"Sold. Many thanks good man!" Jarrus pays and wraps the bottles and puts them in his coat of many pockets.
"Best we head back to see what's happenin with the Cap'n and the ship."
Think that's mostly us for the rest of the day. Will head to the ship and help around as needed till evening.

Estelle watches the work going on on the ship, she looks at the old man.
"What about Ballista? We are going to need something bigger than the ones we gots. I will be back a bit lata to see, I am goin' ta get me helpers and some chow and return."
Estelle walks over to the food hall, looking for Owlbear and Flips, she finds them in the chow hall. Estelle heads over to sit with them.
"Theys be fixin' the ship, we need ta go and watch learn more. Also we need bettter weapons on the ship. Flips we are going ta get ye trained on using the big guns well and Owlbear I want ye trained on repairs and anti boarding techniques."

The man counts the coins with a quick glance and produces some bottles for that price and explains the nuances in taste and what makes them special as well a one a little cheaper but also not bad and one bottle of really fine rum that would cost double the price.

Lito finds out that besides the pirates that bring their ships here nothing of much interest happens here usually. It's in the middle of nowhere surrounded by jungle. And the pirates usually behave, because if they don't and Rickety complains about them for not paying or even threatening him to the Free Captains they get whipped back into line pretty quick.
But recently the area suffers a draught which has brought critters who live in the jungle further into the land to show up here at the river and the coast. Which has let to some unpleasant encounters recently.

After eating Estelle sets off in search of Trytton and Lito, after searching for what feels like forever Estelle manages to track the two men down.
"Ye sold all the extra cargo yet? What have ye bought for the armory on the ship? We are going ta need a crossbow fer everyone, some axes and swords. Spears even ta keep pirates back from jump onta our ship as well."

I sold what I could, but some has to go back to Hale as many don't have much cash in this town. Trytton has the coins.
By the way, I heard that the local wildlife is giving the people here some problems, so you may want to consider advising the crew to keep some small weapons on them while here, just in case they get caught in something.

"Will do, we should be carryin' with weapons always. Daggers at least."

Besmara climbs down from the ship. She walks around checking the hull. "Meh, everything full of crustaceans." She then moves on to the commons checking on the shops and looking what her crew is up to. As she meets Estelle she tells her "Hey Estelle. Could you take care of the wildlife that inhabits our ship? I mean on the outside. That stuff for sure slows us down. And as we don't do keel hauling we have no benefit of it."
"No hurry though. We're here a few days and if ye wanted ta get a bite first... It would just be a shame to let the chance pass."
Besmara then walks on to take a bite herself.

Sandara smiles "Let's find a nice place to sit down and crack that bottle open. Ye can talk to the Captain about buying some rum later." she suggests holding up her bottle.
'He might not be the brightest candle on the cake but he knows how to make compliments and puts that skill to good use.' she thinks while smiling at Jarrus.

As the evening sun touches the water you hear a droning buzz in the distance. Looking around you see something like a swarm of birds rising from the jungle. As the swarm comes closer and the buzzing louder everyone around you runs in panic for cover. Some jumping from dangerous heights to get out of view.
As the swarm comes over the village and descends it becomes clear why. Giants wasps the size of a horse have come to get food. And suddenly you are no longer on top of the food chain.
Setting: you are not surprised and may ready an attack or even buff yourself if you have the options. But running and hiding is no option. You are in groups. Jarrus with Sandara, Lito with Estelle and her gang, Trytton with Rosie (the rest of the crew left you to go to eat). Besmara is screwed but maybe someone can come to her rescue. Maybe Noonan and Pluck? Everyone group gets one wasp but Lito and Estelle who get two. Let the fight begin.

Pluck flies over to Noonan, who had been quietly sitting like he was resting, and lands on his head.
SWAK! We got flying nasties! Noonan activate!
Noonan's head tilts up and he stands, grabbing at his greatsword as metal and leather creak as if he were some sleeping golem that arises to defend his charges. Light gleams off his blades and he churns his legs, running towards Besmara to defend his captain.
RAWRRR!!

As the sun goes down and the droning starts, Estelle looks around at the towns folk flee in terror. Looking over at Lito,
"Not something good I be guessin', look at em scramble fer cover."
Turning around towards the jungle Estelle notices the large wasps.
"Ohh S!+!! Owlbear protect Lito, Fipps yer with me."
As soon as it is with in reach, Estelle leads with a kick.

Lito doesn't like the strategy to keep him out of the fight and steps back in. Landing a solid hit.

Besmara is glad that the wasp is dead. But hiding away is no option for a captain. Seaman bring me my red shirt! "We have to save that guy! Aaaaaarrrrr!"

Sorry guy's I was asleep while this fight was happening. If possible I'll make my actions for two rounds that I missed. If I can't then just use my first action for the current round.
Jarrus draws his new pistol and squints but the fading sun on the sea makes it hard for him to see till it's too late and the wasps are upon him. He gets hit by a stinger and jumps back (5ft step) and lifts his arm and takes a shot at the flying giant insect.

Besmara is unhappy with the situation. Everyone is killing wasps around her but she hasn't managed to kill even one on her own. And even worse - she'd probably killed if she tried. Enraged she stabs at the next one, listening with one ear to Lito's advice.
