I got nothing. If D can drop it before she's dead, or get away, and we can all come back fresh tomorrow, we're OK for the moment. I'm down to cantrips. Those were some hairy fights. Good action! Our divine ladies are stellar. All the characters are cool and distinct, I think. Get to 3rd or yer a turd! Goldurnit!

Nobody screwed up. D's doing what she would do. She's learning the limits of her selflessness. This will show her that she can't hold her own life as something to gamble with. She's learning to become a leader.
Abigail Merosa |
Abigail watches the two fight, whispering a silent prayer, she holds her holy symbol in hand as she prays.
a slight glow forms around the symbol.
ready action, If either of the two get hit she will channel to heal them for 1d6 ⇒ 4 HP
Derika |
She nods at him while concentrating on connecting her claws with the column. With a look of determination she strikes out with both claws.
Claw: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21 Claw: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Dmg: 1d6 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 6 - 1 = 7
Dmg: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Thangrom "Steelborn" Deepwalker |
Thangrom stores his bow and draws his maul once more, before making his way over towards Derika. "Yer gonna get yer ass killed one o' these days," he says, rapping her lightly on the head. "I seen too many folk get dead 'cause they was overconfident or jus' didn't have their heads on straight."
Derika |
Holding her side she tries to look contrite, "I'm sorry....I know it was risky, but I just couldn't risk it. I couldn't risk it coming after us, or someone else getting hurt because of me. It's not overconfidence, I just....I don't know. I'm sorry okay....I'll be more careful from now on. I think we should take a break now. Damn that sonofab&!~# hit hard."

Vishanti |
Frowning slightly, Vishanti shoos the men over a ways as she takes out a series of poultices and bandages, giving Derika a look as she has her remove her armor and lift her shirt. She sets about bandagig her wounds as best she can, easing some of the pain.
Heal (to determine extent of Damage): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Heal (Treat deadly wounds DC: 20): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21 Derika heals an additional 2 HP
"I know that sometimes the anger takes hold, and it becomes hard to back down, and I know that our goal is to keep the rest of us from harm, but we need you....and you can't always take everything on our own." she says quietly, glaring over at Kerkko.
Abigail Merosa |
Abigail does not say anything, the results are enough for her. despite the fact she values life, there are things that are destructive and posses no life. this thing appeared to be one of those things.
she quietly whispers in celestial and places her hand on Derika's shoulder, suddenly a feeling comes over Derika, like the feeling of standing in the warmth of the sun.
As the warmth washes over her, wounds close.
CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Abigail get a puzzled look on her face and she shakes her hands like flinging something off. then a quick rub she plants both hands on Derika's back (a slight shove but not enough to move her) there is a determined look on Abigail's face
I said CURE LIGHT WOUNDS!: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
she then give a satisfied look, There, you need to improve your faith derika, Sarenrae needed some persuasion this time.
Abigail Merosa |
Abigail simply looks to her with anger starting to grow....since joining there have been severe challenges to her faith and her beliefs as a whole.
If you feel that my presence and the Dawnflower's light are unacceptable, then I will find those that have greater appreciation of the blessings that I can offer. as you seem to feel your own faith is sufficient.
She hands Vishanti the shield she borrowed, perhaps I am no longer worthy to wield this in your family's honor.
Abigail then heads back out looking to head back to a safe area to rest a bit.

Derika |
She shakes her head, "She's gonna need thicker damn skin if she's gonna survive in this world. I've still got healing potions, I don't know what Abagails problem is, but Ill talk to her later. She needs to get over her own damn hangups before she goes telling other people how to live. I don't need to be preached at after having my ass stomped. Her healing has nothing to do with my faith. I'm just hurting and tired and getting tired of her acting like....like I don't know, like the weight of the world is on her shoulders and then whining about it." She sighs, "I'm sorry....stuff has just been stressing me out and I...I just can't deal with constantly having to soothe someone's fragile ego. I didn't mean to start a fight, or upset anyone I just saw that it would mess everyone's weapons up and I.....I wasn't trying to do something bad or act like I didn't need anyone...." Between the stress of everything they had been through, Abby's chastising her for something she didn't see as a flaw, her companions fighting, and being told off for doing the only thing she could think of to do at the time, and unable to deal with anymore emotional stress she buries her face in her hands as she starts to cry. All the years of pent up and shoved down feelings coming to the surface.

Derika |
She nods but she can't get any words out, her distress at upsetting everyone and years of bottled up feelings combine to create a torrent of tears that she can't seem to stop.

Telsyn Setiva |
Telsyn follows Abigail.
Abigail! Please heal Jerrica up. She's in bad shape. Then we can all rest a bit.
If she'll talk to him, he also says, I don't think Vishanti meant you any insult. Stay and help us get rid of this evil. We need your help. We need Sarenrae's help, however it's done.
Derika |
I won't be preached at though when I haven't done anything wrong. And Vishanti is right, the healers ability to heal has nothing to do with the faith of the person who is being healed.

Derika |
Well I play a warpriestess of Sarenrae and I seem to pull it off without acting all sanctimonious and s+*!. All she needs to understand is that she doesn't know us well enough to start judging and throwiing her Goddess around because that's exactly what it feels like. After what we've been through we don't need someone trying to condemn us or acting all holier than thou.

Derika |
Shakes head.....maybe she doesn't realize how she's coming across or how hurtful the things she says can be, but if she does not figure out these things she will end up alienating herself from us.

Thangrom "Steelborn" Deepwalker |
Thangrom rolls his eyes at the whole display. "Alright folks, 'nough o' that. Let's find somewhere safe t' bed down and get a good night's rest. We all seen our fair share o' crap t'day, we'll come back with cooler heads t'morrow."
Derika |
She looks up at him with her tears still falling. Her voice cracking a bit she says, "I'm sorry that my feelings are such an inconvenience or make you feel uncomfortable." She sniffles a bit as she chokes back another sob, "You don't get to decide when I've felt enough, cried enough, or whatever. I feel how I feel and.....I'm sick of people telling me how I should feel." Her sobbing subsides somewhat as she gulps in air and starts to hiccup.

Vishanti |
Say that out loud and see what happens. lol
Sitting beside Derika, Vishanti quietly slips an arm around her shoulders, wordlessly pulling her in a bit. There were times when actions had far more impact than words.
Derika |
This woman while a little emotional at times could also flay someone alive....and enjoy it. So yeah....Id keep that little comment to yourself. Lol
Going between hiccups and sobs she leans into Vishanti, grateful for the comfort as well as the support. She never even realized how much she had been repressing until now. She had no idea when she would be able to stop, it felt like a flood that she was getting swept away in.

Thangrom "Steelborn" Deepwalker |
Thangrom pointedly doesn't reply to Derika's remark, before following after Jerrica. He sits against the wall once more, he weapon close at hand, and sighs heavily as the day's exhaustion washes over him.
Derika |
After everyone leaves and she gets her crying somewhat under control she sniffles a little while looking down at her hands. After a few breaths she asks, "Are you....still mad at me?"
Vishanti |
"No...I'm not mad at you." Vishanti replies, rubbing her hand along Derika's back. "I'm not sure I was really mad at you to begin with. Worried about you getting hurt, definitely. Frustrated that there was nothing I could do."
The shamaness sighs quietly. "You are a very good leader, Derika. A strong woman who stands by her beliefs and her idea of what is wrong and right. And I've seen the fury that takes hold of you sometimes, a primal rage that in it's own way is a thing on beauty, but don't ever forget that as much as you want to protect us all, you aren't all alone, and dying fighting something so we can all get away from it....I don't consider that an acceptable option despite it coming from a noble place."
