Yeah, just got caught up, and I agree. Well done guys. I probably won't get an update up tonight, I'm exhausted and only really have time to eat before bed. But tomorrow for sure.
My times vary depending on work schedules. sometimes I don't get to post till near midnight (EST) other times it is earlier.
Today I had my table top game and got home to a lot of posts so I wanted to respond to what I could.
As long as the whole story does not move to far ahead I usually am pretty good.
I remember one time I started this AP and in the first day, I had to work late and when I got on to post the players had already completed the climbing and cook selection.
I went ahead and posted the climb checks and would have won. but the Gm said to late.
so yeah, I was kind of upset at that. So as long as the game overall does not move along before I can take an action than I am good.
I do check everyday.
Of course it also means than I play reactionary and do not really get much interaction with others like right now, I believe the game will move forward and Sasha's situation will be left unresolved in the background.
Also since I do not read others spoilers, do not assume she knows some of the NPC's like it was good that Grock was identified as the quartermaster. but Sasha has not seen this person so she will have no clue if Grock was standing in front of her right now.
this is for everyone (myself included)... we cannot assume that when one person meets an NPC then we all know that person. (helps keep the mystery of the game going.
Fair enough, I post when I can. Now the semester is wrapping up so it's super crunch time. I will try to play my character to the best of my abilities.
Sasha was going to animate some rope, but as she used it earlier to cause a little mischief. she did not want to implicate herself in causing one of the other crew to get a bunch of lashes.

I post like once a day whenever I catch a breathing room.
I post more than I like to admit. Well, I check these forums several times a day when I'm not busy. By several times a day, I mean every hour or so...
Work days, it's more like three times a day max.
As a side note, it has been fun getting to know your characters :) We've got quite a mix of personalities.
Yeah I do check it many times a day every day, it's my first pbp so I am a little more excited than usual. There is a lot more roleplaying than I thought there would be compared to table top, so that's excellent.
This is metagaming, but my character does have a masterwork dagger on him(what size actually?) so maybe it could be traded to Grok for the locket. you'd need to ask and convince Aqguazula, although he has no real use for a dagger since he's armed with his weighted spear and hair.
The Dagger is Medium sized and even if you don't use it, maybe someone else could on the team? Grok might take it as trade either, it depends on how you handle it.
Hello my fine feathered and scaled friends, how goes it? So I am taking this time to ask how you are finding the game? Any comments, complaints or suggestions welcome, so don't be afraid to speak up. Cheers!
very fast... I checked messages and then took a nap for a couple of hours and came back to 11 posts.
the other day I sat at my computer for 4 hours straight and not a single post.
oh well.. guess my clock is different.
anyway back to trying to keep up.
like I said before lots of activity is good as long as you do not forget others may want to have a say as well. and the story does not advance to fast without everyone's input.
I haven't progressed the story, it is all Role Playing and not story progression. That is why some people have a long time to wait, like Bleepos who is currently asleep. There wont be a Day 2 post till all the Role Playing is done.
What I mean is, ya'll love talking and I love letting yah coz it gives me not a lot to do! ;)
You are doing a great job, Tide. I think the speed is fine. RPing is really letting our characters develop and as well as helping us learn who our characters actually are.
I usually wake up to 5-6 extra posts in the gameplay thread, so I've got to take a minute to read them all or I may miss important information (like Sandara).
I'm in 3 other PbPs and GMing one, so I get a little behind sometimes, but in the end, it's a ton of fun.

I'm enjoying the game! Pace is fine. I'll be slower than most, I guess :) I hope you guys are enjoying passing some time onboard with little green big headed Jack Sparrow!

I need to update my stats since I'm already using a small studded leather too.
It's update time, also because of the nature of his curse. Aqguazula only needs 4 hours of sleep to get the equivalent of 8. So he will be up bright and early everyday.
Sadly it's 3pp, some of my stuff is. Like an addict i'm trying to wean it off. Im honestly not sure about the ruling for the 8 hours uninterrupted. I know that for sure it goes for bards and sorcerers not sure about an oracle. I know that I need to spend time to reflect, morning prayer, etc. I'm just running by what it says, so it's tides court.
Hmm that is a good point. You do need to rest for 8 hours for spells. I would rule that sleeping for 4 and wakeful meditating for four would be fair. That would mean that you could act as a lookout for the 4 hours you are awake. Or you could change your drawback, if you like? Those are my rulings. I don't play spellcasters a lot so I forgot about that rule.
I really don't mind being a lookout, it would fit his character once he's more trusting. I would imagine I couldn't go top side, unless I wanted a whipping or be turn into well grilled fish in the hotbox.
