Hey guys. This is the third time I've had to post this in about 5 minutes and it's gotten harder every time, but I can't continue doing this any more. I over-reached my grasp, put too much on my plate, bit off more than I could chew...and other metaphorical phrases. I'm burned out creatively, I'm frustrated and I'm anxious about DMing, so I am taking an extended break.
I loved doing this campaign with you guys while it lasted, and I hope we all can remain friends, keep in touch and play together again when I am ready to return to active status. I'm deeply sorry for canceling this, and I wouldn't if I felt I could continue.
I appreciate you guys being such great players. Thank you, and I'm sorry again.

No worries, Frogfoot. I had a lot of fun while it lasted and I appreciate you putting the work into it that you did. I'll definitely look you up if you ever decide to start up this or any other games. Best of luck to you and happy gaming. :)

It's unfortunate to hear that the game will be ending, but with every ending comes a new beginning.
Thanks for running the adventure and I hope you find your muse again soon.

Hey again guys. I've licked my wounds and recovered from my injured pride from canceling my precious campaigns, but you know I couldn't stay down for long.
I won't be DMing Pathfinder again, first of all. I love and respect Paizo and its products with all my heart for the part they played in my gaming development, but I can't deal with the huge volumes of rules and things to remember. Puts too much stress on me as a DM. I mentioned earlier to some of you that I was looking into Dungeon World, and I wanted to express to you guys that I am doing it.
This is a private recruitment drive that I'm posting in my former campaigns, to be fair to my favored players. I don't need the general riffraff of the boards if I have a cadre of players I have personal experience with.
If you're interested in participating in a PbP Dungeon World campaign on these boards, post here and let me know. Please, if you are interested in the game, research it and how it works - there are some ideas in the game that are foreign to Pathfinder or D&D, even though DW and D&D have many common roots.

Dungeon World Character sheets.
Check out the character sheet PDFs above if you're unfamiliar with the rules. They don't explain everything but they should give you some context for how the game works.

Here's the Barbarian class character sheet, which isn't included in the original link of character sheets.

It's 2d6, if the SRD is to be believed.
DM Frogfoot
Yep, all rolls are 2d6 and are broken into one of three results:
10+ Basically a critical success. You achieve what you set out to achieve if the fiction allows.
7-9 A partial success. For example, if you rolled an 8 on an attack roll, you might deal damage but also take damage. There are also a series of "GM Moves" that I can throw at you when you achieve a partial success.
6- Well...at least you earned an XP for failing.

Interesting. The SRD is definitely helping me get caught up on the rules, so it is a great resource like I thought I thought it would be. Thanks again for linking it Faeleen.
The leveling system is interesting as well. Get to level 10 and earn enough experience to reach level 11, choose from retiring the character and starting anew, taking on an apprentice and playing both characters, or transmigrating back to level 1 in a new class while keeping your stats, hit points, and any moves that you and the DM feel really define your character.
Also, it's nice to be able to gain a little something for failing miserably. Shows one's ability to learn from their mistakes I suppose.

Whenever a wizard prepares his spells, he can prepare new spells from his spellbook of his choice whose total levels don't exceed his level+1.
So a level 4 wizard could prepare 4 level 1 spells or 1 level 3 spell and 1 level 1 spell, for example. Cantrips, of course, don't count against this limit.
I really like the way magic works in Dungeon World. You can theoretically cast your spells infinitely, but whenever you roll below a 10 on your spellcasting, you have your choice of something bad happening.
You can either:
Cast the spell and then forget the spell until you Prepare again
Cast the spell and then take a -1 forward for all spellcasting until you Prepare
OR
Cast the spell normally, but attract the attention of something you'd rather not.
This drives home the notion that wizards are like boats floating atop a deep, vast ocean, and there are things that dwell in the magical abyss that sometimes notice the surfacers who are so recklessly throwing spells around.
Then there's rituals. These are really awesome because they aren't limited to a set list of rituals. Basically, you make up a ritual effect that you want to have happen, make your roll, and I tell you if it works. From the SRD:
Ritual
When you draw on a place of power to create a magical effect, tell the GM what you’re trying to achieve. Ritual effects are always possible, but the GM will give you one to four of the following conditions:
•It’s going to take days/weeks/months
•First you must ____
•You’ll need help from ____
•It will require a lot of money
•The best you can do is a lesser version, unreliable and limited
•You and your allies will risk danger from ____
•You’ll have to disenchant ____ to do it
Captain Fremont
Yeah, the system is really interesting. You don't gain more hit points unless you gain Constitution or some other effect. Upon reaching the penacle of one class, you take a portion of what you learned and start new in another class.
However, that seems slightly unfortunate. You only retain a fraction of your former power. Although you at least get to work with the GM to decide what abilities you keep. Like I would almost suspect that a fighter would almost certainly carry his weapon over into a new class.

I posted in all the campaigns I run. I really like the playerbase that I have formed and I don't see the need to touch the recruitment forums at all for this.
So far I have one player from my Wastes of Belkzen campaign, one player from my Crystalweb game and you and Faeleen from this campaign. I'm looking for probably one more, possibly two, assuming all 4 players who have shown interest so far are committed.
Captain Fremont
The game is rather intriguing for the fact that it very much focuses on the concept of group story telling. Everyone should be putting their input in on different situations and not sitting back.
And instead of merely going by what the GM thinks, it says game issues should be discussed by the group.
DM Frogfoot
I could definitely see that. Let me know what you want your Land to be that you're bonded with. It will contribute to my worldbuilding, which I've been doing all day at work today.
And yeah, Dungeon World is a system that really focuses on equalizing the DM and the players in terms of power. For example, when a druid gets to a certain level, she can get an ability where the DM asks HER what the weather is like every day.
Captain Fremont
That could lead to a very quick level rate, which I'm fine with.
I'm looking at a Human Fighter at this point in time. He'll be a heavy hitter, at least I hope my rolls say likewise, and I think he'll aim to get a hireling pretty quickly. Every great fighter needs someone to distract the enemy while he cuts them down. Otherwise they just get so long and drawn out that you feel like you only faced one enemy that entire day. :P
