Jayla Talusia |

Jayla, having stood vigilantly the entire watch, looks sideways at the waking of the other 3.
"Nothing transpired, it be best if the sleep has fully recharged your magical energies. Yet Valeria, please clarify, in your sleeping state you spoke of 'my sweet hoard'. You have an intent for finding a mate?"

Alaros Vattz |

feeling coherent enough to start posting. Pain pills got me a little outa jt though, ha-ha.
yes, surprisingly despite being damn well sedated the past three days a good, natural rest turns out to be quite rejuvenating. I think it's the fact I'm no longer floating in that... Goo.
He brings out a book and writes a quick note in it. Under a small blurg about meeting a group of peculiar adventurers
long periods of sedation not replacement for normal sleep... Why? Quite curious I believe. Requires testing...
well alright ladies, I came here in search of new, unique tech, weaponry, and information, of course I promised some folk I would aid them for access, what is it lovely ladies like you are here for?

Xaikon Traxnik |

Xaikon smiles upon awakening, firstly sits down to mediate to choose the spells she like to have for the day. Once done, she takes out one of her trail rations to eat.
"Do you think the poor creature is fully resurrected outside the room?"

DireMerc |

Looking out the window that looks out into the artificial dessert valley you can confirm that the 4-armed skeletons are once more roaming it. And the alien you killed is out there as well meditating atop a rock formation.
You spend a little time reviewing the writings the alien carved on the walls and you can tell he was somehow cursed by Zyphus to live forever and only the light of the sun can set him free.

DireMerc |

Right well moving on. You go back into the medical bay area and you encounter some small spiderlike drones. There are many of them but you manage to dispatch them (they are fairly weak so skipping that encounter to save time) Checked the other rooms of the medical area you find another survivor. None other than the missing councillor from the town.
He is conscious and alive but he doesn't respond to you in any way and just stares blankly into space.

Jayla Talusia |

Jayla, lacking sense of patience, slaps the councillor on the cheeks a few times to try and have him 'snap to'.
When he doesn't respond to even that, she pauses.
"It is simpler to grab him and carry him out of this place."
Any supplies we can take for later use?
Maybe a nifty console to set a self-destruct sequence?

Valeria Avila Leonard |

Val replies and as she speaks you can see dollar signs in her eyes
"Yeah, I'll carry him back to town.
And I hope we get a good reward.."
"Though I'll need to be careful with my dragon's crest while, I carry him."

DireMerc |

You do find a console that sheds a little light on his condition. Apparently the robots were trying to learn more about arcane spellcasting so they could attempt to replicate the ability. Their latest attempt involved the insertion of nanomachines into his brain to try and discover if there was any difference between a normal brain and a spellcaster's brain.
There is also the matter of the missing girl and the relighting of the torch but you can bring him back and come back later if you you want.

DireMerc |

You leave the facility and make your way back to the surface and head back to the town finding another way out and in that doesn't require swimming underwater.
The townspeople are glad to see the councillor returned but ask that you return to see if you can relight the torch once you are rested.
They give you 4000 gold to split among yourselves as a reward for getting the councilor out and promise more if you can relight the torch.

Xaikon Traxnik |

Upon exiting to the surface, she immediately takes to flight, being happy to be flying in the open air once more. She watches from above for any danger while they transport the councillor back to the town.
She lands when the rest arrive at the town, as the town's guards come to escort the councillor into the town. Once they receive their reward, she asks where the fletcher is so to buy refill her quiver and to buy also a quiver of blunt arrows, knowing the curse still holds sway over the strange creatures.

Xaikon Traxnik |

Once bought her two quivers of new arrows, she meets up with the rest, "Well I am ready to re-enter the strange complex, to see if we can relight the torch and perhaps find a way to remove that resurrecting curse of those poor souls trapped there. Though maybe natural light may remove the curse."

Jayla Talusia |

"If natural light is what is required, the destruction of the roof would be ample. However the potential of that currently is 0%, until a method is found."
Jayla snaps her pale fingers in front of Valeria, to get her to wake from her dollar eye sign trance.
I get the image of a mixture between uncle scrooge and [insert random cartoon with sparkly dreamy eyes]

DireMerc |

I was waiting for someone to answer her but will move things along assuming you are still interested.
You go back down into the complex under torch and make your way all the way to the very depths of the facilities encountering a few dangers along the way but nothing you cant handle. You face off against the skeletons once more and activate the artificial sunlight to destroy them and you avoids a few more hazards and destroy some more defence constructs.
You finally make your way to the core of the facility were you find a large control centre in front of the main reactor. Standing at the controls is an android female.
She brandishes some-kind of alien device that looks like a pistol in your direction. "I assume you are here to relight the torch. I am afraid I cannot allow you to do that. I spent far to much time and effort into deactivating the failsafe to have it reactivate now that I have succeeded my mission." she says

Jayla Talusia |

Jayla's memory seems to try and work, she's rapidly blinking.
But the internal damage caused by the lightning over a year ago had properly fried some of her memory functions.
..100011...
.s0e..is..k1n..
"Sister, what are you saying, what is your objective here?"

Jayla Talusia |

By accident?...
"Вашата цел е да унищожи агенти на Technic Лигата?
Ако не, какво ми е сестра, изискващи мощност за?
Аз съм се интересуват да знаят."
"Is your objective to destroy the Technic League's agents?
If not, what is my sister requiring the power for?
I am interested to know."

DireMerc |

Jayla Talusia |

While Jayla rapidly gives the basics to the others, she is still interested in what her 'sister' can tell her.
"I have recollection of just one year, and the likelihood i was struck by lightning prior to that.
I do not hear this 'Hellion's' call. By the way you describe it, you are compelled to follow his instructions?
Can i inquire to your name, sister?"

DireMerc |

"You are damaged. We can fix you. I am called Meyanda and Hellion is one of the three great intelligence created by the masters to control Divinity. He controls all the machines that remain but he was damaged in the crash and his signal is weak. He requires more power so he can reach further and bring more machines under his control. Only then can we wage war against those that betrayed and killed our creators. The Technic league and all those who follow them will be wiped out once the machines rise against them."

Jayla Talusia |

How interesting, Jayla thinks the same of the Technic League.
Kill them for the sake of survival and removing their vice grip.
It'd be cool if she could be persuaded to join us, but alas that won't happen.
"An interesting perspective, as i too deem the League best gone. From the limited overheard conversations, i gather he was made by those who came from the stars?
Yet, the prospect of being controlled as a mere puppet, is unappealing. I have only recently rid myself of such a situation. Working on a mutual benefit would 'appeal' me more.
These others, i can confirm the women are not part of the League, the male seems too ignorant, to be of their faction."
Jayla pauses to have it get through to Meyanda.
"The torch device, it might yet not be needed to remain inactive.
From what we could see, the town has no love for the Technic League, probability of resisting their presence i would deem close to 100%.
Logically, if the town is granted continued power, they could even develop as an ally against the League.
Would Hellion not benefit from tactical locations and allies?"
I'm taking cha check penalties for diplomacy, but Jayla's attempting to appeal to her logic and perspective of convenience.

DireMerc |

"They will not help us. What the people above call the Torch is actually an emergency fail-safe system that vents excess heat to the surface. I had to deactivated that failsafe to begin the energy transfer. We should have just enough time to transfer the needed power before the generator overloads and explodes destroying the city above and everything else for several miles." she replies calmly.

Jayla Talusia |

Jayla relays thee information.
"This is Meyanda, a follower of an unusual leader named Hellion.
They wish to overthrow the Technic League, a beneficial goal for the region, to what i have seen.
It seems the torch is a venting of heat from an underground source...and it is about to explode. A catastrophic result for the town, is a certainty."
Jayla waits for the others' input.
It's very interesting, playing a character whose views of the League are in line with that of a villain/subordinate of villain.
Noting that androids are emotionless, Jayla would need logical convincing to save the town. Damn their lack of sympathy, eh?

Valeria Avila Leonard |

"She's putting innocents in extreme danger and not caring about deaths of innocents...
That is as bad as the disposed Queen of Korvosa and the League itself."
"By doing that she's sunk to the moral level of the league itself."

Jayla Talusia |

"The concept of moral is unknown to me.
Yet if her acts place her on the same methods as the League, she is acting no better than my enemy."
Jayla calmly answers Meyanda.
"Sister, it is unfortunate no alternate solution was found, for i would really be interested in learning about my origins.
My reasoning for the town being a tactical point was not flawed.
If you are akin to me, you would analyze and ascertain, not assume."
Jayla has her bow ready.

DireMerc |

Seeing the group is about to attack Meyanda takes the initiative and fire her pistol at Valeria sending a bolt of red hot plasma at her.
init: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
ranged touch attack scorch pistol (fire damage): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 221d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
your go, post in any order. she is up some stairs and behind some partial cover so you will need to double move to reach her. You can attack at range however.
