I believe the only effect that has such an immediate range factor is Flagbearer, and it still is about 30'.
I am assuming each square is 5' so 6 squares away would do. Aldiran's AC is not too shabby now that I am taking a second look at the others - the only issue with her being in melee is if she has to cast, but since I already spent one of my 2 daily level 1 spells, I guess it is ok.
I didn't mean you had to stay there lol. I kinda see you as being halfway between the Melees and the bow chumps lol.

BTW, I think Grimgisli is the only character in the group with the Trapfinding ability. I just rolled an 8 on the D20 when I checked the chest before opening it. The dice giveth and the dice taketh away.
That is true its one of the reasons you were selected. Grim it was another mark in your favor out of the crowd lol. And yeah it was a case of the dice give and take. If you had rolled just a bit higher.... in fact yours was the only character of worth that applied that had trap finding lol.
Meh as its opened when its opened either way trap is sprung however now that that is out of the way someone did make the check to notice all the goodies under the chest. So hurray for that.
And yeah that was evil the whole empty chest thing almost as bad as when I.... never mind you will all be happier not knowing lol.
Also how does the group feel about being guinea pigs? I have something I want to try as an alt for an encounter just down the way that I think would be more interesting than just combat. I wish to do it as a skill challenge. If the party would rather do combat that is also fine.

I think that Stolen Faces' reference may work out best in the long run, not penalizing people that chose stuff like Improved Initiative.
I have played in PbP where the adventurers ALWAYS acted first, unless in particular situations of surprise and whatnot, effectively rendering such feat useless -> The impact in game terms was minimal.
We could simply define 2 groups: Those that act before the bad guys, and those that act after the bad guys -> Everyone would post their actions when they can, informing of contingency actions, the divineshadow would resolve them as needed. Think it would slow things too much?
Oh and yeah, GM rolls initiative - it is much better that way.

As to the other, I will abstain from the vote. I would say do whatever is easy and runs smoothly. But I will have to think about switching feats if it goes for the ayes. I may or may not.

Hey.
My mom just asked me to come visit this weekend. I make no promises about how much I will or will not post while there. They re well connected to the internet, and have plenty of resources for me to use through said connection, BUT . . ..
The point is to spend time with family, not closed in a room by myself.
I'm 48. The people I am told are there already are both of my parents, both of my dad's older brothers, and my dad's mom. This could well be the last time all of her boys are together with her. She isn't really ill. She's "just" over 90 years old . . ..
I won't leave until tomorrow morning, so I will be as active until then as normal.

I am with the nay crowd on this one.
Because of the abstains who unless they want to come down on the nay side the Ayes still have it. And Morrigan is right it is something I should have announced in recruitment. I honestly didn't think about it though.
@Morrigan respec those feats and what not as you like.
Once Morrigan has chimed in that she's respeced as she wishes or it hits 8pm my time I will post the next encounter. But I'm going to bed for a few hours just got home from work.

I have respecced. Traits remained the same. Took extra hex (cackle) as a replacement for the feat.
Kool juat woke up will get things up in a bit.
I will do some explaining now. Each turn which represents a minute or two of time each character makes a skill check. This check is what determines what happens this turn. You are looking to build up to a certain total of successes to win. Its like an extended check for several different skills.

divineshadow, is it ok if I OOC here a tad so we can decide what to do next?
My opinion:
- Those with better chances at hit, try to hit the attackers;
- Same reasoning to get the fey free;
- And to get the shelter up and running
In this scenario, Aldiran is only good at the Perception rolls (+6 to find the Fey still undiscovered - one left so I believe only one of us should do it) or Survival to build the shelter (+7, and we need five sucesses, so perhaps two of us should go at this one asap), so I believe she should be assigned to one of those.
Perhaps:
- One to fend off the attackers - Grimgisli?
- One to heal/stabilize the fey - Stolen Face?
- Me and Dorvren to build the shelter?
Dunno, these are just examples so that we are not overlapping in tasks - you guys tell me where you wanna stand :D

@ Aldiran: I actually really agree with that plan. Alex really is only good at Perception (+5), the retrieval of the fey (+10), and possibly taking some heat off of Stolen Face (+10 but with not a lot of HP), if he is near dropping.
The creatures are probably too far away for any spell to prove useful that's in Alex's arsenal.
I will work in a rest period after this people I intended this encounter to stretch you guys thin.... I'm just glad everyone is enjoying though I wish Mier would show back up. He got til morning. But he doesn't seem to be posting at all last I checked so I worry something happened.
