Okay, well, there goes that idea. :P

I'll have a basic idea PMd to you in a little while.

You never know... maybe it'll inspire to run an all Hellknights game!!! Mmmmm, now there's an idea... but what module / AP would fit? Ideas?

Hell's Vengeance is tailor made for that, from what I've heard. Kingmaker could be tweaked into something that could work. Wrath of the Righteous can definitely work with an all Hellknight party, but that might cause some friction with some of the forces you wind up working with.

Curse of the Crimson Throne might also be a good one, and if you wanted to spin at as an undercover op that goes way off the rails, then Second Darkness could be a really fun one.

An all-Hellknight game would be the perfect excuse to try out that Godclaw oracle mystery I saw awhile back...

Just had a thought, what about Strange Aeons with an all Hellknight party? That could be most intriguing.

Okay, I just got done reading through the fight with the dragon and I cackled at Murassa's post of "Why couldn't it have been fluffy bunnies?" That was too funny considering Joanna's comment while clearing devils from the Crow. :D

Thanks Jo, luckily it's not been too bad today :)

I hope Christmas (or equivalent) was suitably enjoyable for all... and to those who had to work, wasn't too hectic. The day itself was great fun (it's always going to be a good day when you've got a four year old and an eight year old to share it with!!!) and now I'm planning a trip to see Rogue One with the eldest... Happy Days!!!

I took my sons (8 and 6) out of school on opening day so we could go see Rogue One together. I agree with those who said it was awesome.

I saw Rogue One with a mate on Friday and loved it. Completely agree: it's fantastic. I could gush, but since some haven't seen it, I'll say nothing more.

For probably about the 30th year in a row, I got a gaming book for Christmas! Two, actually: My lovely wife gave me copies of Freeport: City of Adventure for Pathfinder (which is an 850-page behemoth!), and Curse of Strahd for D&D 5e. (I will be swiping a few tidbits from the latter in my Ravenloft PbP game...)

Did anyone else receive any gaming-related goodies?

Not related to table-top gaming but I/we did receive Pokemon Sun, Final Fantasy Explorers, and Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright for our Nintendo 3DS. Along with a couple of additional games purchased for it with Christmas money, hehe.

As far as giving goes, I bought my brother the entire Reign of Winter AP :)

No gaming related presents for me this year... although I do have a couple of PDF's sitting in my shopping basket that I may well give to myself for being an all around good chap this year!!! It's a couple of Legendary Games compilations and the latest Paizo hardbacks... Amazon has pushed the default price of the Paizo books to just under forty-five pounds - a nearly 1:1 pound to dollar ratio!!! So I'm going to be reading those on iPad for the foreseeable future instead...

You know what, screw you 2016 - may we never see your like again.

My whole life when I've watched movies or read books my default assumption about female characters has been 'heroine' unless/until it's made explicit that she's a 'damsel in distress'... I think that has more than a little bit to do with Princess Leia.

I'm watching the Force Awakens right now and getting a little choked up every time she's on screen. 2016 is the worst.

Re: Gaming goodies - my partner bought me Tome of Madness and three of the Mythic Module Monsters: Rune Lords from Legendary Games, and there's a mini of Janfri la Kore, my PFS cartomancer witch, on the way from Hero Forge. Bless 'im! I got him The First World; Realm of the Fey and Horror Adventures in return. My sister's promised me some dice, but since money's tight for both of us, it'll be belated. I've tried letting friends and family know that if they don't know what to get me, dice always work... but they never do :P

Re: 2016... yeah, that was some crappy news to wake up to. =( At least she went the way she wanted to - drowned in moonlight, strangled by her own bra.

I have a friend coming over tonight to watch the original trilogy. We made the plans a few days ago, but it feels kinda bittersweet now.

I'm traveling in New England right now, and my posting is going to be spotty through New Year's Day.

Of course, there's a Nor'Easter winter storm coming through this afternoon, and we may get stuck at the hotel for a while... which might make it more likely to post. We'll see...

The roads got pretty bad, so we're riding out the storm at the hotel. The National Weather Service predicts 6 to 10 inches of heavy, wet snow by morning! There's already about two inches on the ground, and it's coming down hard. Thankfully, the hotel has both a halfway-decent restaurant and a bar. I've ponied up for the high-speed WiFi, so we'll probably stream some Netflix after dinner. (I always bring a bunch of various audio and video cables when I travel so that I can hook up my laptop to a hotel TV... This one has HDMI, so we're set!)

Hah! Safe, warm, and with food and internet - sounds like you're good to go for awhile :)

Oh, and there's also both an indoor swimming pool and a hot tub! Of course, I forgot to pack my swimsuit, but my wife and daughter both brought theirs... which is why I'm posting on the Paizo boards while they're enjoying the pool.

The big downside is that we had booked a sleigh ride at a nearby farm, and had planned to take my mother along. (We're currently in the city where I grew up, which is where my mother still lives.) We canceled the sleigh ride because I was afraid of the roads getting too bad afterward. Now that I see how bad the roads are, I'm sure we made the right call.

Wow...I really hate that you had to cancel some of your plans but a part of me is a little jealous, as well. We don't get much snow in TN these days. Then again if we got anything like what you're getting I think people would act like the end is nigh!

We're supposed to get a foot here but I'm not going to hold my breath- we've only gotten like 2 inches so far :(

Zed- let me know if I ever overstep on the knowledges. At this point as long as I can take 10 I can't fail a DC 25 history check (and hit 30+ a third of the time), so I figured taking a few liberties would probably be alright?

edit: I just saw Jo's question... I cant go under a 25 on arcana or spellcraft either, so hopefully this is ok...

also (and this is directed to my fellow players as much as to our GM)- I haven't read through this AP at all, so if ever my speculation leads us off course I apologize. For example, the whole '7-pointed-star representing the schools of sin magic in their opposing relationships' I made up (or guessed/deduced) based on knowing a small amount about sin magic.

No worries! Sometimes the most memorable game experiences come from being way off-base about things, hehe.

Also Briana basically has no idea either way so Teldon could probably float nearly any theory her way and she'd take it seriously.
