I did--before Reg, in fact. (It was a little post, though.)
ETA: Re posting from smartphones, the Android keyboard puts square brackets several layers deep; makes it really tedious to insert markups.
oops! missed it! Posting...

Okay, there is a very important announcement.
I work in retail.
It is the holiday season here in America.
I am in school.
It is nearing the end of the semester here.
I am busy as h$#%
This means my posting will be minimal at best. I apologize for this inconvenience and I hope to be back to regular posting habit in January. But until then I may miss days completely. I appreciate your understanding and hope that you can all bear with me. I will not end any campaigns unless they die out due to drop outs. That is all.

Okay I need to go over magic. This world is vastly different from Golorion and magic and magic based classes WILL NOT work the same.
First off. The only reason you would use the spells out of the Pathfinder books is if they are part of your class or race or some other source.
Classes do not gain spells in the same manner.
Divine classes DO NOT get spells. They get spiritual powers granted by their Domain/Spirits
This world does not have Deities. It has Spirits. The Chief spirits are Fire, Wind, Earth, Water, Light, Dark, Life, and Death. There are lesser spirits that govern domains and or Mysteries
Now the spells that divine classes are awarded for their domains and such. do not function like normal spells. They are on command and do not require casting. They happen at the player's will and do not provoke attacks of opportunity. They do not require any components to use either. Unless touch is required. If the spell requires touch, ranged or otherwise, then you must be able to touch to use it.
Different Arcane classes have different spell lists. Sorcerers use the eight main powers
Wizards use whatever spellbooks they can get their hands on.
Bards use Arcane techniques not spells.
Witches get only a handful of spells and all witch spells work like hexes
Summoners use any conjuration spells and those only
Now I know that taking away spells from the divine classes is mean but in a world with limited magic foes or magic in general, this is actually a good thing. Sorcerer classes are meant to be the most powerful magic class period. Plus it is a gesalt game so you are not really lacking in power. Not to mention the custom spells I allow for sorcerers are ridiculously powerful. I tried to modify other classes, but I just don't have the time. In the end I did not see it as necessary.
Now that's settled. Be sure and ask questions about your classes when relevant.

Gah, Magic Stone at will, not so great.
Can I pleeeeeeease change Magic Stone out for Stone Fist? It makes so much more sense for my character, but its the spell for Mountain domain, not Earth domain, because it is an APG spell.
Also, if I understand this, I get my Acid Dart from my domain 5 times per day, and Magic Stone at will? Do I also get Summon Nature's Ally I?
On a side note, I effectively get 9 Acid darts per day, as the Acid Dart and Elemental Ray are the same exact power, for Druid and Sorcerer.

For gestalt, you'll take the highest hit die of either class, and the most skill points of either class, but not the sum. So, you will not have a d6 hit die; instead, you have 1 d8 hit die (set as 8, because it's maxed for 1st level). You will also have 4+Int skill points (taken from oracle).
In general for gestalt, you just take the higher amount for each stat from either class (hit die, BAB, saves, skill points).

Just so you guys are aware. I am a bit too busy to study my game notes right now. You are going to probably have to wait until January before I can get this going at the pace we had it. Too much homework and my job is in retail. Not to mention I will be out of town for the last week in the year. So I will try to post but it may only be once or twice a week. Cool.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! wishing you all a safe and Happy holiday and looking forward to getting back to the game with you all after the holidays

Shanosuke |

Good news guys, I may decide to start this thing up a bit sooner. So what I need from you guys is to chime in and let me know if you are ready to get started. I am only just now getting back into it and I will but posting a notice for all my campaigns soon. But you guys are a very easy going and by far are my favorite group of players. You adapted very well to my rule modifications without complaint so I would like to start you guys up first.
BTW. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

IM HERE IM HERE IM HERE!!!
Literally chomping at the bit here lol, ive reread our posts so many times now lol its ridiculous, my brother asks why you havent made this into a book yet lol
also been sitting on a speech that I have planned for trent for so long now now I go to go refresh myself on its fictional points lol

Shanosuke |

Truth is I was trying to write this as a book a long time ago. I couldn't quite get into it at the time though. I am taking a risk posting the plot here as I may make another attempt at writing it. Good to see you all haven't left me. I plan on going over the material and revisiting some of the posts tomorrow evening and Monday. I will have the next leg up either Monday night or Tuesday. It is easy to see you are all still here so I won't delay longer than that.

Ashley Aaronson |

About risking the book plot by posting it here-just in case you don't know (as I didn't before I looked it up for a recent clidren's book I have written) legally, a copyright appears to any created work as soon as it is created. You can get 'extra protection' though by registering your work with the copyright agency here: http://www.copyright.gov/ for around $40 or so.

Hey if there's anyone interested in a Fallout style PbP there's just starting up over here. It's meant to be a BIG game looks like so it will need lots and lots of players. Hope ta see ya there!

Terry Allen - GMS' Sorcerers |

Still here, ready to go.
Trent, I actually kind of fell into the safety/QA/etc. job--spent a few years as a bench chemist after I got my undergrad degree in chemistry, then went to grad school in materials science/metallurgy and got a postdoc at Argonne doing low-friction film development. A lot of internal upheavals later, I ended up supporting R&D instead of doing it myself. Less prestige, but also less late nights.

Ashley Aaronson |

Hey Terry so does that mean youy're up on all the stuff that's been happenoing at Fukushima? I've been sent updates and reports from friends with underground news sources saying all kinds of terrifying stuff. Like how the escaped radiation levels are thousands of times higher than has been reported by government and mainstream media. How the government of Canada (and the USA I think) has secretly significantly increased the standards of what is considered 'safe' levels radiation so that they can still say that 'the levels of radiation are below acceptable limits'. That months ago the radiations had already spread across the entire northern hemisphere and that within a few more months will have crossed the (whatever you call it) barrier into the southern barrier as well meaning that the entire planet will have been exposed to severely harmful levels of radiation. And all kinds of more stuff along those lines.
Not to be a downer or anything but it's not every day I get to ask questions directly to a nuculear enginer/chemist kinda person and find out what's really true.

Okay after getting up to date on this campaign here is what I need from you guys before I will continue
@Ashley You do not gain the normal oracle spells because in this world Arcane casters are the only classes that can use magic extensively and at this point in the story, you are the only ones in the land that can be sorcerers, the most powerful class of spell caster. Now, Oracle gets a spell like ability to cast at will. It is an orison so you can cast 0 level SLA infinitely. You do not get a normal spell list though.
@Ashley and Terry, I would like the two of you to post.
Terry you need to respond to Trent please and Ash you need to respond to Salevok. Once that is done I will put forth the next leg.
Now just to inform you guys, combat will be happening soon and I have a few rule changes for you guys when we get there ok. So look forward to that scenario.

Shanosuke |

More like moving on from where we left off. you all seem to have a lot you need to go over before we cut to the week long montage.
Also I need to let you all know. The reason I didn't want to start my games until January is because I will be out of town Friday to Monday. I am going somewhere that won't guarantee internet access. Therefore I may disappear for four days. Just a heads up.

Trent Dunn |

Cool so dumb question should I refresh myself on the speech trent was going to give? Pretty much I planned on having him tell the assembled people that there was no prophecy. But he would be asking them to help them anyways because they have made it further than anyone thought they could and with their help all we could do is grow stronger and blah blah blah :)
SOOOOO who else is really excited to get this game back on lol tell you what after so many of my games fell through during finals all I could do was look forward to this game :)

Ok, so not sure if I understand correctly. Ashley will Never get Oracle any spells? Because if that is the case, the effectiveness of the class is like cut in half. Or do you have something else in mind?
Will post now though
