So, Kung is looking for a +2 mithral breastplate of comfort. It costs 13,200; Kung currently has ~12,155. His current +2 mithral chain shirt is worth 5,100, and will sell for 2,550 (which gives Kung enough for the armor upgrade).
Before he sells it in Drenchport, does anyone on the Drake want it instead?
Markizio will take it and exchange it for his regular +2 chainshirt. It fits ways better under his clothing. :)

Shopping list:
Start: 17,600 gp
Sell amulet of natural armor +1 (1,000 gp)
Buy:
amulet of natural armor +2 (4,000 gp);
cloak of resistance +2 (4,000 gp); and
add spell storing to armor (9,000 - 4,000=5,000)
Remaining: 18,600-13,000=5,600 gp
Let me know if this is possible and I'll update my PC sheet.

Marnir Saltvig |

Starting total - 12791gp
Upgrade +1 mithril breastplate to +2 - 3000gp
Upgrade cloak of resistance +2 to +3 - 5000gp
End total - 4791gp
Saving the rest to put towards some sort of swim speed item, which it turns out are all somewhat pricey.

This is a heads-up that I am starting a new job on Monday. Until I have a handle on the culture and internet policies there, I won't be doing any posting from work; this will likely result in a slightly slower posting rate from me. I will do my best to keep things going, but don't hesitate to bot me if I am holding things up.

Louisiana Jane |

I am going for an interview at a new job... If I get it, I'll start to have to post from home. Which means I'll have to figure out my schedule and keep it updated each night.

Loot from the assassin.
potions of cure light wounds (2),
antitoxin (2),
+1 Shadow studded leather
+1 Human bane heavy crossbow with 14 bolts
sharpshooter’s blade*
backpack
climber’s kit
spyglass
50-ft silk rope with grappling hook
517gp.
Aura moderate transmutation; CL 10th
Slot none; Price 7,305 gp; Weight 1 lb.
DESCRIPTION
This bloodstained, skull-bedecked bayonet (Advanced Player’s Guide 176) has thin blood gutters running along both sides of its 14-inch blade. When attached to a magic crossbow or firearm, a sharpshooter’s blade gains the enhancement bonus and other weapon special abilities of the ranged weapon it is attached to, and feats, spells, and abilities that enhance or improve attacks with the ranged weapon can be used with
the sharpshooter’s blade, provided these would work with a weapon of the bayonet’s type (a two-handed piercing melee weapon).
These bonuses and benefits don’t stack with bonuses or benefits of the same type or from the same source. For example, a character with both Weapon Focus (bayonet) and Weapon Focus (heavy crossbow) would only gain the benefits of one of those feats when attacking with a sharpshooter’s
blade attached to a heavy crossbow. Use-activated abilities of the ranged weapon can be triggered through the sharpshooter’s blade but count toward the usage limitations of the ranged weapon.
When not attached to a magic crossbow or firearm, a sharpshooter’s blade has no enhancement bonus, but is still of masterwork quality and counts as magic for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.

If noone minds, Jane will take the crossbow, bolts and sharpshooter's blade. Since she's not in combat all that much and almost always has her crossbow out, this will be helpful if someone sneaks up on her.
The Studded Leather (Shadow) is a +5 comprehension bonus on Stealth, (doesn't stack with my cloak.) but if no one else wants it, I can switch it with my current armor... It would take away my lightning DR, but it would give me +2 AC and I can switch my cloak for something else.

Jane, the Assassin was human. You're going to have size penalties with all his gear.

Louisiana Jane |

:( that stinks.

Kungrusdak Nosvunkuk |

Kung will hang onto the climber's kit and the silk rope/grappling hook. He doesn't make a claim to any of the magical items.
@GM is there any chance we could find someone in port that would exchange the armor and crossbow for similar equipment in Jane's size?

Marnir Saltvig |

I'd quite like the spyglass, it would suit my pirate captain aesthetic.

GM_DBH |

Chance Armor: 1d100 ⇒ 64
Chance Crossbow: 1d100 ⇒ 19
Chance Bayonet: 1d100 ⇒ 37
Yes, you can trade the armor and heavy crossbow for something the same in Small size. The Sharpshooters blade is sadly a no. It's a rarer item.
As a note to have Resize added to a weapon is 4000gp, which makes the weapon resize to fit any user.

Louisiana Jane |

Since we've been up against humans, That bow will come in handy. Too bad about the blade. We can sell it.
I'll update my sheet with the armor and crossbow.
With the holiday season upon us, I don't know how often I will be able to post myself. I'll try to check in once a day though.

Louisiana Jane |

Looking at the prices... Does the resize also affect the price of a newly created weapon/armor? If not, then it would be better to sell these and just buy new ones at a cheaper price.

Kungrusdak Nosvunkuk |

The enchantment cost doesn't change with size, so I think we'd actually lose money doing that.

Louisiana Jane |

Prices
Studded Leather armor is 10gp, price of enchantment is 3,750gp (total of 3,760gp)
Heavy Crossbow 50gp, +1 Bane 2000gp (2050gp)
Resizing both would be 4,000gp each. It's about 1,200gp cheaper to have them made new.... and I could get the new armor made from different material as well.

Kungrusdak Nosvunkuk |

I was proposing, and I think @GM agreed (maybe I misunderstood), that we found someone who had the same items in small and do a 1 for 1 swap. No cost.

Louisiana Jane |

Oh!!! nevermind then.

Niobe Aptos |

Ok, who gets delay poison? For eight hours this makes you immune to poison. I'm thinking Kung because he's usually up front in a big way, though if he has antitoxin going he might just make all his Fort saves. Then when we finish the run or we hit the eight-hour timer I cast neutralize poison on you to cancel everything in your system (hopefully) and you're good to go.

Kungrusdak Nosvunkuk |

Kung is happy to take it, but he's got a Fort save that won't quit, and Markizio and Marnir are both going to typically be in melee just as much. Kung votes for his captain.

Marnir Saltvig |

I can sort out poison myself if need be with Spell Kenning, so I’d rather Markizio wasn’t taken out by something as tedious as poison.

Niobe Aptos |

Markizio it is then. Just note that unlike the situation we were just in, where Marnir took a bunch of Con damage and then I cured the poison, this will actually completely stop the poison from hurting you at all while the Delay spell is in effect, and then it can be cured before you take any damage from it.
If you like I could instead use the Communal version of the spell and give everyone in the party 1 hour of total poison immunity, if you think we can run the complex in that time.

Louisiana Jane |

Post ate previously
Jane has a pill that will evaporate the potion and give everyone the effects of that potion. It would be better to use that instead of a spell.

Louisiana Jane |

Jane will buy the Cloak of Resistance +3. After selling her old cloak and armor, she now has 4,219gp.

Louisiana Jane |

Happy New Years all. I went out to the beach here in Japan to watch the first sunrise of the year.
Now it's back to these forums and to get my next KS started. Also somewhat celebrating hitting 10k followers on Twitter @MadmanorTwo if you want to see.
Now to get Jane working.

Kung will put his potion of water breathing and one of his potions of cure moderate each in a potion sponge.
He also wants to buy a traveler's any-tool for 250 gp and 5 cold-iron javelins for 2 gp each. (Total purchase, including materials for Jane to craft the potion sponges: 261 gp 3 sp 4 cp) on the way back to the ship. (He will prewind amentum around the cold iron javelins, leaving his mundane javelins as backup.)
Jane, you already have MW thieves tools, right? Kung will claim the set from this loot, then. Kung doesn't need anything else that we found.

Marnir Saltvig |

Sorry team, my two year old isn't well today, won't have time to update or level. Hopefully she's well enough tomorrow that I can get it done at work tomorrow.

Markizio Voralius |

Hey guys, I'll try to keep up with the game posting now but my schedule is changing (and changing some more)...
I'll level up in the next couple of days.
I'll take the Headband of vast intelligence +2 (Acrobatics) if no one wants it.

Need to remember to use the Charts of the Fairwinds during our race - lots of useful benefits there that I keep forgetting about but will likely prove very useful sailing round the Eye.
While we're in town, I'm going to buy a few things also.
As per Kung's calculations, I'll provide 2gp 1cp for Jane to craft me two potion sponges, which I will soak with potions of cure moderate wounds and water breathing.
I'll also replace my cheap-yet-inefficient sling with 5 javelins - I don't need ranged attacks very often (so I don't need an expensive bow really) and when I do I find the sling a hassle to have to draw and load. I'll follow Kung's lead and have them wound with amenta for extra range.
Total expenditure - 7gp 0 sp 1cp
