering, before blowing said magical kiss towards the tiefling.
Spellcraft DC 16 marks it as Charm Person. Zeltor, that's a DC 14 Will Save or she's your good buddy.
The monstrosity that had Ruul in its clutches is more concerned with choking the life out of him. 9 damage.
Sorval, I know, would finish flanking and attack here. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10[/ooc]
Sorval pushes her rapier towards the beast and misses.
Sunny tries to use the clotting agents and bandages on Donaon's awful wounds, but there's too much blood. His breathing is shallow and rapid. Sunny doesn't have to be a healer to guess he won't last long at this rate.
Zeltor.

Sunny, |

Posting for next round.
*Prays to the dice gods*
Suny wipes her eyes with the back of one arm before continuing to try and save Donaon.
Heal Check:1d20 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (9) - 2 + 2 = 9
"HAAALP! PLEASE HAAALP!" Suny calls again, sontinuing to try her best to tend poor Donaon. "I needs some HEALIN' HERE!"
(>_<) *Throws dice roller across the room in anger, rage, frustration and disgust*

Zeltor |

Zeltor is not aware of what the woman is trying to do, but he does feel the magic assaulting his senses - the history teacher finds himself growling and falling not only to his training, but also to his infernal ancestry to resist the insidious spell
Will Save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Zeltor's got enough friends, thank you :D
Shaking the magic away, he is able to maintain his wits about him, and find that they are in dire straits as to how to proceed. The woman is definitely a spellcaster, and dangerous for that simple fact, but the monstrous creature is hitting his minotaur companion with such violence that the tiefling makes a quick decision - "Manny, Sorval, the woman is a caster. Neutralize her as fast as possible" - the commanding shout is unusual for the mild mannered monk, but reflects the urgency of the situation - "I will try to hold that monster at bay"
Taking down to one knee, his bow training flashing in his mind for a split second, Zeltor takes careful aim, and lets too arrows fly at the monster grappling the (unconscious?) form of Ruul.
Flurry 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Flurry 1 Perfect Strike: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Flurry 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Bah... 10 damage?

The Elusive Trout |

1d20 - 5 ⇒ (20) - 5 = 15Zeltor manages to peg the creature twice, but only one hit leaks more juice.
The scents of whatever unholy processes go on in the back chambers bombard the wounded Ruul.
Hersh regards the screaming Sunny with pity.
[b]"Lass, I need you to step aside. I don't want to trample you."
Pup steals past her with his daggers to the top of the stairs, looking at the chaos unfolding.
He's not really bothering to hide his presence, but neither is he acting threatening so much as looking around for Matcha.
Zeltor is the only one in position to see him emerge clearly from the same chamber that all the calling for healer is coming from.
Manny, Ruul. Make it count.

Ruul Spiritskin |
If there's any indication that this thing is hurting, Ruul will attack, otherwise he's going to break free and try for a breather.
Gore: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Otherwise that'll be a 25 to break free.

Ruul Spiritskin |
Does it have DR or have we been doing full damage to it? Would there be any kind of check to determine how hurt it is?

The Elusive Trout |

1d100 ⇒ 29 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 171d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Manny and Ruul continue their attacks, putting more damage into the lumbering bad guy with as much ease as the situation allowed (not much, as it turns out). Neverless, more alchemical fluids spurt.
For the first time, Ruul feels the monstrosity teeter, but it is not yet slayed/deactivated/defeated/pwned. However, it is enough that, in trying to wring the life out of Ruul, it fails to maintain its grip in any meaningful way. In trying to throttle the bull-man's necks, it merely crushes his horns.
While uncomfortable, this does no harm the minotaur in a serious fashion.
The woman Zeltor decided needed a good containing shakes her head in frustration and casts an entirely different spell.
Spellcraft DC 15 recognizes [i]Expeditious Retreat.
She makes her way to the exit.
Some of the hostages from earlier seem keen on following her, but not with the same speed, being that they're staggered.
Now we've got Sorval, Sunny, and Zeltor.

Sunny, |

From where she kneels besides the prone form of Donaon, Sunny searches the form of Hersh...looking for any signs that the fellow might be carrying a life saving vial of healing potion about himself.
Perception:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Sorry Mistress Trout, I thought looking for another potion somewhere might help.get Sunny out of her rut, but it seems the Paizo dice roller has other plans. :(

The Elusive Trout |

I know what you mean. This is happening to me in two other games. However, Sunny doesn't see anything that causes her to think he is. It was a good idea. However, you could probably convince him to help in this case with a DC 10 diplomacy check and a puppy face. It's not a guarantee, but it's another pair of hands and you're in his way.

Zeltor |

Ok, so can Zeltor try that Intelligence check, before proceeding?
Int Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
... I'm assuming there will not be a wealth of information with that roll...

Zeltor |

Not true! Zeltor knows... Stuff...
Zeltor notices the woman dashing out - he firmly believes she must be the one responsible for all this, as the creature embroiled with Ruul seems to be nothing more than a mindless aberration.
But chasing her is really not an option, not when those he has been walking the path with are in such danger. He tries to get a good look at her, but remains focused on his attacks.
Flurry 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Flurry 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
I hope my arrows are at least damaging the thing?

Sorval |

Sorval will stay flanked with Ruul. Spending an Arcane pool point to increase the power of her Rapier.
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Also Knowledge(Arcana): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 to figure out how hurt it is.

The Elusive Trout |

Zeltor's arrows continue to pound into the beast, and Sorval gives it a telling blow.
It's starting to reach the end of its rope, but you think that there is some negation of damage being done here. That said, it's teetering on at less than a quarter of its hit points.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 141d20 - 5 ⇒ (19) - 5 = 14
Hersh can't turn down Sunny in this case, though her gives an exasperated sigh. He leads the horse with the reins to just behind her and kneels down. His hands aren't as unsure as Sunny's, but the efforts teeter on useless. Nevertheless, Donaon's vitals begin to stabilize.
Pup moves to the chests and bags oh the main room and rifles through some of them.
"Lass, take him and get out of the way, now."

Sunny, |

Sunny 'squees' in delight at Hersh progress, bouncing to her feet in joy and quickly scampering over to her place of incarceration. Grabbing the blanket from inside, she uses it -With Hersh and/or Pup's help- to place Donaon upon it, make the poor fellow a tad more comfortable and gently place him to the side of the passage. (^_^)
"Thank'e, thank'e, thank'e, thank'e, thank'e, thank'e, thank'e, thank'e, thank'e..." Is Sunny's muttered mantra as she settles Donaon in and Hersh and Pup begin to make their final preparations at leaving.
Perception:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Her eyes concentrating on Donaon's prone form...
I swear, I'm gon'a find tha' paizo dice roller an' do somat to it...Somat bad...(¬_¬)

Ruul Spiritskin |
Gotcha.
With the monster busy trying to control his horns, Bjorkus turns back to his fists, slamming them into it in quick succession.
Flurry: 1d20 + 5 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 5 - 2 + 2 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Flurry: 1d20 + 5 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 - 2 + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

The Elusive Trout |

1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 191d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 51d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28
Ruul and Manny fight back admirably, whipping bits of stiff flesh into the air with their continued blows.
At this point, Sorval can tell that the creature is only just clinging to animation.
It gets what is likely its last hit in against the bull-man, wholloping him fiercely and getting its disgusting appendages around him again. 5 damage, which would stagger Ruul but not knock him down.
The woman who had been fleeing before is now gone without a trace.
Sorval, Zeltor?
