Sakuro- you already posted round 6... (Shield on Antonio)
@GM- I agree with her question though... Should we add mythic tier 1 right now before next rounds action?
@all- I forget what paths everyone was taking... Can we all post that real quick (to hopefully make sure we don't have like everyone taking 1-2 paths and missing out on tons of paths worth of abilities. I was kind of debating between guardian or champion, probably taking a legendary weapon either way...

Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist |
That answers that.
Oh, and question - is material from Mythic Mania acceptable? I might make different choices in the future if I can use those sources...
UPDATES: (For Review)
Tier: Archmage 1
HP: +3 (25 -> 28)
Arcana: Wild Arcana
Path Ability: Perfect Preparation (I like the idea of her having all spells in her head - and I don't think there are any scribing costs or limits on how many she can know, either. If there are, and this would just be ruled as basically switching one kind of spellbook for another, I'd like to change it...)
Feat: Extra Mythic Power
@Auric: My next round, then. XD;

Reiko Arashi |

In probably going to dual-path Reiko with Defender and either Trickster or Archmage. His first feat will be dual path and his first power probably mythic spell lore, although I'm seriously considering taking Mythic Weapon instead of dual path for now... For instance, he suddenly finds out that he imbued his trusty katana with Titan magic a long time ago, and it is now remanifesting because of the exposure to Titan magic now.
Decisions decisions.....

Auric Lightmane |

Ok... That's pretty similar to my plan... Maybe ill look at champion instead of guardian... and hope that my divinely empowered legendary weapon feels substantially different than your Titan-power legendary weapon... Do you know which powers you want to put on it? (I'm planning on upgradable, foe biting, and unstoppable strike... probably powerful too at some point; I might switch to a hammer too, that would help differentiate between them too)

Reiko Arashi |

At one point, I had a list of everything planned out, but it is AWOL. I'll have to rebuild it. I don't know yet which powers, but I want them to be as sinister/evil as possible. Weapon that he both embraces as his only link to his past, and reviles at the same time.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

I read the bold in a dwarf's voice before I realized it was just bolded for emphasis :p

Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist |
That's probably because all that's out is the beta version sent to backers, and they're still finalizing the content. It's basically a bunch of the most well-known creators (including some who worked on the original Mythic Adventures tome, I believe) getting together to fill in all the gaps the official book had - get mythic versions of all the spells, all the feats, and so on. If nothing else, I might want to pluck out individual bits for consideration. XD
They also offer some advice on running Mythic games, and I'd be happy to forward that if you're interested in reading it. ^^

Marshal Path:
+4 HP
Mythic Spell Lore: Chord of Shards
I don't have mythic mania so I didn't look at those as options.
I will most likely wish to change my round 6 actions. Since this new development. May I?

Auric Lightmane |

I'm not sure how democratic our decision making process is here, but I would vote to keep Mythic Mania out, except maybe on a case by case basis for mythic spells... There really are a lot options already just from the paizo products, 3pp stuff generally doesn't get the same kind playtesting and critical scrutiny that paizo stuff does (and in my limited experience tends to have more weird corner cases and opportunities for abuse), and it means that those who have that supplement will have tons of options not available to the rest of the party... just my 2cp, if it goes the other way so be it.
For Mythic, right now we have:
Archmage
Guardian/Archmage
Champion/Trickster
Marshal
Aya hasn't responded, but I'm assuming archmage for her too...
We seem to have lost Jun (dropping us to 0 divine casters...)
Hierophant is the only path we're missing... (not surprising with 0 divine casters)
GM- do you rule that dual-path can only be taken at 1st tier, or that it requires at least first tier?
Hierophant doesn't make any sense for me right now, but I might add it later if that's an option... since we already have all the other bases covered i won't feel bad about doubling up with someone- I just need to figure out if I want to go champion or guardian (if we can only take dual path at tier 1 I might actual go champion/guardian...); originally i was planning defender but i don't want reiko and I to be too similar and if we're both guardians with legendary weapons we might be...

Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist |
Actually, I'd be more than happy to share things with everyone - as in, you could ask about options for mythic feats and spells and such, and I could post them up for general review. XD It's not a necessary additional book, just a helpful one that fills in the gaps.
Meanwhile, I'm waiting to see if we're getting another Glitterdust cast over the monster, or if Sakuro should just go get creative in trying to help. XD

Reiko Arashi |

Here's what I'm considering for tier 1. I'll probably pick up the legendary weapon at tier 2, so that Eldon and I can slowly work in the roleplay for Reiko discovering its latent abilities. I figure mythic enlarge person is a good representation for someone who used to dabble in Titan magic, yes?
I will probably dual path into Guardian at tier two as well. Also, Eldon, do you mind if Reiko retrains combat casting out for something else, since his new mythic power makes it completely useless?
•Path:Archmage
•HP:+3
•Mythic Power: 5
•Mythic Surge: 1d6
•Archmage Arcana: Wild Arcana- As a swift action, you can expend one use of mythic power to cast any one arcane spell without expending a prepared spell or spell slot. The spell must be on one of your arcane class spell lists and must be of a level that you can cast with that arcane spellcasting class. You don't need to have the spell prepared, nor does it need to be on your list of spells known. When casting a spell in this way, you treat your caster level as 2 levels higher for the purpose of any effect dependent on level. You can apply any metamagic feats you know to this spell, but its total adjusted level can't be greater than that of the highest-level arcane spell you can cast from that spellcasting class.
•Path Ability: Competent Caster- You automatically succeed at concentration checks to cast arcane spells. This ability doesn't apply to spells of the highest spell level you can cast.
•Feat: Mythic Spell Lore-Enlarge Person: You can increase the target's size by up to two size categories, to a maximum of Huge. If the target grows two sizes, its weight increases by a factor of 25, it gains a +4 size bonus to Strength, and takes a –4 size penalty to Dexterity and a –2 penalty on attack rolls and to AC because of its increased size. A Medium humanoid creature whose size increases to Huge has a space of 15 feet and a natural reach of 10 feet. Mythic enlarge person counters and dispels mythicreduce person.

Reiko Arashi |

I would like trade out combat casting for Amateur Swashbuckler-Opportune Parry and Riposte.
I know it sounds weird, but all it would do is allow Reiko to parry an attack, and use his attack of opportunity for the round to make an attack back. To me, it seems less like a "swashbuckler" thing and more representative of training in the art of the katana.
I am definitely not going to be pursuing some weird swashbuckler/Kensai type thing.
My question is Eldon, if it is allowed, how do you wish to do it?
Benefit: You gain a small amount of panache and the ability to perform a single 1st-level swashbuckler deed. Choose a 1st-level deed from the swashbuckler's deeds class feature; once chosen, this deed cannot be changed.
At the start of each day, you gain 1 panache point. Throughout the day, you can gain a number of panache points up to a maximum of your Charisma modifier (minimum 1). You can regain panache points as the swashbuckler's panache class feature. You can spend these panache points to perform the 1st-level deed you chose upon taking this feat as well as any other deeds you have gained through feats or magic items.
Special: If you gain levels in a class that has the panache class feature, you can immediately trade this feat for the Extra Panache feat.

Mythic Path: Trickster
HP: +4
Hard to Kill
Mythic Power: 5/day
Surge: 1d6
Trickster Attack: Fleet Charge
Path Abilities: Display of Dexterity
Mythic Feat: Weapon Finesse

Bad-Luck Baldek |
Baldek is dual path Champion/Trickster.
His mythic feats/abilities are Sudden Attack, Deadly Throw, Display of Charisma.
Don't forget I'm leaving for a week and might not have access to Internet.
I'm back!
I need to go through a lot of posts, but I'll chime back as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!

Mythic Path: Champion
HP: +5
Hard to Kill
Mythic Power: 5/day
Surge: 1d6
Champion's Strike: Sudden Attack
Path Abilities: Punishing Blow
Mythic Feat: ?Power Attack?
still debating, but most likely power attack... I didn't add any extra damage from that this round in case i switch it, but you can move on and i'll have it finalized by next round.

Nala the Wanderer |

I thought it was this, only turned invisible to prevent the 'looking at it directly and going insane.' :P

Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist |
I suspected a Spawn of Yog-Sothoth... but then, I'm a big fan of Lovecraftian material, and naturally tend to think of such creatures first. XD Sakuro's a little odd for me in that she's not really connected to eldritch things.

Sakuro, Obsessed Arcanist |
Well, not in the way my others are. XD Probably. For example, I have a Summoner who uses a modified summoning list and calls up Lovecraftian aberrations.

Reiko Arashi |

Haha! Sakuro, I have a home game summoner who is a gnome who does the exact same thing. He also rides them.

Auric Lightmane |

Hey everyone, I'm really sorry but I've had some stuff come up IRL and need to step away from the boards indefinitely...
I know that's terrible timing with the big event having just happened. The party is really kind of in need of a divine caster... if you can find someone to recruit for that role maybe we can do something where Auric has a vision and passes on the power he just received? I should be able to post a couple times within the next week or so if that would be helpful for the transition.

Reiko Arashi |

Auric that's terrible news. I hope everything works out for you man. I hope something changes and you end up being able to stay though.

Reiko Arashi |

Ok guys. So what do we do about Auric's spot? Do we recruit someone to fill the divine void? Do we wait and hope he is able to rejoin us despite his RL situation? I hate to lose him, honestly.

Auric Lightmane |

Yeah... Im extra sorry about that... Like I said, if you want to recruit someone right now to fill the full-divine role, we/you can do something where Auric has a vision and entrusts the evil tome and his mythic power to some worthy recipient...

Reiko Arashi |

Well, we do have some medium of healing, if Aya and Sakuro (and possibly Nia?) learn Infernal Healing from Reiko.
Also Eldon, I was thinking about it at dinner, and it occurred to me that if you reworked infernal healing to use aberration (or Titan spawn, or something along those lines) instead of devil blood, the spell would make a lot more sense for the adventure itself, and why Reiko has it.
What do you think?

Nala the Wanderer |

I'll check with one friend, then the other. Should I say we won't be mythic and others will be? Or have you figured out something to remove the non-mythic problem?

Nala the Wanderer |

For summoner, it really depends on the player. The only summoner I ever had for more than a one shot, I felt the need to buff. :) They had an amazing concept, but due to the way paizo works evolutions, it was incredibly weak. (She went with a kitsune companion, with multiple tails and fiery attacks). If she'd gone with claws or slams, it'd have been a salad shooter, but with tail slaps, all it was really good at was acrobatics. Secondary materials make me sad. :(
My summoners would definitely be on the broken side, though. Heirloom is my favorite toy in all of pathfinder, and I'd get trapped in the beautiful expression. Although... I did go with not boost before strength boost on my Ivy...
