Sheriff Perton |

Not long after the triage station is set up, the sheriff finds Liandoli...Here. Mayhaps you could use this. I've had my eye on the boy running the little knife-throwing game, and finally got Manton to let me run him in. It's really an illegal game, and the fine was heavy enough he gave this up rather than spend time doing hard labor...I dunno much about how it works, but I got a feelin' you do.
The sheriff hands you a wand, one Antonio would definitely recognize, as might a few of you.
It heals. I know that much.

Reiko Arashi |

Perhaps Doran, Antonio, this is a decision best made after we help the injured. Come, let us assist in whatever small way we can, and perhaps we can ask the Sherrif what he thinks.
Reiko will help in whatever way Liandoli asks.

Liandoli |

After Liandoli has an area cleared she sprinkles a healing herb over the ground and faces anybody that volunteered. "There are going to be four different sections in this area, each corner a different square for different kinds of people. The northeast corner is for the deadly injured, the ones who will soon die without help. Northwest corner is for serious injuries that are not immediately life threatening, such as broken bones. The southwest corner is for minor injuries. Southeast corner is the healer's station. I need this group to run into the forest and collect these ingredients..." After a few minutes Liandoli gets a well organized system running. Anybody that is trained in healing she has in the southeast corner aiding her, and if there are enough she has a few go to the northeast corner. Anybody that knows little of healing she sets to carrying the injured over and collecting the various ingredients she's going to need for the multitude of injuries as well as sticks and rope for splints.

I find myself agreeing with Cauis, i just can't abandon these people especially showing how ill prepared they are for another attack, If you would reconsider it might be too dangerous for your caravan to travel alone Doran follows Cauis to the healing station and starts to realize that he might be doing more harm than good.Aid Another Heal: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
He will slowly back away as he starts getting glares for the others working on patients. I'll just try and find some of the herbs you need....Yea that'll probably be better. He makes his way into the surrounding woodland searching for the herbs in question, with one eye always over his shoulder. survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
DICE BOT WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?

Antonio Nedraid |

"You're attacked out of nowhere and all you can think to do is fort up?" Antonio shakes his head.
"That is no way to win; the enemy gets to pick the time and place of battle. You have to take the fight to him."
He will help out as he can. Maybe as a stretcher bearer.

Reiko Arashi |

Doran, Antonio, I agree with you both. We can't just leave these people to fend for them selves, and we can't just wait for another attack. I think we should explore those ruins, and possibly in doing so, take the fight to our enemy.
He speaks while carrying stretchers and helping in whatever way he can.

![]() |

Well maybe Reiko has come to some solution, we can accompany Merchant Hortense as far as the ruins investigate them as the potential home of these cultists and soothsayers. Then hopefully return back to town in the same day to not leave the town abandoned. Whatever we decide we can't split our forces, these fiends have no honor and will prefer to ambush from the shadows then battle like true warriors.

Sheriff Perton |

After a while, the sheriff comes down to your triage area, and speaks to whoever he finds, out of the party.
Got somethin' for ya. Most bodies, we couldn't identify... the live ones don't know much...but...three of the bodies...the Holman man, wife...and his boy. The Holman farm is maybe halfway between the village and Gotson's.
Might be worth goin' out there.

Reiko Arashi |

Reiko looks around him, unsure of what to do.
Perhaps the Sheriff is right, and we will find more clues at the farm he mentioned. Antonio, do you know where it is? It may not take too much time, I hope.

Reiko Arashi |

Oh... That changes things.
If these people were involved, maybe there are clues left at their house. We definitely need to check it out.
Were they some of the mist creatures we killed?

Reiko Arashi |

I agree. We should investigate the farm and then head to the temple. If Mr. Hortense wishes, we may be able to escort him back to the roost after that. We may need to use their library if we find something.
He looks over at Hortense.
How does that plan sound? I wouldn't want to travel with these occurrences happening. You are safer here waiting for us to return.

Diplomacy (Inspired Re-Roll): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Doran waits for Hortense to walk away before he starts speaking to the Sheriff again. I suggest we make haste to the farm and see what we can find there, if the merchant can't understand my concern for the people of this town then he might not be the best suited employer for "my kind" anyhow. smiling as he referred to their conversation by the fire a few nights prior. The sediment is meant to assure the sheriff that Doran will be available until the matter is settled.

Reiko Arashi |

I agree, Doran. We should stay only long enough to partake in Master Manton's gracious offer of packing us food, and hen we should be off.
He looks at the carnage around him, and at his companions, but it seems like his eyes are in another place, another time like they were in the tent. He says something, softly, and then snaps back to reality.

Manton Hessgrinder |

Manton greets you all with his usual infectious cheer, despite the circumstances. He has several bundles packed up...generous portions of meats, vegetables, fruits, breads, cheese...and a small bundle of tea.
I can bring up a keg of beer, if someone really wants to carry it. In the meantime...Manton steps aside so that you can see the heaping platters and full pitchers behind him.
Oh...wine, for the ladies? Manton pulls up a bottle and two glasses from behind the bar.

![]() |

Doran humbly accepts Manton's generosity. Thank you Manton your kindness is noted sir. Doran waits for the rest of the party members to speak to the inn keeper before he waves him over off to the side.
I don't know if you have already spoken with the sheriff but a couple of those cultists we brought back were locals, just make sure to keep a closer eye than normal while this all gets sorted out The half-orc speaks in hushed tone to not be a realm razor

Aya Yalandlara |

After eating quickly, Aya returns the book to the shelf, and goes into the main room of the Mug.
Anyone here interested in buying one or more Enlarge Person scrolls?
She waits for a couple minutes to see if there is any chance of selling scrolls. If so, she does. If not, she heads to the festival grounds and repeats her cry for scroll sales.

Reiko Arashi |

I'll take one, Aya!
Reiko calls out to her before she leaves the inn, and fishes for his coin purse.
You never know when tho she'll come in handy.
He continues eating, and thanks Manton profusely every time he sees him.
Your kindness to a stranger, good sir, is commendable. I hope I will be able to make myself worth it

Assuming the food is collected up, it's actually enough for each of you for two days...and it's not as perishable as if it was fresh...smoked meats and jerky, dried fruits and vegetables, etc.
Outside, some merchants have left...but some are still present. At least the mass confusion seems to be over...it's thinned maybe 50%.

![]() |

The young man looks disappointed. You said...yet. How hard...do you think...ummm...I'm a merchant from over in Stone Clay...Keldar is my name...do you think it'll be bad...to stay here? I have some really fine pottery...sell quite a bit here, usually, before going to Wild Roc Roost, and then back home...but...he nods over toward the triage area.
Yeah...sorry...I don't know about anyone who wants...ummm...grow people spells. If you figure out...you know...that protection spell...I'll pay for it. In advance, if I have to.

![]() |

It hasn't been said, but I assume the group isn't spending too much more time in the village, and is heading up toward the Holman farm. It's about five miles up the road, and takes something under two hours to get there...meaning it'll be early afternoon when you arrive.
The farm is somewhat typical - a small main house, and a barn that isn't a lot bigger. It's not very well kept, and the fields look less regular than most.

Antonio Nedraid |

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Stopping when they reached the Holman farm, Antonio stops for a moment to rest. He takes his hat off to wipe is brow, then frowns.
"Hey guys, I hear some kind of... scratching?"
He looks around, then points.
"From that barn! Let's check it out!"
