Doran Wellsworth |
Ah, sir, you're in luck - I've just tapped my Festival Stout...it's a bit expensive, five copper, but well worth it if I do say so myself. If you don't like it, I'll give you an ale on the house.
Doran reaching into his pocket pulls our a handful of coin pieces placing 5 silver on the bar.keep um coming ive been on the road for too many days to count and this is an indulgence i can afford. So you didn't give an answer to the room, do you have one i can rent for the night?
Reiko Arashi |
After dealing with the dwarf, Horo makes his way to the Giant's Mug, seeking a meal and a room. He takes a seat by a hulking half Orc, adjusts his katana on his back, and speaks.
I will have whatever meal you recommend for a weary traveller, and some water.
He places some coin on the table, and folds his hands in his lap, patiently waiting.
Manton Hessgrinder |
Apologies, sir, but all rooms...even my own...rent out months before festival. Still, I can guarantee you a spot near the fireplace for a mere silver...
Hearing another newcomer, the tavernkeeper turns and delivers another Festival Stout... it's rich and foamy...with a slight taste of apricot....
My goodness... travellers from all over, tonight. I'll be right back with food...I have a roast vegetable plate, with fresh venison, if you like.
Cauis Garnillus |
The big man makes his way through the crowd, pausing briefly at the dwarf's table. Ah, fines wares, but I have not coins to spare. He smiles at the mental rhyme, nodding to the dwarf as he continues.
He looks at the knife throwing contest, bemused by the daring and skill of the participants. As he ponders the growth of coin possible in such ventures, he notices the large traveler headed towards the Giant's Mug. Well, there looks to be a worthy fellow, and well traveled as well. Perhaps introductions are in order.
He ambles over to the tapper's place, just in time to hear the mention of venison.
Hey, Manton, while you're fetching, give me a double order on that, and... he whiffs the air smells like you've got the Harvest Ale out. he smiles.
Doran Wellsworth |
Doran takes the news from the bartender and is blatantly annoyed by not having a room available. well I guess ill also take a double helping as well and here's the silver for the spot by the fire taking a second he responds to the newest patron this ale quenching my thirst quite nicely Doran is surprisingly enjoying the his new companions the social interaction is a welcomed change from his recent solidarity
Cauis Garnillus |
Aye, good fellow. Manton's Harvest will do that well. Too bad about your timing if you wanted a room. Festival's got the town spilling past full. Still, keep the coals stoked well enough and you'll find floorboards and fire better than open sky and hard ground. Cauis smiles amiably. Or, if your feet aren't yet too sore, you could inquire with some of the vendors in the square if they've room on their farms for a traveler to make a bed of straw.
Doran Wellsworth |
i think they must of done some kind of restore on the page because it looks like all content that was posted around frisday and saturday was deleted and any changes to account settings reverted. i had made a new character and it didnt save

No..No...No...these floor boards will be fine, getting out of the cold is a good enough for me tonight settling in to his seat the half-orc takes off his backpack places it on the ground beside his stool, taking a moment to stretch and releash a loud groan he turns to the man and extends his hand Dolgrin Wellsworth is the name, tell me what's the festival celebrating? i noticed some absurdly large produce. these parts must be quite the fertile ground.
Reiko Arashi |
Aye, I'll take a spot on the floor as well. I've been outside for the last three weeks traveling, I think I've seen enough stars and wind for a while. he looks to the half Orc next to him and says:
Indeed, these must be fertile, I've never seen fruit and vegetables that large before. I was hoping someone around here would be able to tell me what exactly this festival is for, actually.
EldonG |
OK, my friend said he'd have a finished character for me this morning, but he has health issues, so it may be a while.
I'm going to go ahead and invite Reiko, Cauis, Doran, and Antonio to the gameplay thread.
I'd like to stress, however... recruiting is not done. I'd like at least one more...preferably a caster...in addition to my friend's fighter. I'll take up to eight, if I get good, dedicated players.

Heck, let's roll this just to test and see what I come up with...
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 4, 5) = 16; STR or INT
4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 2, 4) = 12; DEX or INT
4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3, 4) = 13; CON or INT
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 2, 2) = 13; STR or WIS
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 5, 5) = 16; DEX or WIS
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 3, 6) = 18; CON or WIS
4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 6, 3) = 16; STR or CHA
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 6, 2) = 20; DEX or CHA
4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 5, 5) = 16; CON or CHA
So that gives me....
13: STR or INT
10: DEX or INT
12: CON or INT
11: STR or WIS
15: DEX or WIS
15: CON or WIS
14: STR or CHA
18: DEX or CHA
15: CON or CHA
Well. That's actually not half-bad. Guaranteed to get some pretty high numbers there.
GM Blood |
I would prefer half-orc, for flavor purposes... Scarred Witch Doctor into EK would be fine. I like the archetype and the PrC combo. I really don't think it's stronger than straight Scarred Witch Doctor, but you can melee, if that's what you're looking for. :)
It's a bit before ek can be chosen anyway, so will start witch and maybe by that time I'll stick with it.

Hmm... I could be slightly better looking but with worse reflexes and a cough. I think I'll keep the first set, unless we are allowed to roll again!
Jun Korter |
EldonG, this is GMBlood's Dual Cursed Oracle of Life in case there is something open down the road.
If that ability makes it too difficult I could also choose a different curse, but I think that gives some good utility other than just more attacks
