OK...last call for Cauis and Liandoli on round three...

On round four, Antonio dazzles the one and sticks it...Doran fells it with a mighty chop, leaving just the one chewing on Aya...

I posted my round 3 attack with my round two attack because I saw people posting round three actions.

Round 4: Cauis moves to stand over Aya and kicks at the critter threatening her.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 for 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Oops, my mistake. Cauis connects again, but sees no appreciable damage.

Reiko goes into total defense, using his katana as a whirling shield to party any attacks made against him.

Liandoli narrows her eyes, thrusting again.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Round four
Doran moves to the remaining wolf across from aya to again gain combat advantage. The half-Orc will bellow a second time trying to get the animals attention drawn to himself.intimidate: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 2 + 2 = 16 1d12 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

Aya does not move.
Con check: 1d20 + 2 - 7 ⇒ (1) + 2 - 7 = -4

With a mad bellow, Doran brings his axe down on the last one, splitting the skull in twain, and ending the fight.

Aya is, indeed, lying still.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 heal check for first aid to stabilize. Umn, she's bleeding pretty badly. I could use some help over here." Holding his hand against the wound doesn't seem to be doing much.

Liandoli pushes the brawler back while rolling her eyes. "Please, if I need something punched I'll call on you."

Heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

Holding his bloody side, Antonio sits down in the dirt, then flops back down on his back.
Grimacing, he drops his sword to feel the injury.
"Agh. I think I'm just going to... rest here for a minute."

Reiko takes a seat beside Antonio, with a soft groan and a grimace.

What were those things? Undead wolves? Perhaps we should search the house and barn, maybe they left some kind of clue as to who they worked for.

Liandoli has Antonio rest with his head on a pile of pine needles. She takes out her healing kit, going to work on the wounds.

Heal: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 2 = 21

I can only do that once a day and it expends 2 uses from my healer's kit. Antonio is healed 1 hp.

there was a wand of cure light wounds floating around the party right? Doran takes a knee on the ground holding his head between both hands. AGH....Gorum please make the pounding stop!.....whew this attack was brutal. I wonder if the elf would know anything about this condition.it cant be normal how my blood boils so hot, the headache was better than falling asleep like yesturday.hopefully I proved my worth to the party unfortunately I think we need to camp here for the night seeing everyone elses condition.

Aya lies very still, the bleeding now stopped by Liandoil's healing.

Magic! Of course! Why didn't I think of that. Cauis snaps his finger. Ala kofloyee! he waves his hands as he speaks his fake incantation, smiling and winking, obviously relieved that Aya is better.

I could use some healing. That wolf thing but a lot harder than you would think...

Ok, so a way my friends and I have established to help quicken the healing process: Once the healer has a wand of CLW simply state that you need healing, make the rolls, then report to me how many charges were used.

CLW Doran: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
CLW Reiko: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

"Me too!" Antonio waived his hand once the serious healing began.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 One charge used Liandoli!

He sighed with relief at the healing energy. Reinvigorated, Antonio jumped up agaian and retrieved his sword and crossbow.
He stepped quietly over to the now open barn door to check inside.
Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Iside are no animals...though you do hear horse sounds from behind the barn...there is a wagon, tack and harness...and perhaps half the hay you might expect. There is also a plow, and the usual tools.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
4 charges used on Aya and she is still down 3 points.

OK, with everyone healed, and three charges left on the wand, what's the plan?

Antonio goes back out to the rest.
"Nothing in the barn but equipment and hay. I heard horses back behind the barn though." He frowns in remembrance. "Seems like there should be more hay in the barn than there is now."

Doran shaking his head a few more times stands up wobbling on his feet for a second before getting in a normal stride. He walks into the barn looking around for anything odd or out of place. perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Reiko clambers to his feet and goes to check behind the barn.
Why would they have horses outside the barn...? he mutters.

Behind the barn is a small corral and two stalls...there are horses in them.

I think we should select a leader for our little troop. What do you folks think?

Is there anything else suspicious behind the barn?

Nothing out of the ordinary behind the barn...if anything, considering how exceptional most of the little farms are, around here, what stands out is how ordinary it is.

"Alright, is everyone healed up and ready to go? We need to check the farmhouse now." Asked Antonio.

Antonio, Would you be willing to assume the role as leader, at least for now?

Antonio looks startled.
"Oh. Um, alright I guess, for now anyway."
He pauses awkwardly.
"Right then. Lets take a little break, get everyone healed as much as we can, then take a look through the farmhouse. Tell me when you're all ready and we'll take the door."

Well...seeing as everybody is healed...the front door is barred...from the inside. The shutters are all closed, too.

Antonio tries the door, then a shuttered window.
"Alright, someone good with a lock try the door. I'll see if there is a way in up top."
Antonio climbs up to a second floor window.
Climb: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

The second floor shutters are also latched, something Antonio disscovers after nimbly climbing the wall.

Cauis looks to Antonio. "Should I bust it down?" points to the door.

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Pushing at the barred shutters on the second floor, Antonio pauses and looks around frowning.
The moment passes. He shrugs and dismisses the feeling.
He went back to the edge of the roof and swung down, lightly dropping to the ground again.
"Welp, the upper windows are barred as well." He said, dusting his hands off. "It's really creepy though. Felt like someone was watching me." He glanced over his shoulder again.

"Should I bust it down?" points to the door.

Antonio nods.

Doran listens as a plan to break the door down develops and moves around back of the house to prevent anyone from slipping out a back window or door motioning to Reiko of his intentions.

Reiko nods at Doran, drawing his katana and taking up a position by the front door, the same way he did with the barn door. If anything comes out, he'll slide in behind it and attack.

Cauis, your option...batter it down with damage, or just break it open with a Str roll?

There are pros and cons each way.

Aya goes with and stays behind Doran.
It's probably better if we do not split the party.

Cauis attempts to burst the door open in one swift shouldering.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 vs burst DC

Throwing his shoulder into the door, Cauis shows why folk around here respect him so much...even a barred door proves to be no match. Wood splinters, and floor and door become parallel.

The front room looks remarkably unremarkable, but somewhere unseen in the house, a door slams.

Reiko swings himself around and through the door when he hears the door slam, side by side with Caius, weapon ready for anything.
