Demon-Spawn Tiefling | Notable Features: The head of a bull with vestigial horns, red skin, smokey breath, and the scent of brimstone seems to emanate from him. Int +4 | AC 25 Touch 10 Flat-footed 25 | HP 44 (-11 Non-Lethal Damage)/45 | Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +1 (+1 vs. Mind-affecting effects)

I'm excited to hear that. I could see his introduction having been him taking his place as Under-Chief by having an epic battle between him and the current Under-Chief.

I could see that too! :)

It would be one hell of a bloody combat. I still need to get his gear done as well. I was thinking of giving him a Cloak of Resistance +1 that would be his trophy from Rock Crusher the bear after it was blessed by the tribe's Shaman.

Moving over to the discussion board so as not to stretch the Gameplay thread with a bunch of OOC chatter.

That could be interesting. While Beleste is not opposed to letting another lead, you can be sure that he will be opinated when he chooses and might straight up ignore someone if he feels like it. Espcially when someone demands something of him.

Good idea with the move to discussion.

Fair enough. I'm not sure if I'm targeting 'leader' per se, but no one else was stepping up to the plate. Also it's pretty in character for this particular personality to be arrogant as I envisioned him as pretty high level wizard when he was implanted in Jokum's mind. Ongoing leveling would just be the minds acclimating to one another and more thoughts 'bubbling to the surface'. I'm still debating if I want them to be able to 'talk' to one another at some point. Thoughts on this character development are always appreciated. :) Left to my own devices, I'll probably quibble over it with myself all the way to level 20.

Male Tiefling (Pit-Born) Antipaladin (Knight of the Sepulcher) 3 / Fighter (Unarmed Fighter) 1 l HP: 43/43 l AC: 21 [T: 13 FF: 19] l F: +11, R: +7, W: +7 l Init: +4 l Per: +0

I'm not sure that our team needs a leader, or if you think it does good luck constraining the Ravener or the giant cat of chaos.

Jethop speaks true. I think the best way to describe "leadership" for this group is "describing where the most profit could be found for personal gain" :P

As for your idea, Jokum, I'm looking forward to see how your Jekyll/Hyde inner conflict resolves itself over the course of the story.

Sounds about right Frogfoot. The Elf is one lone lawful personality in a massive swirl of chaos so he'll probably feel a little out of sorts when all his supposed 'lessers' just ignore him. The Tiefling side is frankly scared spitless of all the cannibals in the group, so he wants nothing to do with leadership.

We's just hungry. :-D

Yea, and until it's safely established he's off the menu Jokum will remain scared. :P

Added the new loot to the doc.

Thank you.

What's the rules on rolling multiple natural 1s in a row again? I seem to be rolling them left and right at the moment.

If the situation calls for it I'll introduce some extra negative effect tied to what you attempted to do. I can choose to do that or not do that based on the situation.

Beleste takes his time to effectively obscure himself from the road. Mwahaha!

Beleste had already dragged the body of his own kill off to the other side of the bridge and hid it behind some bushes and I had no intention of cleaning up after the others. He simply figured he would clean up after himself.

So had the Ravener, see thicket throwing, but all the excess blood is still there.

And Beleste only used his water to try and wash away most of the blood because it was on the stone bridge. If it was in the dirt he would leave it seeing it as rather useless in trying to clean it up. Well beyond kicking some dirt over it.

Indeed, I was just commenting on the general cleanup of the bridge area that Beleste would have to do, at least to a small extent. The Ravener's a messy eater.

We weren't waiting on me, right? Seems to have slowed a little here.

Nope! Post coming tomorrow, apologies! Today was a full day with no access to any screens of any sort :)

No worries. Quick question though, what happened to our other monstrous companions (Undvach and Aren)? I get that their players seem to have left, but did they just not get teleported with us?

I was debating how I wanted to handle that. I DM multiple campaigns and have a large pool of players that I already know are good who have the free time to join other campaigns. I was considering just asking a pair of 'em to roll up characters of their own that fill their shoes, and retconning that it was them the whole time. Thoughts?

I want the party to have a divine caster - pretty important for a lot of PF scenarios. If no player comes forward for the role (impossible) I can always add an NPC cleric. It'd be fun to be a player as well as a DM, and you can trust that my DM PC wouldn't try to overshadow or metagame to anybody's detriment.

Given there hasn't been a lot of intercharacter development, it's easy to either retcon or say that the slaves were found unsuitable and new ones added to the mix. Also, if you allow playtest classes, a shaman looks like it would be an interesting Tiefling addon.

While I wouldn't mind (read: appreciate) a divine caster, I don't mind keeping the group smaller too. There are still 5 of us. That's not a low number.

(AC 18/13Tch/15FF, HP 20/30, Fort +4, Ref +5, Will +5, resist fire/cold/electricity 5, Init +9, Per + 6) Male Tiefling Admixture Evocationist (Wizard) 4

True. It'd mostly be conditions and stuff that I'd be worried about. A 2/3 caster would probably be plenty to round us out. I'm flexible and it could easily be solved by tossing a headband of UMD and some fun wands my way. :)

Male Tiefling (Pit-Born) Antipaladin (Knight of the Sepulcher) 3 / Fighter (Unarmed Fighter) 1 l HP: 43/43 l AC: 21 [T: 13 FF: 19] l F: +11, R: +7, W: +7 l Init: +4 l Per: +0

We also have a bard. Some things she can help us with as well.

Ah, that's true. For some reason I had it in my head that Faeleen was a magus.

She was battling a magus earlier. :)

Deceits within deceits, Frogfoot? Confusing me in AND out of character? I didn't know I was playing with a d***** Harkonnen. :P

We're just getting started.

Could we perhaps say that Faeleen managed to sleight of hand Aren's Wand of Cure Light Wounds off him before we left? Or perhaps the good doctor supplied one to her before we left?

That'd be fine.

Or maybe DM Frogfoot planted Amelia there to become our new Cleric...

Also, looking forward to seeing their response to Beleste's analytical thinking.

So much for the calm and rational approach to keeping them busy. :P

The Ravener has impulse control issues.

Now I'm waiting for the 3-7 readied attacks to go off before any of those land.

Male Tiefling (Pit-Born) Antipaladin (Knight of the Sepulcher) 3 / Fighter (Unarmed Fighter) 1 l HP: 43/43 l AC: 21 [T: 13 FF: 19] l F: +11, R: +7, W: +7 l Init: +4 l Per: +0

Can you ready an attack when you aren't in combat?

I don't think your suppose to, but when I'm told they're poised over us with blade and magic in hand, I assume their readied to strike us down.

Male Tiefling (Pit-Born) Antipaladin (Knight of the Sepulcher) 3 / Fighter (Unarmed Fighter) 1 l HP: 43/43 l AC: 21 [T: 13 FF: 19] l F: +11, R: +7, W: +7 l Init: +4 l Per: +0

I'm thinking that when they started gabbing and we aren't prone then they lost the element of surprise.

Male Tiefling (Pit-Born) Antipaladin (Knight of the Sepulcher) 3 / Fighter (Unarmed Fighter) 1 l HP: 43/43 l AC: 21 [T: 13 FF: 19] l F: +11, R: +7, W: +7 l Init: +4 l Per: +0

I doubt there will be a surprise round for either side. :-p

I'm thinking they had the surprise round on us when they put their blades to your throats. At which point they were readying attacks for when someone made a hostile move.

And if you recall, only two of them started talking. Talking that made the ones holding the blades uneasy as if they were perhaps expecting us to lash out because of the insults.

Male Tiefling (Pit-Born) Antipaladin (Knight of the Sepulcher) 3 / Fighter (Unarmed Fighter) 1 l HP: 43/43 l AC: 21 [T: 13 FF: 19] l F: +11, R: +7, W: +7 l Init: +4 l Per: +0

Meh. Maybe. But the Ravener isn't a strategic thinker. Nor is he worried about a fight. He might be wrong, but not attacking without clear gain isn't in his character.

Fair enough. I'm merely stating the scene I see playing out in my head.

However, if they do get to attack, whether they will miss or not is yet to be seen.

Well that worked out pretty well... good job Ravener!

It does seem that way, but don't let your guard down. They're still drow. They could be leading us into a trap.

Just a heads up. I'll be out of town from the 22nd to the 29th, so my posting will likely slow down a bit during that time. I'll still have a computer and internet access, but I'll be pretty busy with family stuff. I should be able to keep up 1/day though.

Hey guys! Sorry for not posting last weekend, I'll get something up tonight when I'm done rushing around/cleaning/christmas prepping (hate this time of year)

Yeah, I'm in the humbug mood myself this year.

Post coming after Christmas most likely. Family drama happened.
