Low-Light Vision: Half-elves can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light. Elf Blood: Half-elves count as both elves and humans for any effect related to race. Veteran Jungle Guide:You gain a +1 trait bonus on Perception checks, and a +1 trait bonus on Survival checks in jungle terrain. One of these skills becomes a class skill for you. Focused Mind: You gain a +2 trait bonus on concentration checks. Orisons Spirit Animal: At 1st level, a shaman forms a close bond with a spirit animal tied to her chosen spirit. This animal is her conduit to the spirit world, guiding her along the path to enlightenment. The animal also aids a shaman by granting her skill bonuses. This spirit animal functions like a familiar using the wizard's arcane bond class feature, except as noted in the Spirit Animal section. A shaman must commune with her spirit animal each day to prepare her spells. While the spirit animal does not store the spells like a witch's familiar does, the animal serves as her conduit to divine power. If a shaman's spirit animal is slain, she cannot prepare new spells or use her spirit magic class feature until the spirit animal is replaced. Alertness: While a familiar is within arm's reach, the master gains the Alertness feat. Spirit Magic: A shaman can spontaneously cast a limited number of spells per day beyond those she prepared ahead of time. She has one spell slot per day of each shaman spell level she can cast, not including orisons. She can choose these spells from the list of spells granted by her spirits (see the spirit class ability and the wandering spirit class ability) at the same time she casts them. She can enhance these spells using any metamagic feat that she knows, using up a higher-level spell slot as required by the feat, although doing so increases the time to cast the spell as normal for spontaneous casting. Spirit: A shaman forms a mystical bond with the spirits of the world. She forms a lasting bond with a single spirit, which grants a number of abilities and defines many of her other class features. Nature
Nature's Whispers: The shaman is so attuned to the whispers of the world around her that her surroundings constantly bestow a preternatural awareness to danger. She may add her wisdom modifier instead of her dexterity modifier to her armor class and CMD. any conditions that would cause her to lose her dexterity modifier to ac instead cause her to lose her wisdom modifier to ac. Improved Evasion: When subjected to an attack that normally allows a Reflex saving throw for half damage, a familiar takes no damage if it makes a successful saving throw and half damage even if the saving throw fails. Share Spells: The wizard may cast a spell with a target of “You” on his familiar (as a touch spell) instead of on himself. A wizard may cast spells on his familiar even if the spells do not normally affect creatures of the familiar's type (magical beast). Empathic Link: The master has an empathic link with his familiar to a 1 mile distance. The master can communicate emphatically with the familiar, but cannot see through its eyes. Because of the link's limited nature, only general emotions can be shared. The master has the same connection to an item or place that his familiar does. Appearance:
____________________________________ Appearance ____________________________________ Liandoli has a green tinge to her skin and hair, with eyes of sparkling emerald and the scent of green leaves and flowers. Her half-elf ears are displayed underneath the twigs that adorn her hair. Her gaze is unnaturally piercing, as if she can see right through things. Background:
_____________________________________ Background _____________________________________ Liandoli was born a bastard. Her "parents" were both humans, but during a night of drinking her mother found herself in private company with a traveling elf. Nobody, even her mother, suspected the child was not her father's until she came out of the womb. Her sharp ears and high cheekbones gave her away instantly. Liandoli's father went into a rage and left, Liandoli has not seen him since. Liandoli's mother changed that day. She was a shell of her former self, her day filled with nothing but drinking and self pity. Liandoli was shunned, not only by her mother but also by the villages. Her time spent in the wilderness slowly grew until she spent more time amongst the trees and animals than with other people. Her mother confronted her on this, for once in ten years showing an emotion other than despair. Not knowing how to deal with the attack, Liandoli fled into the woods that she had grown so accustomed too. There she sat and wept: Wept for the life she had been given, wept for the condition of her mother, and wept for how useless she felt. As she sat there and wept a magnificent feral hawk glided down, landing on her shoulder. Liandoli looked up in surprise; she had never been able to get the birds to trust her. The hawk stared strait into her eyes, then with a cry its body surged with a dark green light, suffusing Liandoli with power. At that moment she knew this was where she belonged and has lived as a spiritual guardian of the forest ever since, finding a place amongst the druids. |
