I was thinking someone who can handle traps would be useful, while not heavy on them the last two books do feature some that will really hurt if not spotted and dealt with.

The good thing is at 11th level you can make some good with traps, and good in melee, or ranged combat.

I'd like to keep exploring, there's still the potential for dangerous stuff to befall our party or the guests. I'd focus on the bay to the northeast (areas K and L) and maybe try to negotiate with the ents at M.

What are the mechanics for us regarding selling vs renting these slips/wharves?

That said it was going to be a healthy lump sum for you if selling, or a nice, regular amount if renting.

Marnir is officially the lord of the island, what he sets as laws are the laws. If things go well and you have a town begin to grow around your port then you may need to look at setting up a watch to keep trouble from burning it down. A guard to keep things yours when you're away and so on.

That's not even the fights on the island. Looks like I'll have to check. From memory I believe the party got a big spend recently though?

Before you joined though, but it was 11000 or so to spend so it must have cleared a lot of the loot list.

Edit. Just checked and it was back Sep 28th 2018. So that makes updating the loot list and seeing how much cash you have to spend much easier.

Since you're heading to Port peril, the biggest shopping center in the Shackles.

I agree with keeping the horn of the tritons and chime of opening as party items, as ell as the consumables like wands and potions (saves us from wasting spell slots.

I wouldn't mind having Kung carry the +1 heavy mace; that gives him a magical bludgeoning weapon to fill out his damage types.

The scoundrel's sword cane is a mighty fine weapon, though it would never be Kung's primary weapon. It's +2, and it lets you see around corners like a periscope in addition to giving you a general +5 competence bonus to perception. If nobody else wants it, Kung will keep it as his piercing weapon, selling off his +1 keen spear in replacement.

I would definitely suggest the cloak for one of our non-waterbreathers.

Kung has a helm of underwater action, so has waterbreathing covered.

I would support a new recruit in port. What kind of character should we target. Sneaky, to fill that gap left by Jane?
